Stunt Stall

Good I think so too. I think its fast enough to outspeed Celebi though.

Edit:
I have narrowed threats to the following:
Xatu failing to reflect hazards against opposing stall
(most commonly seen against rain tentacruel with scald)

Taunt + WilloWisp (Scald for Jellicent and Ice Beam for Mew)

My original approach has been to utilize a poison type and ignore reflection of toxic spikes.
Although Roserade seemed to have fit the bill quite nicely, it is just not up to par with many of the metagame threats.

well if you want, you could run light screen on xatu over toxic- obviously it has disadvantages and advantages but it definitely helps against tentacruel

(23:07:57) *** Your rank in Standard OU is 3/15462 [1524 points / 59 battles]!

Pretty sure you got there with Baton Pass lol...

Anywho, this has a massive weakness Mew and the best you can do is smash it a with a powerful outrage / X-scissor. If either of those 2 Pokemon are dead you get a clean 6-0ed. Mew is a nightmare if it manages to get a free switch in Also gonna recommend shed shell on Skarm since Zone + Haxorus hurts this team badly.

Oh and I did mention Flame Shift Cresselia tears this team a new asshole?

The first comment was an offensive and uninformed accusation; I have never used baton pass on this alt.

The other two are facts which I've identified previously and are looking forward to fixing. It seems as though I am very weak to the status called BURN, since my team relies on the usage of band pokemon to break defensive cores. I'm glad you have recognized the problem; but as a rater of this team, how would you approach such an enigma?

Magnezone+ Haxorus , or any offensive threat for that matter, has never given me any trouble. On a mispredict, Skarmory will find itself facing Magnezone. This is nothing to be worried about, because Skarmory can still set a layer of Spikes before it is 2HKO'd. Chansey can put out a layer of Stealth Rock at this time to inflict damage ahead of times on future threats.

Haxorus is a powerhouse, but it can definitely be worked around.
Usually I will end up sacrificing my Xatu in this matchup, but it is well worth the hassle.

648 Atk vs 177 Def & 692 HP (120 Base Power): 472 - 556 (68.21% - 80.35%)
Band Haxorus vs Chansey
(Chansey can paralyze it in return)

Locked into Outrage, it is often that I find myself revenging with Terrakion.

Dragon Dance Haxorus finds itself unable to 2HKO Quagsire after a Stockpile.
432 Atk vs 292 Def & 394 HP (120 Base Power): 192 - 226 (48.73% - 57.36%)

And if Haxorus is weakened by either hazards or Seismic Toss or Earthquake,
Dragonite can complete the job with an Extremespeed
604 Atk vs 216 Def & 293 HP (80 Base Power): 160 - 189 (54.61% - 64.51%)

To the suggestion of Shed Shell on Skarmory: it loses its stalling potential, with Brave Bird becoming cumbersome and Roost being easier to out PP stall. U-turn Volt Switch definitely becomes more threatening and Close Combats from various fighting types can put Skarmory at a point where it cannot switch in any longer.

I think I narrowed the problem to any burn spreading pokemon which Chansey and Xatu cannot handle in conjunction. Hopefully that helps any potential raters ;_;

You find my post offensive? I find your assumption that stall is "full out stall is impposible to pull off" or that you "revolutionized stall" equally as offensive. Most of top 10 teams on the ladderboard are weatherless stall teams (IR, Sc etc) Also, I do have it on good authority that you've used Baton Pass at least once or twice (one that I managed to spectate even) but enough about that, this isn't a trial.

Drag + Mag not being a threat, i think you're gravely underestimating just how important the removal of Skarm is. The simple fact that you might sacrifice one of your Pokemon (Xatu who holds this team together against stall teams supposedly, Chansey the one thing keeping you from being overrun from Special Attackers etc) is a big deal. Shed Shell would go along way towards shutting this strategy down because you can go to Chansey on the zone switch and double switch into Skarm on Haxorus switch effectively hard walling this combination. Also, using Adamant may grant you several OHKOes on offensive Pokemon but you effectively lose the ability to counter CBTerrakion who runs over this team. It can actually 2HKO Skarmory with Stealth Rock damage

(49.7% - 58.7%) it 2HKOes Quagsire (59.4% - 70.1%) and is just pain in general. Literally once Xatu is gone it can run over your team. Therefore using Jolly Terra over Adamant would be ideal.

Also as an aside calling this team tall team is a misnomer considering you threw in 2 CB users. I'd sooner call it semi stall although that may be me just nitpicking.

Effrontery! Yet again, I have never used baton pass at all on his alt. Only on stunt DW. I will implement the shed shell to see what happens.

I still need help with this ridiculous burn problem, exacerbated by Rain (Scald) and Taunt (mew + Jellicent) . Ideas ? ._>
Edit: Sun + Lava Plume too, though to a lesser extent

Roserade%28P%29Sprite.png
@Life Orb

-Rest
-Sludge Bomb
-Leaf Storm
-Sleep Powder

maybe????

edit: it worked :) cruel can set up tspikes all it wants now, sludge bomb 2hkos the defensive mews which give this team trouble, and jellicent gets leaf storm'd.
I might want to change up the set, but Life Orb scores OHKO on max HP tar.

Edit: I miss terrakion... Sandstorm matchup and Sun matchup have definitely gotten harder without Terrakion, since I have no definite switchin to Tyranitar and Volcarona damages my team quite horribly. I think I'll keep the team the same until I can get a more solid replacement.

Hey this looks like a solid start to a stall team. Some aspiring team raters and I looked at this team in depth, and we came up with a number of pokemon that give this team a significant amount of trouble.

list here

As you can see, the list contains staples of offense, defense, weather, balance, etc. This is the BW metagame, not everything can be covered, but we can at least try! Lots of these pokemon could be outsped by Terrakion if it were jolly, so change it to Jolly. Also put shed shell on skarm because of the magenzone weakness. To fix the tspikes issue, you could use starmie over xatu (lets face it, xatu isn't coming in on many users of toxic spikes). This also helps with taunt + wow stall breakers and sun-boosted attackers. PKGaming noted earlier that you're 6-0ed by flame shift cresselia; Starmie deals with that too.

You still have a number of issues such as calm mind espeon, calm mind reuniclus, and pursuit tyranitar, but I can't figure out how to get a scizor onto your team. Good luck with this team, its a promising start.

Thank you! it looks like a very good list of what I have trouble with.
Choice Band Dragonite is dealt with between Skarmory and Quagsire.

Choice Band Terrakion is troublesome, and is sort of dealt with between Quagsire and Xatu.

**taunt jellicent + mew is trouble. tentacruel is horrid.
**Any choice waterfall in the rain gives me trouble, whether Gyarados or Azumarill as listed.

Somehow, Magnezone has never thwarted me from a win out of so many matches I've played. Though in theory it is a strong threat.

CM Reuniclus is out pp stalled by Quagsire, especially the Psyshock variants. TR variants find themselves walled by Chansey, even with Psyshock.

Pain split gengar I usually pp stall with Chansey.

LO Mamoswine is checked by Skarmory and Quagsire, and revenged by Terrakion. I find it difficult to reflect Stealth Rocks though.

For gyarados, I'm only weak to it in the rain. Quagsire can handle it otherwise with Scald.

CM Espeon is definitely a threat. I have Chansey Seismic Toss it to low health and go for a Thunder Wave to predict baton pass. If it has psyshock, it is walled by Quagsire. If chansey somehow dies to it, Dragonite can always revenge.

Infernape has trouble switching in frequently due to hazards, but I check most variants with Dragonite + Quagsire. The mixed variants fail to break through Dnites multiscale and cannot OHKO Chansey, while other variants like Band are definitely prediction headaches, often uturning on my Dragonite /Xatu/ Quagsire. This can be limited with STealth rock and spikes.

Mixed Salamence is walled by Chansey, with Brick break dealing only 40%. DD Salamence is walled by Quagsire.

Volcarona is definitely countered by Terrakion. If the misfortune comes that my Terrak is trapped by Dugtrio, Chansey/Dragonite step up to check it.

Scarf Darmanitan fails to 2hko Quagsire, though Band would give me trouble. Dragonite/Terrakion can definitely serve as revengers and Stealth Rock is a precaution.

Tspikes + Nplot celebi really isn't an issue since my celebi check is Dragonite.
***TSpikes + CM Jirachi is a nightmare.
Rest Offensive Vape is OHKO'd by Terrakion, though it always has the option of switching out.

Machamp is hard because Xatu would be a great counter if confusion was not factored in. I would still switch in and attempt to reflect + Toxic. Machamp is easy to revenge though.

***Mienshao is very threatening.
It almost 2HKO's Skarmory (45.81% - 53.89%), so Skarmory cannot be a true counter unless it is at full health. I leave walling Mienshao to Xatu, who narrowly avoids a 2HKO from HP Ice as well. However, after many Life Orb uses, Mienshao will be forced to switchout. Against teams with it, I usually stall out Mienshao till the end, and I kill it with an Espeed from Dnite or an EQ from Quagsire.

Sub Seed Abomasnow- A nuisance.
Offensive Deo-S- Walled by Chansey, though it gets Stealth Rocks up.
Cosmic Power Sigilyph- I really want to put this in the burn category. Like Cresselia, it damages my team by giving everyone burns. Usually when the opponent stalls it to the last poke, Terrakion can 2HKO it even when burned.

- Victini (Sun) - Fails to 2hko Quagsire, Dragonite is a counter. - Recover Starmie - Well, it gets the spin, thats for sure.
-Pursuit Tyranitar - Reflect on Xatu makes sure that Band Crunch does about 70% and pursuit 35%. This means that I now know what set the opponent has and I can predict with Switching into Terrakion, or staying in to toxic. Against Chansey, a band pursuit does around 38-39% if I remember correctly.

-----------------------

Starmie over Xatu is a great suggestion, but do you have a set which can spin on Jellicent?
edit: tried jolly on terrakion with no success. not enough power to score a lot of 2hkos which I need.
edit2: tried reuniclus over xatu with extreme success.
