incin resists chandy's dual stab, and is able to constantly pivot into it, with hex only being a roll to 3hko on statused incin. 20 atk to ensure ko with knock off so u dont get fked by rolls, and parting shot vs uturn depends on preference, attacking drops can be nice but blocked by clear body, uturn is p basic. careful since overheat dmg does not matter as much, but if u want ur overheat to hit harder vs coba and lix, just run sassy which also gives u slower pivot which is nice. not sure if 248 hp vs 252 hp matters, but hey i love my hp on rocks weak mons to be odd even tho they're equipped w boots, sue me.

The good hound Zygarde is a CHECK.
Even with it's bad bulk, he can survive one hit from Chandelure (Chand 2HKOs Zydog) and destroy it with Thousand Arrows, Outrage and Stone Edge.
This is a tricky match up, if chandelure manages to hit a Zygarde with a status condition (w Hex) or pick off a below 50% one, there's no way Zygarde can do it's job.
The best strategy I can come up with to check Chandelure using Zygarde is by revenge killing it or thanks to a good prediction. And you can take the risk to switch in, but that leave your hound in a precarious spot.
I consider this mon as a check, because it can get destroyed with the right prediction and is not always a true counter, eitherway it's debateble if it's a check or a counter.

Trace allows it to absorb the Fire Blast as well as being immune to Hex. It also has no reason to switch up its already current set to deal with it. Wins late game with T-Wave and Recover as well.

the given spread on dragalge allows it to easily eat hits from chandelure, with the best being a 4hko from hex. in return, dragalge has a chance to OHKO with draco meteor and easily wins the 1v1. its poison typing means it can't even be posioned by toxic from said chandelure, making it harder for the ghost light. in addition, dragalge can lay toxic spikes for your team AND use flip turn to be a slow pivot.

overall, dragalge is a COUNTER to chandelure.

Starmie’s a fun soft check I’ve been using lately, you can aggressively switch in and take whatever hit, while Hydro does a lot back (it doesn’t kill). I actually ran spin last slot but clearly Recover is more useful against Cobalion.

when cobalion sees doublade, it needs to l2p, cuz it hardly even scratches doublade even at +6. meanwhile +2 cc from doublade is a roll to ohko. doublade can basically set up all over cobalion and threaten the opposing team with boosted attacks if not directly threatened.

Vileplume is a passive counter to SD Cobalion. Strength Sap allows Vileplume to come in on an SD/attacking move and heal right back up to full HP while lowering Cobalions attack. Effect Spore also gives Vileplume that 30% chance to just straight up end the Cobalion as well. Clicking Stun Spore at full HP gives it an option to do something to it by paralysing it but more times than not it'll just sit there and spam Strength Sap unable to be touched.

Toxtricity is a good soft check as it resists its stab and is neutral to its coverage due to its frailty it can only swap in once maybe twice.

salazzle is great vs cobalion as it can come in on any attack barring stone edge and OHKO it in return due to its higher speed. however, stone edge has a 56% chance to OHKO lazzle so therefore it is a solid offensive CHECK.
