[RAI] Luigi vs CrashinBoomBang [TYR] - CBB is coming off a hot win with a sub dd zard perfectly crafted to defeat the wolfpack tendencies to run mono flamethrower clef, as well as being a good anti meta pick vs screens. I reckon he will come up with something equally interesting to get a good mu vs luigi, who I expect to use either screens or some regular balance.
[CRY] Sjneider vs BK [TIG] - Both strong players but I feel BK is more unpredictable in his team choices.
[WOL] Dragon Claw vs Santu [SCO] - Interested to see which of these will win the serp screens mirror. I think DC is a bit unlucky to be 1-3 and I back him to win this time.
[RUI] Frania vs London Beats [CLA] - Frania looked strong in BW and I think hes going to bring some heat for this one. London brought some standard (at this point in spl anyway) screens last week and imo could easily have lost if some sets were different/para turns went differently.

I know there is not much discussion in this thread, but I think someone should formally note what we are all thinking: set-up spam has become very mainstream in the metagame. Hyper Offense has grown into a standard and we have reached the point where the Clefable balance and bulky offense status quo that we once knew and loved has arguably encountered its biggest rival yet.

Screens, Contrary, Quiver Dance, and Tail Glow galore seem to be defining the tier now. Serperior is among the most used Pokemon and it is hard to go a week without seeing a Serperior, Latias, or something else setting up screens so that a Volcarona, Manaphy, Mega Altaria, or other win condition can try their hand at breaking or sweeping.

The metagame is defined by players identifying the right sequences to unlock a win path and there is less room for more drawn out games like we are used to. This is not even necessarily an unwelcome change as new gameplay and paces invite plenty of room for creativity and the metagame is continuing to evolve, but it is absolutely different than before.

Games where at least one player utilized a HO team (screens, webs, sr lead + set-up spam, etc.):

Needless to say, this makes up a very large portion of the total games and the old metagame is totally defaced. I do not really have any formal comment on this being better/worse for the tier or any action being needed, but it is arguably the most drastic metagame shift we have seen from an old generation in SPL in recent history, so that is pretty cool.

ORAS OU: Luigi vs Dragon Claw - Really close game. Erz has been on an upward-trend, while Luigi won his game last week in a really fortunate fashion. Nevertheless, I think that Erz lacks consistency a little bit, which is why I predict Luigi to win. Could go both ways though.

ORAS OU: London Beats vs Sjneider - Neider didn't play well last week, but if he doesn't miscalc he's one of the stronger players in the pool. On the other hand, London Beats only recycled teams so far and got extremely fortunate. Clear win for neider imo.

ORAS OU: baddummy vs CrashinBoomBang - Time for CBB to bounce back. Idk how comfy baddummy is with the current meta, but I personally don't think that it benefits his playstyle. If he can come out of his comfort zone, then maybe a win for him is possible, but I also think that CBB is the better player.

ORAS OU: Eternal Spirit vs BK - Closest game of the week to me, even closer than GB vs Erz. Both are kinda cheesy with their team choices, but I feel like Gama has more flexibility since he actually builds teams and if he doesn't go too crazy, he can win.
