Successful Teams

Post your most Successful teams here. This thread is going to be used to show some of the more successful team builds around. Don't just post random junk around here. Post your team and put an explanation to show newbies how a team should be built try to answer WHY its successful if you can't take the time to post according these rules don't waste your time posting here, I hope my fellow smogoners find this useful.Anyway without further adieu here's my team
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Crobat (♂) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 166 HP/92 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Hypnosis
- U-turn
- Roost

a vgg lead.It switches into CBross Megahorns and CC's with ease and Sleeps,s the incoming Pokemon Onoes I can't counter the Newcomer
Then I'm gonna MAK A U-TURN
---
Dragonite (♂) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 116 HP/148 Atk/44 Spd/200 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Draco Meteor
- Roost
- Focus Punch
- Fire Blast

God this thing is beastly. swithces in on Skarm's spikes and proceeds to rape the shit of blissey better than mix mence and teaching people a lesson that draggy should not be underestimated. When skarms see this thing they switch to something like Blissey predicting Fire Blast but then get owned by a HARD HITTING focus punch coming off 341 Atk don't tell me to up its speed to hit T_tar because with the SS Sp.Def increase its not gonna take much from DM

---
Skarmory (♂) @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/96 Atk/156 Def/4 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost

Lol teaches Gyara a lesson
---
Starmie @ Expert Belt
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 180 HP/112 Def/216 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover

Awesome thing. That Expert Belt stops me from having to waste EVs on upping Sp.Atk instead I can Focus completely on my Defensive stats
Wonder if I should use Ice Beam>Surf but then again there have been a lot circumstances when I wish I had Surf like against NPApe

---
Regice @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 212 HP/100 SAtk/196 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Psych Up/Sleep Talk

Quite the gg.Looks cooler than Blissey, comes with a pretty high Sp.Atk,and can either absorb sleep or tell Raikou,"ALL YOUR CALM MINDS ARE BELONG TO US"
---
Sceptile (♂) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 44 Atk/252 Spd/212 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Energy Ball
- Focus Punch
- Dragon Pulse
- Leaf Storm

Lol,I don't let Sp.Walls even switch into this thing. One predicted FP and their running away weakened enough for me to own them on the next switch in. Leaf Storm is Overkill. Almost as powerfull as Salamence except it has the luxury of Fucus Punch.Energy Ball is used just like on salamence. And Dragon Pulse because i didn't waste hours breeding for an HP,it still OHKO-2HKO's most Dragon so their no problems really
---

This team is absolutely awesome it combines being ingame, with being awesome, and being my favorites all into 1.
The only thing that irks me with this team is that Electivire
with the "Its Super Effective Set" can totally sweep me unless I do some mad predicting :(
It mainly relies on using the surprise of less used okemon to lower the guard of the opponent

Crobat can't have hypnosis and brave bird at the same time. Not legally, anyway. Shoddy is... Shoddy.

Donphan (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 204 HP/204 Def/100 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin

Donphan leading, what blasphemy...right? Well I have often gotten laughs from my fellow shoddiers only to be surprised at how well I can play this little elephant guy. Also ice shard is not present due to the fact of this Phan being almost pure utility.
---
Dusknoir (♂) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/160 Atk/60 Def/38 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Shadow Sneak
- Pain Split
- Thunderpunch

I've laughed at so many heatrans and such, as they stay in on this guy only to be raped by a surprise EQ hehe. Tpunch makes him a decent Gyra counter too.
---
Blissey (♀) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Def/252 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam/Flamethrower
- Aromatherapy/Protect

I'm in constant debate about which 4th move to use but Aroma proves more useful as I can usually predict explosions or FPs anyway. I hate Blissey but at least I try to use a somewhat original one.
---
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Psychic
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam

My premier Special attacker and I've always loved this thing anyway...it works nuff said. Grass Knot is chosen over Tbolt to laugh in the faces of all those Electrivires that switch in.
---
Kangaskhan (♀) @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 212 HP/252 Atk/44 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Return
- Focus Punch

No one uses him, so he really throws people off and they make stupid move lol, but I still think he is the best Blissey/Spirtomb counter in the entire game. With 101 subs tanks should fear him...Metagross completely walls him though so...
---
Drifblim (♂) @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 252 HP/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Baton Pass
- Stockpile
- Haze
- Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt

My ace in the hole so to say... If theres a poke that has gotten all boosted up I bring in this guy and surprisingly haze them. Also passing stockpiles and a SpAtk boost to Blissey/Starmie=win. Unburden though it doesn't pass, which is lame, helps this guy get off the BP before he dies, watch for priority moves though...

My favorite team.

My favorite team I ever ran was
SpecsMence
Cresselia
Blissey
Rhyperior/Donphan
Heracross
Manaphy

Went between donphan and rhyperior a lot. Manapjhy was no longer usable so I just made a new team. Still use the same 3 walls everytime though.

Crobat (♂) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 166 HP/92 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Hypnosis
- U-turn
- Roost

a vgg lead.It switches into CBross Megahorns and CC's with ease and Sleeps,s the incoming Pokemon Onoes I can't counter the Newcomer
Then I'm gonna MAK A U-TURN

If only... If only...

Any team with 2-3 OU Walls and 3-4 OU Sweepers with an addition of either a Tank or a Mixed Sweeper can make a usable team.

Both teams posted have major Weavile weaks. BTW, is this just an attempt to gather free teams? Not accusing anyone. This isn't really a team, but it's a kickass duo that has helped me rake up wins.
Scizor @ Leftovers, Impish, Swarm
252 HP 252 Defense 6 Speed
Agility
Roost/Swords Dance
BP
X-Scissor

Heatran @ Life Orb, Modest/Timid, Flash Fire
252 Special Attack 252 Speed 6 Defense
Fire Blast/Flame thrower
Taunt
Dark Pulse
Earth Power

I don't feel like posting the whole team, but I've used this on Shoddy with a fair amount of success...

Porygon-Z (Scarf'd with HP fighting)
Metagross (Agili-gross with Tpunch)
Gliscor (SD BP-er with a defensive EV spread)
Blissey (standard)
Starmie (Spinner with Tbolt)
(Can't remember what this slot was, some sort of physical sweeper probably)

Anyways, Scarf'd Porygon-Z can hit a lot of leads like Weavile and Salamence with 1HKO's, and I eventually try to BP a Swords Dance to Metagross, Agility up, and sweep. It worked pretty well.

I actually really like the idea behind this thread. Since the RMT boards are in such shambles there really isn't a place for novice players to go and see good teams to emulate. Only by understanding the elements that make successful teams work can one become a better battler.

That being said here is a team that is very dear to me.

Gyarados@Leftovers
Adamant
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Taunt

Great lead that gains the offensive advantage with so many defensive leads that seem popular today. Taunt stops SR, poison spikes, spikes, etc. Waterfall and Stone Edge are for type coverage. If your opponent is stupid it usually only takes this pokemon to sweep their team.

Snorlax@Leftovers
Careful
-Body Slam
-Crunch
-Rest
-Sleep Talk

I use him because I wanted a more offensive Blissey. Crunch is so he isn't walled by ghosts. Nothing likes switching in on Body slams and risking the para hax. Heals itself like a pro, and absorbs all manner of sleep. He's pretty much the heart of my teams defenses.

Forretress@Leftovers
Relaxed
-Explosion
-Earthquake
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock

Utility poke and physical wall. Earthquake lets it take rival forretress and metagross while still wallking weavile to the fifth dimension. SR support is nice as is rapid spin. Explosion is to go out with a bang and kill Garchomps locked into outrage.

Starmie@Leftovers
Timid
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Recover

Countering starmie. Poses a special threat where most of my other members are physical. Comes in after a special wall has been removed and can sweep easily. SR also helps wear down other teams so he can sweep. Poses threats to so many metagame threats that he is very useful.

Breloom@Toxic Orb
Adamant
-Focus Punch
-Spore
-Leech Seed
-Substitute

Sleep inducer and wall destroyer. Spores walls like Blissey, Skarm, Weezing, and dusknoir to set up sub seed punches. Tears apart slow teams and helps all my other pokemon sweep. My favorite pokemon ever. Comes in on Blissey Ice Beams or Thunderbolts and does his job.

Garchomp@Choice Scarf
Adamant
-Fire Blast
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Outrage

The offensive star of the team. After SR and Breloom wall destruction he sweeps teams. Great cleanup, and what everyone should use instead of physical electivire to pair with Gyarados.

My whole team focuses on wall and steel removal so that garchomp can sweep. Leech Seed and SR support helps make this possible. I have been very successful with this team and it is definitely my favorite.

Machamp (No Guard, Scarfed)
Raikou (Sub, CM)
Gyarados (Bulky)
Electivire (Standard)
Weezing (Standard
Blissey (Standard)

This team is what I use, works pretty well. Don't feel like going into sets but I have the complete thing posted in the RMT forum.

This is my most succesful team:

Salamence(DD, EQ, Dragon Claw, FB @Lefties)
Heracross(Megahorn, CC, Stone Edge, Pursuit @C-Scarf)
Starmie(Surf, Ice Beam, Recover, RS @Lefties)
Hippowdon(EQ, Stone Edge, SR, Slackoff @Lefties)
Blissey(ST, TWave, Softboil, Ice Beam @Lefties)
Raikou(TBolt, HP Ice, CM, Sub @Lefties)

This is a team that is on the RMT forum. If u want to see Nature and EV's please see My Second Shoddy Team. Please RMT.
