A tiebreaker is needed for this previous week

This week's threat is ...Victini!

:ss/victini:

Victini @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Glaciate
- U-turn
Submissions end Friday! Good luck gamers!

Meteor Beam Clefable
:SS/clefable:
Clefable @ Power Herb :Power-Herb:
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 40 SpA / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Flamethrower
- Meteor Beam
- Calm Mind

Victini can serve as a viable switch in to calm mind Clefable, resisting moonblast and flamethrower while 2hkoing it with v create. It doesn't take all that much damage from thunder either (Edit: My bad, +1 thunder deals slightly under half). This set utilizes meteor beam and power herb to take down Victini while still keeping the basic attributes of calm mind Clefable. This set isn't perfect, as it sacrifices soft boiled to make room for meteor beam. But after a calm mind on the switch, Clefable can get a guaranteed OHKO on Victini with meteor beam, opening up room for Pokemon like scarfed Kartana and making bulky steel types like Ferrothorn or Corviknight more confident in switching in.

Calm mind clefable normally runs 60 speed evs to outspeed uninvested Corviknight. The reason I have 40 special attack evs is to not get screwed over by low rolls.

Clefable is at +2 here because you'd use calm mind when the opponent goes to victini, then get the meteor beam boost on the next turn.
+2 40 SpA Clefable Meteor Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Victini: 342-404 (100.2 - 118.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 156+ Def Clefable: 238-282 (60.4 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

While victini is similar to everything else in the regard that it doesn't want to switch into the choice specs ghost type with 140 base attacking stacks, doubly so since it is weak to shadow ball, it actually revenge kills in a pinch.

252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Aegislash-Shield: 366-432 (140.2 - 165.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
It wins in a 1v1 scenario and a revenge killing one against blade form due to the staggering power behind v-create, as well as if a choice specs aegislash locks into a move not called shadow ball: even shadow sneak only does up to 36.9% to a 0hp/0def victini

So, ladies and gentlemen

I present to you
:occa berry: :aegislash: Occa berry Aegislash :aegislash_blade: :occa berry:

The idea behind this set is simple: use an occa berry to lure in victini to rk aegi and kill it in turn with head smash

:ss/aegislash: :ss/aegislash_blade:
Aegislash @ Occa Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Close Combat
- Shadow Claw
- King's Shield

King's shield is used here in order to allow aegislash to tank a v-create; as it does not do so in blade form (and doesn't even tank without occa, even at -1)

Proof of concept:
Defensive calcs:
-1 252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Shield: 246-290 (94.2 - 111.1%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Occa Berry Aegislash-Shield: 184-217 (70.4 - 83.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Offensive calcs:
252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Head Smash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 380-448 (111.4 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

it doesn't get stupider than this.
it does something funny but nothing else lol
also works for other fire types like tran or whatever
:ss/Tapu Bulu:

Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- High Horsepower / Darkest Lariat
- Swords Dance

- Close Combat
Victini comes in and expects to OHKO bulu, right?
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tapu Bulu: 434-512 (154.4 - 182.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
yeah no
252 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Occa Berry Tapu Bulu: 217-256 (77.2 - 91.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

and nuke it after the defense + speed drops
252+ Atk Tapu Bulu High Horsepower vs. -1 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 342-404 (100.2 - 118.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
or
252 Atk Tapu Bulu Darkest Lariat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 186-220 (54.5 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

High Horsepower instead of stone miss because i hate missing
but you can also run lariat for guaranteed no-miss (doesn't OHKO but bc of v-create speed drops you outspeed and OHKO on the next turn.

This week our threat will be

Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP / 220 Atk / 32 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Psychic Fangs
- Flare Blitz / Close Combat / Sucker Punch / Roost / Filler

Clef can usually switch in on most mew (spikes, cleric, etc) sets and set up.
Basic SD mew (uncommon but w/e) with gunk shot.
Last slot is basically filler, usually you run blitz, cc, sucker, or roost.

HP and SpD EVs to avoid the 3HKO from clef's moonblast. Max speed for the good speed tier, and the rest dumped into attack for max power.
0 SpA Clefable Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 32 SpD Mew: 94-112 (27.4 - 32.7%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 220 Def / 40 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock/Spikes

The classic T-Wave + Iron Head Ferro from Steez. Normally Clef sits on Ferrothorn, even with Gyro. However this lets Ferro actively beat CM Clef with Para + Iron Head flinches. 40 speed is to outrun CM Clef after it has been paralyzed. CM Clef rarely runs Flamethrower cause Thunder hits Pex while crippling Tran + Melm with potential para.

0 Atk Ferrothorn Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 196+ Def Clefable: 152-182 (38.5 - 46.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Nasty Plot

This set is relatively simple. The very first thing you think of when looking at Hydreigon is it's quad fairy weakness. Clefable lives most hits from +2 Hydreigon and OHKOs it with a moonblast. Flash Cannon Hydreigon with nasty plot fixes this issue. I actually used to run a scarfed set with flash cannon to kill Alolan Ninetales on the switch, but that set can't deal with Clefable nearly as well. A nasty plot set fits much better as a Clefable lure because you won't have to rely on predictions and you actually OHKO Clefable after a nasty plot. You'd normally run life orb but if you don't want life orb recoil, expert belt is an alternative option. Leftovers aren't recommended because it doesn't guarantee the OHKO (Unless you're a psychopath who uses modest Hydreigon).

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Clefable: 484-569 (122.8 - 144.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Expert Belt Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Clefable: 446-526 (113.1 - 133.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252 SpA Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Clefable: 372-438 (94.4 - 111.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Swords Dance Lando-T
:ss/landorus-therian:

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Substitute

Ah yes, another day, another opportunity for lando-t to flex his versatility, with the bonus of probably being the first mon here that isn't an unset.

Now, standard spD lando-t does nothing to clefable: with eq only doing up to 41% with eq to the given spread, let alone if it runs more defence EVs, and clef being completely immune to his passive damage in stealth rocks and toxic. However, given the ability to boost up alongside clefable, lando-t becomes destructive, even at +2 it 2hkos with stone edge, doing up to 98 with eq:

+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 196+ Def Clefable: 220-259 (55.8 - 65.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 196+ Def Clefable: 330-388 (83.7 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Where this set truly shines as a clef lure is that it is a huge threat outside of it. It isn't dedicating a moveslot or item to luring and beating this mon in particular, this is an actual, insanely threatening set that will put up good performances if given the opportunity to set up a substitute.

Actually used this a few weeks ago and claimed a few :clefable: kills, along with victimizing a few :tapu fini: and :tapu lele: who seem to be under the impression that the panda is simply going to click close combat.

Clef, and other defensive fairies, love to switch-in on Bandgoro.

Can optionally run LO to make this less prediction reliant, or to better use BP.
