Crawdaunt Status Spam

This team attempts to circumvent the issues that choice band Crawdaunt has against faster teams with thunder wave support from Melmetal and Dragapult while taking advantage of how the lobster softens up defensive cores with boots Dragapult and bulky swords dance Rillaboom in the back as late-game sweepers. Grassy terrain allows Crawdaunt to heal off chip damage from hazards so it can come in more freely without necessitating hazard removal from Zapdos, who prevents the team from being exploited by grassy terrain mirror teams that attempt to leverage the mechanic more offensively. Swampert and Melmetal greatly appreciate the extra recovery of grassy terrain while spreading more status to boost hex from Dragapult. Swampert, Dragapult and Zapdos form a volt-turn core to bring Crawdaunt onto the field safely. This team relies on priority from Crawdaunt and Rillaboom to hold up against more offensive teams, so good positioning with the aforementioned pivot core is paramount in those matchups. Against bulkier teams, this team appreciates the strong item removal of Crawdaunt and Rillaboom to wear down defensive cores with stealth rock from Swampert.

Note: Melmetal runs superpower instead of high horsepower to threaten Ferrothorn (which is difficult for the team to remove) without letting Heatran and Melmetal in for free. It also runs thunder wave instead of toxic to provide the lobster more opportunities to outspeed its opponents.

Tailwind Offense - https://pokepast.es/7cfb3e04c70dd02a

:Crawdaunt: :Tornadus-Therian: :Tapu Lele: :Hawlucha: :Ferrothorn: :Landorus-Therian:

Pretty fun team that uses Tailwind with various sweepers to overwhelm the opponent.
  • Crawdaunt is the main wallbreaker, with Tapu Lele being the secondary vs particularly fat teams
  • Tornadus provides fast Tailwind support, and immediate utilization through Eject Button, or just through U-turn otherwise
  • Hawlucha acts as a cleaner/sweeper that can function outside of Tailwind. However Hawlucha itself runs Tailwind to surprise Rain and to support the team in case it doesn't get a sweep going.
  • Landorus & Ferro provide hazards & additional bulk against things like Dragapult, Weavile, Melmetal
Some things to note:
  • Run Jolly Crawdaunt (ew) to outspeed Dragapult under Tailwind
  • Replace Knock Off with Stone Edge on Landorus if desired, but I prefer Knock Off
  • As with many non-weather teams, getting the lead wrong vs rain can put you at a disadvantage
  • You can play around with the Ferrothorn set & spread a bit to better handle stuff like Dragonite
Some replays:

KokoShifu Future Sight + Hazard Stack

This team attempts to abuse the tried-and-tested duo of Tapu Koko and Urshifu Rapid-Strike, with electric terrain allowing the water bear to push through bulky water types with thunder punch. Slowbro provides future sight support for Urshifu to break through its grass type checks that are unfazed by Tapu Koko and the water bear alone, while Nihilego also preys on said grass types. Speaking of Shiny Lillie the jellyfish, I was not bashed in the head one too many times by AquaticCarlie in our recent SS UU tie, it fills a genuine niche - it sets stealth rock, provides knock off support, sits in a good speed tier for this team and annoys the immortal Clefable (which is a major roadblock for this team unless it has a future sight + surging strikes combination lined up). Ferrothorn and Landorus-Therian are a defensive staple ever since generation 5, and they join the pink salamander to form a solid defensive backbone that gives the offensive core some breathing room.

Note: Nihilego can equip thunderbolt instead of knock off if passive teams that rely on Corviknight to remove hazards harass this team too much.

THE KOKO ZONE
(Toxic Tapu Koko + Choice Specs Magnezone Bulky Offense)

Here we have what I believe to be one of the more underrated offensive cores in Choice Specs Magnezone + Tapu Koko. As opposed to the more underwhelming combination of Tapu Koko + Regieleki, where Tapu Koko must do all the heavy lifting, Magnezone allows the work to be split among the two, with one of the more notable interactions being Magnezone being able to trap and pick off even Ferrothorn form 60% Health at minimum (which is especially important for the fact Ferrothorn cannot escape if it's in Range), which isn't chip that's very hard to get on between Urshifu, Tapu Koko, and Magnezone itself. As well as that, Magnezone is able to seriously put on the hurt on Grounds trying to come in on a suspected Electric Move, being able to 2HKO even Hippowdon after minimal chip damage with Flash Cannon.

Because of Magnezone having power in spades, while removing would be headaches in Defensive Heatran, Melmetal, Ferrothorn, and Corviknight. and Tapu Koko being a strong anti offense tool that can pressure grounds with Toxic, it makes it very easy for the two to open each other up to smash through the rest of the opposing team through raw force.
Urshifu is here for its ability to reliably U-Turn to Tapu Koko and Magnezone on its usual answers like Slowbro, and Toxapex to begin punching holes, while having strong priority to patch up how otherwise awkward this team's Speed Control is.
Stealth Rock Landorus is a potent teammate here for its ability to force in opposing Corviknight and switch right to Magnezone, so that it can win the hazard war uncontested, even being able to Knock Off Shed Shell from the occasional Corviknight on stall teams.

I've had this team for a while, and I'm still quite proud of it, still being an absolute blast long after I'd made it! This team heavily rewards good positioning and smart play, so much so there's several mons that while scary, still have to try and play to your tune dancing around the annoyance of Tapu Koko, and raw power of Magnezone that give them little room to do what they want to.

Nature's Madness is an option over Toxic on Tapu Koko, but generally you will get a lot more use out of Toxic due to Magnezone being able to pressure or remove most of Nature's Madness' targets anyway.
Shed Shell on Toxapex is also an option for a stronger matchup into Heatran, though the momentum Eject Button provides allows you to win before Heatran can in most cases.

Weavile koko balance

This is a very balanced team which consist of tapu koko and weavile as the main powerhouses and a lot of support from thier other teammates with moves like knock off or with residual damage due to hazard stacking. Koko can come in very freely and it can gain you a lot of momentum which is very useful in order to make progress with moves like knock off , especially while hazards are on the field. Weavile is very potent in this build because the support it has compliments it very well.

On this team I use a very unusual landorus set which was inspired by one of my buddies.Max hp max attack adamant with soft sand , the earthquakes that this pokemon spam are extremly strong and neutral pokemon like ferro clef and sometimes even hippo since they run a lot of sp def these days , cannot sit on it like they are used to , instead they are pressured into switching out and obviously this gains you a lot of momentum which is what you are looking for with this kind of team. This lando does most of the heavy lifting when it comes to dealing damage , especially in the mid-game.It can knock off opposing landorus and corvis , which are landos most common checks , basiclly removing thier passive healing and take advantage of them with u turn , having low speed obviously helps with getting the slower u turn on opposing lando. Lando does incredibly high damage to melmetal which runs a lot of bulk and sometimes players arent afraid of lando eq and just try to finish lando off with their melm and this set catches a lot of them off guard.Lando is probabbly the mvp of this team .

This team is concetrated on making fast progress so you can finish the game off with cm clef or weavile , very simple architecture but works well.

You can make clefable flamethrower instead of tbolt if you wish .

BROKO THE LOCO STALL

Koko as a stall slot solves a lot of headaches that other stalls sort of have to accept are situations where they have to "just outplay" it.

The idea and game plan remains the same and all the sets are what you've expected from the regular stall slots (Keep rocks off as much as possible with Corviknight, remove items with Toxapex, ruin weathers' day by statusing all their setters, ruin trick attempts with sticky hold Gastrodon) but Koko allows you to slot some of the more greedy options as far as stall goes with its' pivoting capabilities.

For one thing Koko has one of the fastest statuses in the game which lets it act as a suicidal entry/last resort versus some of stalls worst match ups, this being Tapu Lele, Stored Power sweepers and Bandtar sand.

For a second boon it entirely resets terrain which lets it status and "look" for some of the more annoying stall solutions: Koko often scouts scarf/Specs lele and forces out Fini in the early-mid game due to the threat a potential Thunderbolt brings.

For a third boon it has a fantastic speed tier: Outpacing Weavile and modest Dragapult is no joke and threatening kills on most fairy weak threats in the metagame is incredibly appreciated on Stall. This incredible speed tier also lets it turn the tables on some archetypes like Torn T + Slowbro pivot-based offense by statusing the regenerators then turning their attempts to pivot against the stall team with volt switch.

Another thing Koko lets you do as a stall player is to run something most offenses loathe dealing with, A pex with scald and actual items. Pex on most stalls often has to go Shed Shell to offset the weakness and propensity it has to be bullied out of the game by Heatran which often hampers both the longevity and aggressive threat Toxapex can do into a lot of offenses, but since Koko scares out so many knock off attempts in the tier this lets you get away with Toxapexes that actually get to engage in the game past its' function as a Light screen and knock off utility bot.

Here Pex is a scald LS knock off recover black sludge set to really bolster its' match up versus Lele + breakers while being a secondary way of trolling trick attempts but could very well be Rocky helmet haze scald knock recover depending on how confident you are playing into the potential Heatran + Lele match up. With the added Scald from Gastrodon you are looking at twice the potential to scald fish which helps with match ups like Bandtar and Lele and makes them scared to switch in Haphazardly.

The team is as per usual of stall not free of faults: If the opponent remembers how Koko stalls usually play into most wallbreakers they'll just aim to avoid status at all costs and force you into stupid situations like staying in and heal belling with Clefable on something clefable dosen't want to heal bell on at all (Gking being noteworthy). Another issue a team like this faces is its' horrendous match up into the potential Grass spam offense: If that Rilla or Kartana comes in on a good turn where Corviknight is at a low percentage and you didn't get a chance to scald fish them with the two waters or status the Rilla with Koko and Blissey you are in for an absolutely horrendous time.

There's more examples where Koko has shown up on stall but this is meant to showcase more why it has a niche from a stall spammers' perspective, the mon is very neat when used as a stall slot over things like Torn T and Zapdos.

Koko Shifu spikes

shoutouts- cyberacc Slowpoke Fan ty both for helping theorise/build the team, it would have been much worse otherwise.

The idea of the team is pretty simple, its an urshifu-weave offense, with koko+zap for a pivoting core and lando+ferro to kinda hold on to slow some momentum from the opposition.

Pretty much anything faster than koko is an issue to the team (think pult), but otherwise you can just outplay most other offenses (lol)
