Sun Stroke oOo [OU]

This is my first post, and my first RMT at the same time. I've done a lot of research on Sunny Day teams, I believe them to be my favourite by far.
Ofcourse it still needs a lot of work and I intend to make this on Pokemon Black once Dream World is released.

Kitsune - Lead
Ninetales@Chesto Berry
38.png

Timid nature (+Spd/-Atk)
Drought
248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spd
- Fire Blast
- Will-o-Wisp
- Toxic
- Rest

By far the best Ninetales set I've seen thus far. I found it on Benlisted's Thread.
Being able to recover and use it later in the game makes it so much easier to use later on in the game. Will-O-Wisp improves it's survial and Toxic helps break down walls faster.

Joy - Pure Support
Blissey@Leftovers
242.png

Bold nature (+Def/-Atk)
Natural Cure
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
- Aromatherapy
- Protect
- Softboiled
- Flamethower

Blissey helps keep me alive. Generally as simple as that. This was a Sawsbuck but I believe Blissey feels in the Support with Aroma much better.

HappyFeet - Mixed Sweeper
Venusaur@Life Orb

Mild nature (+SpA/-Def)
Chlorophyll
64 HP / 164 Atk / 96 SpA / 184 Spe
- Earthquake
- Energy Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Growth

I went with a standard Mixed Venusaur. Growth boosts all of it's moves. Very good wall breaker, and really good coverage overall. I never liked the idea of having to switch when having a very good boost.

Imposter - Flash Fire Booster
Heatran@Balloon
485.png

Timid nature(+Spd/-Atk)
Flash Fire
6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Ice
- Stealth Rock

In my opinion every Sunny Day team needs a Flash Fire pokemon somewhere in the team and I chose Heatran who can come boost on the attack and Stealth Rock on the Switch. Well that's the theory.
Hidden Power Ice also helps deal with pesky Dragons which this team lacks resistances against from what I can tell.

Starscream - Revenge of the Fallen
Chandelure@Choice Scarf
ShanderaFront.gif

Timid nature(+Spd/-Atk)
Shadow Tag
4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power Ice
- Overheat / Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball

My revenger. It had a versatile movepool which allow for it to hit most things hard. Chandelure has to be the best revenger currently in the game and the set is pretty standard. I can't tell whether to go with Flamethrower or Overheat. It's something I need to test.

Shinobi
Starmie@Expert Belt
121starmie.png

Natural Cure
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid nature(+Spd/-Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt

Quite an aggressive Starmie. Has the deadly BoltBeam coverage along with Psychic for dealing with the rise of Fighting type Pokemon in the Meta. Went with Starmie with the advice of Benlisted, and this seems a lot better as it can come back in the future thanks to Wish Support from Blissey.

Looking forward to all the suggestions.

Please explain to me as much as possible.

I've played a few games with this team and I like it a lot. I've made a few changes to the Blissey moveset, but I'm not going to post them just yet because I'm still tinkering with them.

Seems a fairly solid team to me, was pleasantly surprised you;re using my Tales set XD! There are a few changes I'd recommend, however.

Venusaur cannot legally use Power Whip currently. If the sim lets you, by all means keep abusing it, but just to warn you. In any case, try EB over PW for a more powerful purely special set, and HP Fire over Sleep Powder - Who needs to Sleep things when only two mons in the whole game wall you (Tran and Chandelure)? You'll need to watch out for Chan in any case, however, unless you run the inferior EQ.

Protect seems not too great on Tran - try EP for coverage, as hitting Chandelures and enemy Trans is invaluable.

Personally I'd slot Focus Blast or HP Fight onto Chandelure as it needs to be able to take TTar out of the equation for you, over HP Ice (Scarfed dragons outspeed and KO you anyway, and Tran takes them on better). Use Flamethrower or Fire Blast in the sun, as the power difference is even more neglibible with Sun boost, so you may as well avoid making yourself setup bait.

The final change would be to your spinner. Tentacruel isn't the best for your team for several reasons. One, common weaknesses to Psychic and Ground; two, that T-Spikes will interfere with you WoWing TTar and Dragons with Tales (and Sleep Powder currently); and three, lack of any offensive presence due to neutered STAB. I'd recommend Starmie over Tentacruel for virtually any Sun team for these reasons, so the same applies to you. You can either use a Scarf spinner set (nice for revenging Dragons with Ice Beam, as well as beating Blaziken at +2 and OHKOing with Psychic, and has T-Bolt to help with Politoed and Rain abusers), or a normal more defensive spinner set, with greater survivability due to recover. Personally I'd go for the Scarfed set since it looks like you may have some Dragon and Blaziken issues, but you'd really need to be careful of Chandelure in that case, so it's up to you - admittedly I don't play DW so can't really comment on this.

Hope these suggestions help, and good luck.

Venusaur can get it as an Egg Move? It can breed with a Tangela who has learnt Power Whip by levelling up.

I'm defiantly going to have to look at some of the different Starmie sets, I guess I'll probably go with:
Starmie
move1: Rapid Spin
move2: Surf / Hydro Pump
move3: Thunderbolt / Ice Beam
move4: Recover
item: Leftovers / Life Orb
ability: Natural Cure
nature: Timid
evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Though I would like to see a Scarf set, but I do prefer the recovery.

It's a past Gen Egg Move with a Dream World ability hence, not legal. Hopefully it will be at some point, but it doesn't seem likely.

If I had a Male Venusaur (W/ Power Whip) and a Female Dream World Venusaur I should be able to breed the 2.

This is from http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3011970#post3011970.

Also changing up Heatran to have EP as suggested and still looking into Starmie sets, tempted to go with an Expert Belt set though I'm really unsure of the moves for it. Rapid Spin / Thunder Bolt / Ice Beam / Recover, Psychic, Psyshock, Trick, Surf or even Hydro Pump.

I'm looking forward to it.

Sadly, Bulbasaur was released with its DW ability via an event, as a male only pokemon, making egg moves impossible to breed onto it, very sadly.

Rapid Spin/Psychic or Psycho Shock/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt is what I'd go since you have Wish support, but you can always stick recover on there somewhere.

That really is sad. Made some changes on the team hopefully it now properly legal and I've noticed how offensive this team is now.

uhm, you shouldn't bump your posts every single day or every other day really.
If nobody else is going to rate your team, then ask some team raters; I'm sure they'd be glad to help you out.
