Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Reflect
- Roar
- Substitute

My team's center. With Reflect and Sub, this is REALLY annoying to take out. I've seen HP Fly Swampert 3hko my sub with reflect up. EV help anyone?

as you can see, my strategy is to kill any one who is immune to spikes, then blow everything remaining into spikes with Arty and Skarm.

It's honestly not a bad team; in fact, it is pretty solid and can work. Taunt is not too great with Skarmory; Substitute might be better so that Magneton can't rain on your parade so easily.

With Articuno, I suggest a Rest/Sleep Talk/Ice Beam/Roar set since it lets it take status and stay a live longer, something that can make a huge, huge difference. However, the set you already have can work, so I suggest that you give both a shot and see which one works better for you.

See, its that Focus Punch that I am reluctant about. IMO it isn't reliable. TBH your Gengar looks good to me except that dang Focus Punch.

Porygon2 looks alright, but its the move Thunder Wave, I'm confused about, are you trying to go for paralysis, then since the other Pokemon is most likely slower use Whirlwind Spikes damage?

Blissey, looks okay except I don't like that Thunder Wave, if I were you then I would teach it Softboiled.

Swampert and Articuno look fine to me.

Overall I would say that this team is alright. thumbsup;

both of you have very valid points.

i will replace Thunderwave on Porygon2 for Toxic, for some residual damage, and replace t-wave on Blissey for Counter or Softboiled. i of course will replace taunt for sub on skarm.

im keeping Focus Punch on Gengar because with a switch to Blissey/Snorlax i can do a ton of damage. im not gonna use explosion because its actually 50 less damage (than SE Focus Punch) at the cost of my life. But its an option.

ill try the Rest Talk Arty asap.

thanks for rates, yo.

Actually, explosion halves the opponent's defense, so it is effectivly 500 bp. That being said, McGar is a little predictable, and something like hypnosis would probably work much better in the sub slot. In addition, you really lack a serious form of offense outside of spikes, and considering your only way of blocking spikes is through gengar, who loses to almost every spinner, the exception being Shadow ball/psychicless claydol. Using dusclops over gengar would definitly lose you alot of offense, but if you really plan on taking advantage of spikes, then you will probably find yourself needing dusclops more often than not. As judgement said, the stalking articuno is really much better if you plan on forcing spikes for more than a few turns. (also articuno doesn't get whirlwind in adv)

Cloyster is always an alternative spiker if Magneton proves to be bothersome. Sure, you lose one phazer, but atleast your strategy could be initiated by the successful set up of spikes. Most of Skarmory's defense is dispersed through your team mates, so loss of defense should not be too much of an issue if you were to replace Skarmory.

Be careful of Zapdos...none of your Pokemon could really take its T-bolts or begin to damage it. You got Porygon2 and Curselax as a potential Zapdos counter, but they, too, could be overwhelmed by its offense; They would be forced to be defensive rather than shooting down the bird. Your team could manage Zapdos, but it definitely has room for improvement..

question question, how does porygon2 exactly beat magneton? another question. should you go with curselax, if it has sb, so how do you exactly beat magneton, wouldn't in theory magneton will sweep your whole team? do you realize that your team has only one move thta doesn't take loading to even SE magneton? and that thing gets raped by hpgrass?

maybe stick with the blissey. but if its metal sounding...good luck!
