Introduction
I have always loved themed teams since the time Archaludon was OU and the rain teams used to dominate, this is another attempt at reviving that feeling

The Team
Torkoal (F) @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 104 HP / 236 SpA / 168 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Clear Smog
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower
Starting with the sun setter of course, torkoal works a little better for me since my team lacks some defensive capabilities and First Impression Lokix or E-Speed Dnite were one of the major late game problems. Torkoal is the perfect surprise rock setter as well. Clear smog to prevent setup.
Walking Wake @ Choice Specs
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Steam
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Pulse
This Guy needs no introduction, the reliable carry of the team, every mon fears coming into a hydro steam. An absolute monster and blessing for a sun team, Modest choice specs terra can destroy stall teams if played right.
Great Tusk @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Protosynthesis
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin
- Temper Flare
My secret MVP of the team, adamant for maximum damage. Terra steel for taking a hit and rapid speed boost can wins late games and turns the tide completely on a bad day. Temper flare for gholdengo with Balloon and general boosted attack in sun.
Scovillain @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Growth
- Tera Blast
Always had a love hate relationship with this mon (like its heads), but after experimenting with Venusaur and Vileplume, Scov stab growth sun flamethrowers are just better. Tera ground for pesky threats like Iron moth and Glowking. Timid max speed in sun is tied with Booster speed Iron Valiant.
Hatterene @ Eject Button
Ability: Magic Bounce
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Healing Wish
- Psyshock
- Draining Kiss
- Mystical Fire
The staple and the most effective pivot, hatty. Such a unique mon and eject button helps switch instantly into WW/ Scov/ Ceruledge to instantly set up and get a lead. Pretty effective counter to Zama, and tera steel has actually made me win games. Mystical fire for the nasty ghol/ kingambit switch in. Overall the centre piece of the team.
Ceruledge @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 Atk / 28 Def / 228 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Solar Blade
- Bitter Blade
- Shadow Sneak
Saving the best for the last, definitely my fav mon on the team and the strongest by far. This guy has single handedly made me win games 6-0 multiple times, and in Sun - Bitter blade - SD - Weak Armor is just unfair. The ultimate no brainer strategy : Lead with torkoal, switch hatterene, pivot to ceruledge and SD and relax. Some defense EV's to take a physical hit and not trigger sash, and in general take priority a little better when the Weak armor is triggered. Kingambit? Shadow sneak game begins!
The star is still the tera grass SolarBlade for Ting lu, primarina and using defensively for SD + Weak armor setup.
Threats
-> Kyurem with DD and scale shot/ Icicle spear. I try to tera my tusk, then scov or ceruledge takes the final blow.
-> Latias, that calm mind stored power set can be a problem if not dealt early.

I took inspirations from a lot of different players and would like to specially thank Sebas99sevilla for inspiring me to build my own sun team. Feedbacks are welcome!
