hi guys! long time lurker, first time poster... still kinda new to competitive battling too lol. i'd like to go ahead and say this team isn't truly meant for Shoddy or anything, just to own my friends with therefore some things might not be so standard :)

In Depth

SR Lead
490.png

**Cyndrus** Heatran @ Shucca Berry
-Naive-
6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Stealth Rock
Earth Power
Fire Blast
Explosion

proves to be a more effective lead than Nape could ever be (and lasts WAY longer). sets up SR, and will most likely run to back up my dragons another day (or explode on some threat i can't really deal with) or if he has the advantage he can attack with a powerful STAB'd Fire Blast or Earth Power (which we all know is for other Fires and such). also, if i predict a Fire attack coming at Scizor i can get a welcome free switch in and power boost.

Set Up & Pwn
dpmfa248.png

**Kydza** Tyranitar @ Leftovers/Life Orb?
-Adamant-
176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Dragon Dance
Crunch
Stone Edge
Aqua Tail

i love TTar! he gets the SandStorm going and hits HARD. Crunch handles Ghosts while Stone Edge can help vs a Gyara trying to set up, and Aqua Tail gives him an option against grounds who would otherwise have an easy time. i have an Adamant DD Larvitar i hatched back in '07 so i'm being lazy lol
(LO could give him the extra punch needed to score some nice dents even on NVE hits)

Spec. Tank
dpffa380.png

**Dremir** Latias @ Leftovers
-Timid-
148 HP / 108 SpA / 252 Spe
Calm Mind
Recover
Dragon Pulse
Surf

she can handle basically anything on the Spec. side of things after a CM or 2. Dragon Pulse + Surf gives some nice coverage while Recover helps her stay longer. Leftovers > Life Orb to null Sand damage. her and Scizor compliment each others weaknesses very nicely

The Speedy Dragon
dpmfsa330.png

**Ryde** Flygon @ Choice Scarf
-Adamant-
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
EQ
Outrage
Fire Punch
U-Turn

works in conjunction with Scizor to U-Turn the heck out of the opponent when there's no better option, to rack up SR + SandStorm damage, and/or if it's a Grass/Psychic ^_^. EQ + Outrage provides an amazing combo for STABs and with Fire Punch is unresisted!

Revenge!
dpmfa212.png

**Sevvyr** Scizor @ Choice Band
-Adamant-
200 HP/ 252 Atk / 56 SpDef
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Superpower
Pursuit

we all know how this works :P. my late game clean up and man is he good at it. Bullet Punch is just amazing on this guy and handles nearly anything that doesn't resist it, U-Turn to scout (with the help of Latias and flygon i can handle quite a bit), Superpower hits other Steels, and Pursuit just stops Ghosts in their tracks

Gotta Love Bulky Ghosts
479-l.png

**Emion** Rotom-C @ Leftovers
-Timid-
252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spe
T-Bolt
Shadow Ball
Leaf Storm
Will-O-Wisp/Reflect?

WAY more bulky than Gengar can ever hope to be (in fact beats him 1v1 simply due to his bulk)! still has STAB Shadow Ball and T-Bolt (though it gains STAB too), but gets Leaf Storm to bring extra coverage to the team (say bye bye Pert :D). WoW is just to cripple random Phy. Sweepers

(would Reflect work better over WoW? i really can't decide between them... Reflect can give Latias a chance to set up even on Phy. things, but WoW helps on pretty much all Phy. Attackers)

well there's my team! :) i probably have some crazy weaknesses, but again i'm new and this won't be for true comptivite playing so keep that in mind. obviously i wanna keep Scizor, TTar, and Flygon/Latias. they are some of my fav pokes and i'd really like to see them pull together and totally pwn. thanks for all the help guys!

Hmm. Before I go into "depth" I'll say, "those are Pokemon I'd use too"

Anyway.
Your Infernape. The moves are well decided, though a slight suggestion of mine is how will he/she defend against the Ground and Psychic weakness, say your friend pulls out a Claydol (Ground/Psychic type) on you. Whoa time! Grass Knot (Infernapes can learn those) or U-turn (they can learn that too) would be that suggestion of mine in those dire cases, so if said Claydol used EQ while you had Infernape out, you could U-turn and perhaps switch out to Latias/Flygon/Gengar. On the great up sides, Infernape's really a speedster so when up against a type disadvantage (if you are ever) then hit them with the S.T.A.B. move.

All I could was critique the Infernape...because I was worried about it alittle. I'm so terrible at rating when I fail to rate my OWN team.

Also, it couldn't hurt to allow one of your Pokemon to have the Quick Claw held, ne? Even if it's an occassional "first-turn" item, it's quite useful, and I'd consider it for Scizor personally.

You've handled many of the type weakness/advantages well:
Scizor can fight off Latias' dark weakness
Flygon and Latias can take care of their Dragon weakness
Infernape and Tyranitar deal with the Ice and Rock/Flying types
Gengar rids of the Ghost and Psychic types

Well balanced, I'll add. And another idea hit my mind too. Explosion doesn't affect Ghost types (that was a slap in the face XD) and if you need to use it, if you're in a double battle, suggestion to use Scizor/Tyranitar to blockade that damage dealt, so there's a chance of survival~

Besides all that, I wish you the best of luck against your friend(s). Don't forget about berries than weaken super-effective advantages too. Be careful if your friend sends out a Rotom on you. Those things are speedsters as well, and Gengar might be in trouble. If that happens, your best bet is Scizor (Ghost < Steel) and Tyranitar.

Hope this helped, even if a little. ^^

Woah there kiddo. You have a HUGE Dragon Dancing Salamence weakness. This thing can knockout yuor whole team. It comes in on Infernape, gets up a Dragon Dance, and you lose.

To fix this, I suggest changing your Flygon set to a Revenge scarfer. This will instantly correct the problem. Oh, and I suggest Hidden Power Ice on Gengar. Sorry gtg, just wanted to get in a quick rate.'

Man, how'd you not noice that?!?!

he doesn't necessarily have a weakness, since he has a lead ape, who is dead within the first 3 turns usually. Salamence can barely switch in on the remaining 5 Pokemon, I wouldn't just scarf Gengar or Flygon and consider it a check.

if you can get up rocks, trigger a sandstorm, and lock Salamence into Outrage or just let someone die, even CBScizor can become a check (~58-70% damage with Bullet Punch kills after 1 SR, LO, SS), but I prefer scarfing Flygon.

Am I the first to notice you have 252 in Def rather than Atk on scizor? Must be a typo. I agree with scarfgon as it can work really well with Scizor for early scouting. It also lets you "revenge" kill some poke( unless your trapping the opponent I don't feel its an actual revenge killer.) Change Scizor's EV spread to 200 HP/ 252 Atk/ 56 SDef as it will let him trap Lati without having to worry too much about being taken down by surf. Without some of theses changes enemy Scizor can be troublesome as Infernape is usually gone early, Ttar and Gengar are taken out by bullet punch and Flygon can't switch into U-Turn( witch dents Lati) or Bullet Punch without loosing a chunk( KOed by Bullet Punch sometimes) and your own scizor can't do much.

thanks for all the quick responses! (btw the Scizor EVs are a typo)

yea, i originally had Flygon Scarfed for my team to have an underlying U-Turn theme (U-Turning Scizor + Flygon... which cover each others weaknesses btw) and i'll go back to that. obviously Mence alone is a big enough threat to make this change

i'll change Scizors EVs. after all, Pursuits' purpose is to catch Ghosts/Psychics off guard and take em out in 1 or 2 turns

honestly Gengar and Infernape were just for random type coverage: Nape was added mainly for SR and Gengar for Waters and blocking Rapid Spin. both are completely replacable, but i'd like to keep SR on the team if at all possible :)... the main core of this team is TTar to bring out the SandStorm while Scizor + Latias/Flygon to cover each others weaknesses while still getting great coverage. beyond that i really didn't have any ideas (like i said, i'm kinda new at this)

but again remember: this isn't going against people who competitively battle, so if something that may threaten me requires AMAZING prediction and skill to use my friends probably won't have any knowledge of it XD. just something to bare in mind

EDIT: also, i'd like to throw out there that the entire idea for this team was 1st based on using fav pokes. Flygon (i love how the Shiny version looks lol) and Scizor (one of my fav 2nd Gens) first came to mind, thus introducing the U-Turn strategy, followed by Latias (fav 3rd Gen legendary) who provides some nice Spec. bulk and covers Waters, and finally TTar (just pwns and looks kickass) who brings SandStorm to the table, along with some more Phy. Bulk. after that i was just attempting to fit SR on the team lol >.<

did some theorymon and a little testing (don't really have much time atm) and found some things i'd like to fix... so here's some updates:

team changes:

- Tran > Nape since he's more useful (and lasts more than 2-4 turns -_-) and gives another Dragon Res.
- Rotom-C > Gengar for bulk
- Adamant TTar cuz i'm lazy lol
- nicknames! :D

there's a huge chance i can't get on for the rest of the night (gotta take care of a few things) and i'd like some more opinions on the team so.... 22 Hour Bump :)

>.> there's no way this team is absolutely perfect... or at least i'm 98% sure it's not

seriously, no more ideas or opinions? come on guys, i'd like some more input before completing the team in-game please ^_^

EDIT: if no replys this is most likely my last bump as i don't think the mods will like 3+ bumps (or my 2 even) and 5 posts in a row...

i'm considering Life Orb on TTar. though i do like the bulk, having a nice Set Up Poke with LO (ex: SD Luke and Scizor ;D) can really turn a lose into a victory if you play your cards right though they're only good for 10 or less attacks

and i need help on WoW vs Reflect on Rotom-C. i still can't decide >.<. both have their uses so i'd like if someone with more Rotom-A experience than me would mind to comment on this

also, i was wondering if it would benefit the team any by changing TTar into a Bander and going with SD Scizor? it takes away my U-Turn support however, but this is just a random thought that popped into my head that could possibly aid the team lol

over all i enjoy the team (mainly due to 2/3rds are favs :3) and am very excited about making it in game (only Latias is done, while TTar is nearly finished)
