Status in RU

This is an article that shall explore status and it's inducers in the tier RU. Poison shall include Qwilfish, Sansalsh, and Drapion among others. Burn shall have Dusknoir, Poliwrath, Spiritomb, Qwilfish, and Quagsire among a few others. Sleep shall include Smeargle, Liligant, tangrowth, and Amoonguss among a few others. Paralysis shall include Qwilifish, Whimsicott, and Munchlax (don't worry this article will not praise this thing in anyway shape or form), among others.

P.S. Not sure if me replying to my own post (the moustache one) has caused confusion that it's been replied to by the smog community, but it hasn't. I'm sorry if this P.S. was inappropriate but I didn't want to bother anyone by PMing them since I realized I annoyed Birkal when I did that last.

uhhh I question your actual knowledge of the metagame seeing as how you're missing the main inducers of each status in your list of examples.

Poison would need Cryogonal and Entei, probably the two most common users of Toxic besides Sandslash (who is a terrible Pokemon in today's meta). Qwilfish and Drapion rarely if ever use Toxic Spikes in today's metagame considering the popularity of the two, Nidoqueen, Uxie, Moltres, Escavalier, and Rotom-C.

You're missing Rotom and Misdreavus from your list of burn users, two of the best users of Will-O-Wisp apart from Spiritomb. Poliwrath should be your only mention of passive burns from Scald; Qwilfish should never be running it anyway, and Quagsire is a terrible mon in the current meta.

Sleep looks good though it's missing Jynx.

Paralysis needs Uxie, the best user of Thunder Wave in the tier, as well as Slowking and Lanturn. Don't even mention Munchlax. I'd rather see Hariyama (Force Palm) or Druddigon (Glare) there if anything.

This is far from a complete list. Those were just some listed expamples hence the "among other". If this were to be approved i would add all those you listed and remove Qwilfish from the burn list. Munchlax won't have his pictre but i wil mention him as something not to use for paralysis.

I went and approved you to save Birkal the trouble, since I was approving someone else anyway. :P Anyway, approved! You should now have access to the Article Workshop forum under The Smog main forum. Go and read the What Are We Doing? sticky thread and post that you'll be working on this article, then get started as soon as you're ready. Remember:

1) Get your stuff done on time. If there's ever a situation that comes up, talk with The Smog Staff, and we'll make accommodations. The key here is communication; we need to hear from you if something is up that will prevent you from meeting the deadline. Please do try to get things done a week before deadline, but if things aren't possible we can always work it out~

2) Don't leak any of our stuff until the release happens. This includes art and any other information. If you ever want feedback on your work or have questions, you can join us in #thesmog on IRC (if you don't have IRC, you can PM me or another staffer on the forums and I'll give you a link).
