This is a discussion thread for all things Stunfisk-related. Some ideas for discussion topics are:

• What sets do you like to run / have you tested out on Stunfisk?
• What teams do you like to run Stunfisk on, and with what partners?
• What do you use to check Stunfisk?
• What effect does Stunfisk have on the meta, in your opinion? (avoid saying "it has a good/bad effect" please)

Don't feel the need to address all of these if you post here—in fact, I'd kind of rather you not, just let discussion flow naturally. These are just ideas. Happy posting!

For start, here is set I have been using:

Stunfisk @ Cheri Berry
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Discharge
- Protect

It has pretty good coverage with surprise scald. Cheri berry is there in case someone uses Soak + Gastro Acid / Worry Seed combo wombo in order to paralyze this super fast behemoth.

• Thunderbolt/discharge/Surf/toxic
• Earth power
• Sandstorm
• Pain split/protect

This is a pretty standard set. the attacking moves are for type coverage, sandstorm is there to activate his ability and help stall out a bit before attacking. The idea with this is to take a bit of damage, and use pain split to cut your opponent's health, while having sand and possible poison to wear them down. once you feel safe, and recover more health, you can go for an attack and finish them off. This helps make up for his mediocre attacking stats.

Item: Leftovers
Ability: Static/Sand-veil(If for some reason you are using him in the sand)
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 S.Attack, 128 Defense, 128 S.Defense

• Discharge
• Mud-bomb
• Scald
• Sludge-bomb

This is a Stunfisk set where I have, instead of their more powerful counter parts, given him moves with a 30% chance of status. Why? Because Stunfisk is already one of most ridicules and funny looking Pokemon ever, but having him mess up other Pokemon with status moves is even funnier (if only he had Serene grace XD). First we have Discharge which gets STAB and 30% Paralyze chance. Mud-bomb is also STAB and has a 30% chance of lowering Accuracy. Scald is coverage and has 30% Burn chance. Sludge-bomb covers Grass Types and has a 30% Poison chance. This is one of those Hax Pokemon that may not anger your opponent (unless it is competitive) so much as make they laugh, it is a great Pokemon for having a good time.

Note: If you do not like burning you opponent as much as lowering their accuracy you could go with Muddy-water instead of Scald.
