Star Wars Mafia

I did not foresee this. I think we all know what happens next. Shiv and Hip were the previous targets, and Kira is dead. That leaves Toothache and me as the major "big targets" that have yet to be targeted. I know this isn't necessarily in my self-interest, but that also makes the two of us the most likely candidates for lynch.

If we could learn a bit about who selected the targets, we might be able to know more about Hipmonlee. If he is targeted by the Empire, he's obviously not part of them, although if he were a bounty hunter then he could possibly have been targeted, so we just know he's not the boss or in the boss's group. At this point, I think it's safe to trust Hip for now (although I wouldn't PM him with my role!), just because he's the least likely to be in a mafia, seeing as how he was targeted.

At this point, I'm going to hold off voting until special roles have time to come forward.

... I think i got my target to vote. Someone wants Hip dead, and i've got a feeling i know who that is.

timw06 wanted Hip dead, until he even tried to lynch him, despite the fact that Kira had already revealed himself. If he had voted Kira out, i wouldn't even have to post my lynch.

So why did he want Hip dead? There are 3 possible reasons.

Reason 1: He is the real Luke Skywalker.

Objection: If he is the real Luke Skywalker, why didn't he just lynched Kira out first? Hip can wait until tomorrow.

Reason 2: He is just dumb.

Objection: He has a badge, among other things. He has played Mafia before, i believe. He also states that we shouldn't just bandwagon randomly, so why did he suddenly aim Hip? (Who has asked the inspector something on this thread, who has claimed Luke Skywalker)

Reason 3: He is a Mafia Member.

Objection: We won't know for sure.

But here are several things. He wanted Hip dead. The following night, Hip was aimed. I won't say that the BG protected Hip, or that he has night-time immunity, that is up to you guys to decide.

But he wanted Hip dead. That's evidence enough for me.

That's a good idea for a role next time. A character that gets to say one sentence after their death and that's it. If the mafia find out about him/her they'd want to get them lynched.

Are you honestly saying "good guy that has to recruit 3 out of a possible 7 other good guys (marked in some way but unsure what they are) to promote to another good role by using letters" is as standard as bodyguard, inspector and mafia?

If only you'd just ignored that comment or admitted you ripped him off I'd leave it alone but come the fuck on.

I am with Amelia for now to speed the game up. I do, however, want to know what timw06's defense on this is, but for now it's a good lead.

well after claiming no random bandwagons, i would think that he probably has some kind of good information that hipmonlee isn't actually luke. Then again, since he didn't tell us that he's luke (which I expect he would, to make his claim credible), he could be inspector and he inspected hipmonlee to make sure he was truthful in his claim. (again, he didn't claim this either)

From this stuff, I think that point #2 is probably right, he's either dumb inspector or dumb mafia. Probably mafia, since he wanted hip dead, and then hip almost died

I'm also pretty unsure about this myself... but without this, there's no way the game is going to advance, as everyone is just keeping quiet, and there's no established main Rebel yet.
If timw06 proves to be an Empire/Bounty Hunter, i think it's time we communicated with Hip.
