Randbats Spotlight Tournament
Welcome to the thirteenth bimonthly Spotlight Tour! This iteration will feature the recently elected Bring 6 Pick 4 Random Doubles Battle format. This tournament is your chance to showcase your skills in Bring 6 Pick 4 Random Doubles Battle in a single elimination best-of-3 series*.
* Keep in mind that, unlike previous spotlights, the best of 3 structure is already implemented once you load a game in this format
What is Bring 6 Pick 4 Random Doubles Battle?
This isn't actually VGC, but it's the closest Randbats will get! It's Gen 9 Random Doubles where you have to choose 4 of your 6 Pokemon to use in battle, like how VGC does it! For the same reason, this format will be in best of 3 and will include Team Preview, Open Team Sheets and the classic VGC timer, so be ready to take quick decisions!
Prizes
The winner of the Spotlight Tournament will receive the Room Prize Winner rank in the Random Battles room for a month and the possibility to pick a format for the next Randbats Spotlight poll!
How does the tour work?
It’s simple:
1. Contact your opponent on their Smogon wall and decide on a time to battle.
2. Battle each other in the format “[Gen 9] B6P4 Random Doubles Battle (Bo3)”. This format can be found under 'Randomized Format Spotlight', at the top of the third column. Alternatively, use /challenge[Gen 9] B6P4 Random Doubles Battle (Bo3).
3. The first player to 2 wins advances to the next round.
Note that this tournament will end before the next Randbats Spotlight Ladder commences, i.e., before May 2025. This will determine the pace of the tournament.
Please note:
1. All scheduling attempts MUST be done publicly on Smogon Walls. No other proof of communication will count for act calls regarding scheduling attempts.
2. You MUST post replays of your wins.
