Steelix's niche lies in being a solid check to Toxtricity thanks to its typing while also having solid physical bulk to check other threats such as Doublade and Tsareena. However, it faces competition from Rhyperior and Galarian Stunfisk; the former has a higher Attack and its typing allows it to check Pokemon such as Darmanitan and Incineroar, while the latter has higher HP and Special Defense, making it an overall superior Toxtricity answer. Steelix is also vulnerable to entry hazard removers such as Rotom-W, Noivern, and Mantine, all of which can threaten it out and Defog away its Stealth Rock. Protect scouts Choice-locked Pokemon such as Pangoro, Gardevoir, and Flygon and allows Steelix to stall turns for Leftovers recovery. Heavy Slam is an alternate option to threaten Galarian Weezing and Sylveon, but it has less utility than Protect otherwise.

Clerics such as Sylveon and Umbreon are excellent partners for Steelix, as they can keep it healthy with Wish and Heal Bell support. The former also checks Fighting-types and appreciates Steelix checking Toxtricity, while the latter can check threatening special attackers such as Chandelure and Necrozma. Incineroar can check Reuniclus and Chandelure, both of which force Steelix out. Pangoro can also check these two threats, but must be wary around Chandelure. Water-types such as Milotic, Mantine, and Rotom-W are able to check Ground- and Fire-types such as Flygon, Darmanitan, and Incineroar that threaten Steelix out while appreciating Steelix dealing with Toxtricity and Heliolisk. Mantine can also handle Darmanitan for Steelix while being able to Defog away potential Spikes that would otherwise wear it down. Nasty Plot Celebi checks Water- and Ground-types like Milotic and non-Megahorn Rhyperior for Steelix while additionally being able to threaten Incineroar if its running Earth Power.

Steelix's niche lies in being a solid check to Toxtricity, while also having solid physical bulk and a decent typing to check other threats such as Doublade and non-Mystical Fire Sylveon. (the way you have this rn implies that non-fire sylveon is a physical attacker) However, it faces competition from Rhyperior and Galarian Stunfisk; the former has a higher Attack stat and better typing its typing allows it to check Pokemon such as Darmanitan and Incineroar (saying rhyp has a strictly better typing than lix is not rly true), while the latter has higher HP and Special Defense, making it an overrall overall superior Toxtricity answer. remove the extra space here Steelix is also vulnerable to Rotom-Wash, which can threaten it with a Hydro Pump and Defog away its Stealth Rock. i think you can expand this to hazard removers in general - noiv, mantine and weezing can all come in pretty safely on steelix and threaten it out/defog its hazards unless it has heavy slam in weezing's case Protect scouts Choice-locked Pokemon such as Pangoro, Gardevoir, and Flygon and allows Steelix to stall turns for Leftovers recovery. Heavy Slam is an alternate option to threaten Galarian Weezing and Sylveon, but has less utility than Protect otherwise.

Pangoro and Incineroar can check Reuniclus and Chandelure respectively, both of which would otherwise force Steelix out. Water-types such as Milotic and Rotom-Wash are able to check Ground- and Fire-types like Flygon, Darmanitan, Incineroar, (...) just give examples that threaten Steelix out, while appreciating Steelix dealing with Toxtricity and Heliolisk. Nasty Plot Celebi checks Water- and Ground-types like Milotic and non-Megahorn Rhyperior for Steelix, while additionally being able to threaten Fire-types Incineroar is the big one here because every other Fire-type in the tier gets smacked by Psychic at +2 or just kills you before you can do anything if it's running Earth Power. Due to Steelix’s main niche in being a check to Toxtricity, partners such as Mantine that Toxtricity can take advantage of are good options. they're not though, or at least not for this reason. if anything you should mention how mantine can handle stuff like darm and to a lesser extent panda/sirfetch'd for lix

Steelix's niche lies in being a solid check to Toxtricity, while also having solid physical bulk and a decent typing to check other threats such as Doublade and Tsareena. (its bulk helps it check those 2 but those aren't really the best for typing when their attacks are netural so maybe add something else its typing helps with more or say thats what lets it check tox + bulk helps with others) However, it faces competition from Rhyperior and Galarian Stunfisk; the former has a higher Attack stat and its typing allows it to check Pokemon such as Darmanitan and Incineroar, while the latter has higher HP and Special Defense, making it an overall superior Toxtricity answer. Steelix is also vulnerable to common forms of hazard removal such as Rotom-Wash, Noivern, and Mantine, all of which can threaten it out and Defog away its rocks (Stealth Rock). Protect scouts Choice-locked Pokemon such as Pangoro, Gardevoir, and Flygon and allows Steelix to stall turns for Leftovers recovery. Heavy Slam is an alternate option to threaten Galarian Weezing and Sylveon, but has less utility than Protect otherwise.

The former also checks Fighting-types and appreciates Steelix checking Toxtricity, while the latter can check threatening special attackers such as Chandelure and Necrozma. Pangoro and Incineroar can check Reuniclus and Chandelure, (AC) respectively, (only keep this if pangoro has a poor matchup against chandelure and incin against reuni, this isn't immediately obvious to me but i know nothing about this tier so) both of which would otherwise force Steelix out. (keep comma removal before while but don't implement this change otherwise)
