Stall Team [Platinum OU]

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Sand Stream
Impish [+Def -Sp.Atk]
252 HP | 24 Atk | 192 Def | 40 Sp.Def
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake

Used to set up Stealth Rock ASAP. Along with Sand Stream. Ice Fang to counter Salamence and Flygon. Earthquake for STAB, Slack Off to recover up to 50% HP. Max HP EVs maximizes overall defenses, 40 Sp.Def to take hits from Hidden Power. 24 Atk EVs to increase chances of kills. 192 Def with Impish nature takes me 2 points above 188.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Serene Grace
Impish [+Def -Sp.Atk]
240 HP | 160 Def | 76 Sp.Def | 32 Spd
- Wish
- Iron Head
- Toxic
- Body Slam

A general supporting tank Jirachi, this set is tailored to use Jirachi's resistances and great defenses to pass Wishes around to other members of my team. Body Slam is an awesome move on Jirachi, dealing some damage with a 60% chance of paralyzing anything but Ghost-types. Iron Head provides basic STAB, as well as allowing for effective Paraflinch after a successful Paralysis from the second move.

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Liquid Ooze
Calm [+Sp.Def -Atk]
252 HP | 120 Def | 136 Sp.Def
- Surf
- Toxic Spikes
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Rapid Spin

HP [Electric] counters opposing Tentacruel's, Gyarados, Empoleon, and Starmie. Rapid Spin any SR, TSpikes, or Spikes off. Toxic Spikes to set up ASAP. Surf for STAB and more coverage. This Tentacruel is also good against none-sleeping Dusknoir and Spiritomb.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold [+Def -Atk]
252 HP | 216 Def | 8 Sp.Def | 32 Spe
- Recover
- Perish Song
- U-turn
- Grass Knot

Perish Song Celebi is an excellent addition to any stall-oriented team. However, this Celebi can simply switch in, Perish Song, and wait out the turns until the last Pokemon is KOed once the count hits zero. Recover allows Celebi a reliable method to heal and Grass Knot is chosen for obvious STAB. U-Turn to counter other Celebi's and scout the team.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Keen Eye
Impish [+Def -Sp.Atk]
252 HP | 64 Atk | 172 Def | 20 Spd
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Brave Bird

Good for abusing its many resistances. Whirlwind stops alot of stat-uppers such as Snorlax. Also good to phaze things for extra Spike damage. Brave Bird is needed to do something useful to Starmie, Tentacruel, and Gyarados, 3 big opponents to stall teams who think they can take on Skarmory.

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Levitate
Bold [+Def -Atk]
252 HP | 44 Def | 212 Spd
- Discharge
- Rest
- Shadow Ball
- Sleep Talk

Its immunities to Fighting, Ground and Normal coupled with its Speed allow it to support the team by crippling the opposition's physical attacks. Leftovers, coupled with Rest and Sleep Talk, give Rotom increased survivability along with healing status effects. Discharge to counter more things and more status effect, along with Shadow ball for coverage also and its primary STAB move.

this doenst really look like stall, more of a balanced team. If you really want to play stall, look at obis teambuilding process in the stickies, and make your team from there. The first thing is having all 3 spikes (tspike, spikes, sr) spinner is covered by starmie, spin blocker is covered by rotom. You also need some kind of bulky sweeper to help aid your team.

Edit: Skarmbliss works very well in stall

I see. I'm fairly new to stall, and this seemed alot like stall to me, so. >.>;

But any suggestions to the team besides this? Any Pokemon that need to be cut or changed, altered EVs/movesets?

Yeah, team doesnt look like stall that much... most of the pokes are Physically oriented, if you want to make it more of an Stall team I would give Rotom-H an Sleep Talker moveset either:
a. Rest + Sleep Talk, Discharge, Will-o-Wisp for a double status.
b. Rest + Sleep Talk, Shadow Ball, HP Fight for coverage and dealing damage.

Else than that, your descriptiosn are way too short, making them longer wont hinder you.

I like that. And I'll update my descriptions later, should I cut Starmie for a Skarmory to have a Spiker?

I like the Starmie, but yes, I'd agree; drop it for Skarmory if you want to get more stall-ish, or change it into an offensive variant if you're going to go balanced, or replace it with a set-up sweeper.

Starmie (Natural Cure) * Leftovers/Life Orb
Timid (+Spe/-Atk)
4 Hp/252 Spa/252 Spe
-Surf/Hydro Pump
-Thunder Bolt
-Recover
-Grass Knot/Psychic/HP Fire

or:

Skarmory (Keen Eye) * Leftovers/Shed Shell
Impish (+Def/-Spa)
252 Hp/64 Atk/172 Def/20 Spe
-Spikes
-Roost
-Whirlwind
-Brave Bird

Giving you a decent phazer/tank. Skarmory can also help against some of the tougher physical attackers, especially Scizor.

Jirachi is my favorite Pokemon and I'd rather use a team that helps support him. Is there anyway to make a balanced team then to make him work with it?

Obi said that Jirachi can work on Stall as a wish-passer. But I would take Blissey over him any day for that capacity, and from seeing Obi's team, I guess he would agree.

Jirachi is great for balanced teams. Paraflinch can cripple other pokes and enable a sweep.

I'll prrobably just go with Jirachi over Blissey anyways, and replace the Blissey in my current team for Skarmory. Unless someone can give me a good team for balanced team with jirachi, without movesets.
