[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Substitute gives Jynx many setup opportunities, the ability to avoid Sucker Punch, and a shield from status. Nasty Plot gives Jynx significantly more power and lets it deal huge amounts of damage; for example, it can OHKO defensive Rhydon at +2. Lovely Kiss incapacitates foes, allowing Jynx to set up either Substitute or Nasty Plot and attempt to sweep. Psyshock is a strong STAB move that hits Ice-resistant Pokemon such as Thick Fat Hariyama and Magmortar. Ice Beam is the most reliable move on this set, though, as it has great neutral coverage.

Set Details
========

Maximizing Speed EVs is the best choice for Jynx due to its poor bulk and decent Speed tier, allowing it to be as fast as possible. This lets Jynx Speed tie with opposing Speed base 95s, such as Primeape, opposing Jynx, and Sawsbuck. A Timid nature is used to outspeed 90 Base Speed like Lilligant, Kangaskhan, and Rotom. Maximum Special Attack investment lets Jynx hit extremely hard. Dry Skin is the only viable ability for Jynx, as it allows it to switch safely into Water-type moves and recover some HP back. This set appreciates Leftovers recovery to alleviate the HP loss from Substitute, allowing Jynx to set it up more than four times in a single game.

Usage Tips
========
Jynx should set up Substitute against Pokemon that might use Thunder Wave, Sleep Powder, or Toxic such as Musharna, Vivillon, and Gastrodon or so that it can start setting up Nasty Plot or simply throw out an attack. Jynx can attempt to switch into Water-type attacks such as Samurott's Waterfall and Ludicolo's Scald and either put the attacker to sleep or KO it. It should watch out while switching into some of them, such as Samurott, Kabutops, and Barbaracle, due to their coverage moves dealing heavy damage. Jynx takes huge amounts of damage from all forms of priority besides Aqua Jet; therefore, it should only stay in versus priority users such as Hariyama and Hitmonchan if it is safely behind a Substitute and can KO them with Psyshock. Jynx shouldn't use Substitute while Pokemon that resist Ice such as Piloswine, Thick Fat Hariyama, and Magmortar are around if it's not using Psyshock, as it gets easily walled by those. Pokemon with sound-based moves such as Swellow, Pyroar, and Aurorus can cause many issues, since their moves bypass Substitute and the former two also outspeed Jynx, so make sure not to let it in against them. Defog Skuntank can also be a threat to Jynx, as it can not only absorb Toxic Spikes, which are usually used in conjunction with Jynx, but also easily stop its sweep attempt.

Team Options
========
Pokemon that can switch into priority users such as Hitmonchan and Hariyama are very useful. Garbodor is a solid choice, as it can sponge hits from these Fighting-types as well as set up Toxic Spikes to help Jynx sweep more easily. It's also an answer to some of Jynx's checks, such as Mega Audino and Lanturn. Pokemon that can switch into Pyroar and Swellow, such as Regirock, make for great partners, as sound-based moves revenge kill Jynx even when it's behind a Substitute. Additionally, having a teammate that KOes faster Pokemon such as Archeops, Tauros, Swellow, and Charizard is helpful. Don't forget that Jynx works very well against stall teams and defensive teams in general, so the support of anti-offense Pokemon such as Floatzel and Swellow is highly appreciated. Hazard control is important because Substitute, Stealth Rock, and Spikes damage racks up quickly for Jynx; therefore, Hitmonchan is a good partner, and it deals with Dark-type Pokemon such as Liepard, Skuntank, and Shiftry. Water-type Pokemon such as Samurott, Kabutops, and Floatzel are great partners, as they can wear done Fire-type Pokemon comfortably and help Jynx sweep. Toxic Spikes support pairs well if Jynx is running Psyshock so that it doesn't conflict with Lovely Kiss, and it's also useful for wearing down bulky targets and for stalling out with repeated Substitutes.

Set

Put 8 EVs in HP; putting only 4 makes the HP number divisible by four, which means Jynx can set up only 3 Subs rather than 4

Moves

The 3 main reasons to use Sub are 1) to avoid status, 2) to protect Jynx from priority/revenge killing (which is a huge problem for Jynx!), and 3) to ease prediction (less important but still worth mentioning). Be sure to cover all of these, but give special attention to point #2 because that's most important

What OHKOes does Jynx get after an NP boost? Give examples

Put more emphasis on how much players will miss not having Psyshock; Jynx without Psyshock is walled into oblivion by mons like Hariyama and Magmortar that it has little trouble getting past if it has Psyshock

Set Details

A Timid nature is used to avoid speed ties against other 95 Spe base stat Pokemon, and its SpA doesn't need investment since it's good enough after one Nasty Plot.
Couple of things here: first, give more concrete examples than avoiding speed ties (which isn't even the case bc every base 95 except Xatu virtually always runs +Spe as well); what are some mons that Jynx outspeeds with Timid that it doesn't with Modest (base 90s, etc.)? Second, I see what you mean here, but to say that its SpA doesn't need investment is misleading bc it does have investment. Reword it to say that it doesn't need "more" investment because Jynx can boost so quickly

Mention specifically that Leftovers alleviates the recoil from Substitute and can potentially let Jynx set up more than 4 in a game

Usage Tips

Mention that Jynx shouldn't even bother Subbing until sturdy Ice Beam resists like Piloswine and the aforementioned Magmortar and Hariyama have been eliminated

Make a point to be wary of Pokemon that can circumvent Subs - while NU doesn't have any good Infiltrator users, there are a number of sound-based attackers (Pyroar, Aurorus, Swellow,), and they all happen to give Jynx a good degree of trouble

Team Options

Garbodor is a good teammate; you touch on the fact that T-Spikes help out, but be sure to really highlight the potency of T-Spikes paired with a Sub user, because opponents have to waste so many extra turns against Sub users, and poison damage racking up in the meantime is a massive pain

Additionally, having something that kills faster threats is always great.
This point is way too unspecific. List some mons that threaten Jynx with their Speed and some mons that can deal with them by name

This set excels against fat teams, so more anti-offense mons like Swellow and Floatzel that struggle against these kinds of builds make for good partners

Hazard control is pretty key with this set especially, because hazard damage + Sub recoil racks up remarkably quickly, and Hitmonchan is a decent partner both offensively and defensively anyway because it deals with Dark-types and does a good job of wearing down more SpDef mons like Mantine and Magmortar, especially if it's AV

Those are a couple things you can add to TO, but overall I think you can flesh this section out more yourself as well since it's so shallow atm.

I would mention Samurott as a teammate, it puts pressure on opposing Fire-types and can pick off weakened Charizard and Pyroar with Aqua Jet.

When mentioning Garbodor as a teammate, also mention its ability to set down Toxic Spikes (as well as Spikes), as a lot of checks to this Jynx set (Mega Audino, Assault Vest Lanturn, etc.) are highly vulnerable to hazard stacking.

You may also want to mention teammates that bait in Water-type attacks, such as Rhydon, Steelix, Charizard (watch for compounding rocks weakness), and the like, as Jynx relies heavily on Dry Skin to find setup opportunities.

Samurott still isn't mentioned, all there is is a mention that Jynx can switch into it. I mentioned Samurott as a teammate, not as a mon that Jynx can switch into

Jynx should not switch into Samurott generally, as it frequently carries Megahorn which will always OHKO.

You need to take 4 EVs out of SpA now :P

I want you to whip out your calculator and actually name a couple Pokemon that are OHKOed by Jynx after a Nasty Plot boost to give an idea of its power.

Same idea with the Speed part; sorry if I was unclear, but I'd rather have you specifically name some mons it outspeeds (so say, "to outspeed Pokemon such as Kangaskhan, Lilligant, and Rotom") rather than just say "to outspeed base 90s" since that's pretty intuitive.

After that QC 1/3

Set Comments:
  • Give examples of the priority users that sub helps with, such as Shiftry and Skuntanks Sucker Punch as well as Chans Mach Punch
  • Mention that Lovely Kiss renders foes useless and helps Jynx win 50/50s with Sucker Punch users.
Set Details:
  • Max speed also lets Jynx tie with opposing base 95's such as Primeape, Jynx, and Sawsbuck.
  • Mention that Dry Skin grants Jynx immunity to priority Aqua Jets from the likes of Samurott and Kabutops
Usage Tips:
  • Give examples of Pokemon that might try to status Jynx, for example Toxic Gastrodon, Mantine, Smeargle, Vivillon, and Thunder Wave Musharna.
While NU doesn't have any viable Infiltrator Pokemon, Pokemon with sound-based moves such as Swellow, Pyroar and Aurorus can cause many issues.
  • Note that Swellow and Pyroar also outspeed Jynx.
Jynx doesn't like any priority except for Aqua Jet, so avoid letting into Pokemon such as Hariyama and Hitmonchan.
  • Reword this. "Jynx takes huge amounts of damage from all forms of priority besides Aqua Jet, therefore it should only stay in versus Pokemon such as Hariyama and Hitmonchan if it is safely behind a substitute and can KO them with Psyshock."
Team Options:
Additionally, having something that kills faster and sound-based threats such as Swellow is always great.

  • Add Pyroar to this and add examples such as Scarf Primeape. Also add in Pokemon that can "Switch into" these threats, as Swellow is only outsped by scarfers and the irrelevant electrode. Regirock stands out, as it can handle Skuntank, set up rocks, and lure in Water-types while switching into the former two.
Samurott is a great partner as it can help wearing down Fire-typing Pokemon such as Pyroar and Charizard on switch-ins or even KO them when they're weakened.
  • Change this to Water-types and add Kabutops and Floatzel.

Content looks decent but I want you to have a look at spelling / grammar before giving this a quality check, your sentence structure makes it kind of hard to read and it's not really formal enough for an analysis (see "it also takes priorities which really really annoy Jynx"). While GP do general error checking, it's important that the article writer has a good fundamental understanding of spelling/grammar so they don't have to essentially rewrite the analysis. Check out this thread and maybe PM a member of the GP team if you're unsure about anything; uploaded analyses generally have good grammar too so make sure to look at those for examples of good sentence structure and tone. There also really shouldn't be any spelling mistakes; anything GP picks up on this front is usually typos.

I'm going to be away for the rest of the weekend but I'll check this when I get back unless someone else gets to it beforehand.

Emphasize that Jynx should watch out when switching into Water-types due to their coverage moves doing heavy damage (especially Samurott / Kabutops / Barbaracle etc which all OHKO easily). Clarify that moves like Swellow's Boomburst are dangerous because they bypass Substitute and can KO Jynx without breaking it, and also clarify that Toxic Spikes pairs well with the Psyshock set because then it doesn't conflict with Lovely Kiss as much, and it's useful for wearing down bulky targets / stalling foes out with repeated Substitutes. You could also mention Skuntank as a Defog user that has good synergy with Jynx and also absorbs Toxic Spikes, which can stop Jynx's sweep attempt.

The grammar's much better than it was before so I'm happy for this to go ahead.

========
Jynx should set up Substitute against Pokemon that might use Thunder Wave, Sleep Powder, or Toxic such as Musharna, Vivillon, and Gastrodon or so that it can start setting up Nasty Plot or simply throw out an attack. Jynx can attempt to switch into Water-type attacks such as Samurott's Waterfall and Ludicolo's Scald and either put the attacker to sleep or KO them. it. Jynx shouldn't use Substitute while Pokemon that resist Ice Ice-type resists such as Piloswine, Thick Fat Hariyama, and Magmortar are around if it's not using Psyshock, as it gets easily walled by those those. otherwise. Pokemon with sound-based moves such as Swellow, Pyroar, and Aurorus can cause many issues, since their moves bypass Substitute and the former two also outspeed Jynx, the former two outspeed Jynx, so make sure not to let it in against those threats. Moves like Swellow's Boomburst and Pyroar's Hyper Voice can KO Jynx without having to break the Substitute first, so be wary of them. Defog Skuntank can also be a threat to Jynx, as it can not only absorb Toxic Spikes Spikes, which are usually used in conjunction with Jynx, (otherwise it makes no sense, since jynx is not a tspikes setter ) but also easily stop its sweep attempt.

Team Options
========
Pokemon that can switch into priority users such as Hitmonchan and Hariyama are very useful. Garbodor is a solid choice, as it can sponge hits from these Fighting-types as well as set up Toxic Spikes to help Jynx sweep more easily. It's also an answer to some of Jynx's checks checks, such as Mega Audino and Lanturn. Pokemon that can switch into Pyroar and Swellow, such as Regirock, make for great partners, as sound-based moves revenge kill Jynx even when it's behind a Substitute. Additionally, having something a teammate that KOes faster Pokemon such as Archeops, Tauros, Swellow, and Charizard is helpful. Don't forget that this Pokemon Jynx works very well against stall teams and defensive teams in general, so the support of anti-offense Pokemon such as Floatzel and Swellow is highly appreciated. Hazard control is important because Substitute, Stealth Rock, and Spikes damage racks up quickly for Jynx; therefore, Hitmonchan is a good partner. partner, and it It also deals with Dark-type Pokemon such as Liepard, Skuntank, and Shiftry.
