It was something that was merely addressed to the superior staff, and the people involved were asked to stop doing so. To me, that seems legit and doesn't lead to conflict between the parties involved. The only people who are making a fuzz out of it are the ones who addressed the warning on the smogon tours server and afterwards proceeded to flood the thread with memes, sarcasm and spam.

Say what you will, but what's being displayed here is the attitude of a schoolyard bully, and I don't know where does someone get off defending such behavior. It's lame and petty.

Hello everyone, I'm making a post to promote my stream! I have been quite regular with it for a few weeks now, and I'm sure I'll keep it up so I feel confident it will be active for the foreseeable future.

I try to narrate/analyze tournaments games as they happen and I'm posting here because I will cover SPL as much as I can. It's also a good way to learn about metagames/generations you might be less familiar with. I try to answer every questions so feel free to pop in and ask whatever you want.

Although I'll have plenty to cover with SPL, I'm also streaming Old Gen laddering and just about any tournament game as long as they catch my interest.

Reading all the drama that happens during tournaments is sort of the only reason I login to Smogon outside of watching all the good battles that get posted here. I don’t totally understand how reactions work on this site and if they have a positive or negative impact on your account, like with Reddit. Why are people asking others to stop cyber-bullying as if that will have any effect on the people doing it? Why can’t someone who moderates this forum just temporarily/permanently disable or remove the ‘haha’ reaction? Why can’t you simply ban users that are taking serious actions to cyber-bully others rather than condoning the use of a reaction emote? If cyber-bullying continues in messages then you can more easily moderate these cases as they would be against site policy. Heck you could even ramp up moderation for the time being if it’s that bad. I feel like the solution is staring you in the face; instead you are trying to reason to people who have nothing to lose from harassing and trolling others. Certainly if much, much larger forums and websites can reasonably handle situations of harassment and bullying then Smogon can more than reasonably handle this.

Hello friends and community wide enemy Perry.

I will be in charge of the Power Rankings article once again for SPLXII! This time around, there will be some slight changes and extra planning steps on my end! In the near future, I will be putting out a google form in order to recruit some helpers -- people who will be able to compile statistics, work on the numerical rankings, assist in the writing of the article, and do anything else needed to assure the quality of the article. If you have any interest in this, please stay tuned for a post on this.

In the meantime, I wanted to gather community input on what specifically should be included in the article. Tournaments like SPL take up a significant portion of hundreds of individual's free time and I want to do everything possible to start it off in a fun, memorable fashion. If you are a manager, player, or spectator and have any interest in the tournament or power rankings, it would be greatly appreciated if you could take a minute of your time to fill out this google form! PM me if you have any questions.
