Thus, the Spirit continues to Wander...
[OVERVIEW]
Although Runerigus sports good physical bulk, a great movepool, and a unique ability in Wandering Spirit, it is nevertheless a poor defensive entry hazard setter. Runerigus has multiple defensive weaknesses, making it weak to common threats like Rotom, Silvally-Dark, and Skuntank, and lacks reliable recovery. It suffers from overwhelming competition from Ground-types like Rhydon and Palossand, with the former having a better typing and stats and the latter having better longevity thanks to reliable recovery.

[SET COMMENTS]
Runerigus can try to use its wide utility movepool and good physical bulk to take on physical attackers like Sawk and Kangaskhan. However, Runerigus's many weaknesses and lack of reliable recovery make it much easier to wear down than one may expect. This set is done better by Rhydon and Palossand; the former's better defensive typing and stats make it more consistent against Electric- and Poison-types like Rotom and Skuntank, while the latter's reliable recovery makes it more consistent as a wall compared to Runerigus.
