Week 4
The next mon that needs some love is.............

Abomasnow @ Light Clay
Modest Nature
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Aurora Veil
- Earth Power

Abomasnow is one of the nicer mons going for NU right now thanks to Aurora Veil. It also gained Earth Power this generation which allows it to hit Steel types reliably unlike Focus Blast. You would commonly see it on hyper offensive teams to put up said Veil for its sweeping partners whether they be weak defensively or not. Either way, let's see what you guys come up with!! Good luck =)

Reserving rotom-frost
:ss/Rotom-Frost:
Rotom-Frost @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Blizzard
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt

What may seem like a weird partner for Abomasnow really isn't.
Rotom-Frost can come in (after setting up Veil) on the best Stealth Rock-setter, that Abomasnow will face a lot in the early rounds of the match; Sandaconda. Rotom-Frost also really really appreciates the 100% Blizzards from Abomasnow's hail, 'cause the 70% really feels more like 50%.
Another great synergy is the fact that Rotom-Frost and Abomasnow have similar switchins, due to their typing, which means that Rotom-Frost has a good shoot at breaking them 'cause they are most likely already weakened. Rotom-Frost in itself is decently bulky so it doesn't struggle that much setting up Nasty Plots but with Veil-support from Abomasnow it get's a lot easier.

Side note: on non Veil sets like Specs, Rotom-Frost can provide Defog for Abomasnow and also serves as a great pivot.

:ss/Silvally-water:
Silvally-Water @ Water Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Multi-Attack
- Psychic Fangs
- U-turn

Silvally-Water and Abomasnow are good together because Silvally isn't running Defog.
Silv Water takes down most of Aboma's counters such as Flareon and Silv Fire being a couple. Aboma also takes down Silvally Water's counters like Eldegoss, Silv Grass, and Jolteon.
Together they also take down big walls like Cofa and Sandaconda.

Reserving togedemaru

:togedemaru:

Togedemaru @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Iron Head
- Zing Zap
- Nuzzle

Togedemaru and Abomasnow share excellent offensive synergy. Togedemaru can find many opportunities to come in throughout the game, often revenging opposing sweepers or using its typing to threaten Pokemon like Clefairy and Rotom-Frost. An opponent's response to Togedemaru is usually to send in a physically bulky Pokemon like Sandaconda or Garbodor. Togedemaru is able to U-Turn out into Abomasnow, letting it take advantage of these Pokemon's typing and lower Special Defense to fire off a powerful attack or set up Aurora Veil. The chip damage from Hail + U-Turn is also very effective at wearing down opposing teams for other offensive threats to sweep.

Abomasnow and Togedemaru stack weaknesses to Fighting and Fire, so other teammates must take care of that; this core is primarily used for its offensive synergy. Togedemaru gives Abomasnow opportunities to wallbreak or set up Veil and helps it build chip damage on the opposing team, making it an excellent partner!

reserving Wishiwashi
wishiwashi-school.gif

Wishiwashi @ Choice Specs
Ability: Schooling
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump/Scald
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- U-turn

I know Choice Specs Wishiwashi may seem a bit strange, but hear me out. Abomasnow's mortal enemies are Fire-types, and Wishiwashi can easily extinguish them with an absurdly power Hydro Pump/Scald (depends on how much you value accuracy over power.) It can also give Abomasnow a safe switch-in via its slow U-Turn.

Abomasnow provides the key to this Wishiwashi set functioning well: Aurora Veil. Normally, an offensive Wishiwashi set would be prone to getting knocked out of its Schooling forme through taking strong retaliatory hits. However, with Aurora Veil up, our fishy friend functionally has its defenses doubled, making it a terrifying foe to face in combination with Abomasnow.

rapidash-galar

:ss/Rapidash-Galar:
Rapidash-Galar @ Life Orb
Ability: Pastel Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough
- Zen Headbutt
- High Horsepower

rapidash-galar can check fighting types for abomasnow offensively and has an amazing speed-tier ein general and is therefore able to set-up a swords dance easily behind aurora veil which creates the perfect opportunity for rapidash.
rapidash can also break through strong dark-type pkmn such as silvally-dark and is able to hit fire-type pkmn hard with its coverage-option in high horsepower which are troublesome for abomansow during the 4x super effective fire-type attacks and the higher-speed tiers they have, whereas aboasnow can use its offensive movepool to dish out plenty of damage on pkmn like quagsire which can be troublesome for rapidash.

in overall i think :rapidash-galar: and :abomasnow: form a good synergy with each other and help each other out with troublesome pkmn and when veil is up rapidash has an easier time to set-up its swords dance and late game sweeps through opposing teams with much more bulk in the back.

Sandaconda @ Leftovers
Ability: Shed Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Glare

Since Abomasnow is going to want to click Blizzard or Giga most of the time next to Aurora Veil, having any Steels or Flyings gone will kind of need to be there. This is where the snake comes in. Sure, Aboma has Earth Power, but again clicking STABs is the idea and Sandaconda takes the pressure off of Aboma. The speed investment allows it to outspeed opposing Abomasnow if need be.
