Sun team needs help :)

Hi, i just made a sun team, and i need some opinions.

#1
Ninetales @Focus Sash
Drought
252 SpA - 252 Sp - 4 HP
Timid (+Sp, -Att)
-Nasty Plot
-Will-O-Wisp
-Solarbeam
-Overheat

The obvious lead. I found out that, with high speed, Ninetales can set up with a nasty plot, survive the hit using sash, the strike back with Overheat/ Solarbeam. Its fragile, so without the sash it dies off easily. I dont mean for it to survive that long anyway, so taking off 1-2 pokemon is enough. Thats why i use overheat over Fire Blast, as i want as much power as possible for the only attack it can usually pull off.

#2
Forretress @Leftovers
Sturdy
252 HP - 4 Def - 252 SpD
Sassy (+SpD, -Sp)
-Stealth Rock
-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball

The hazard support. Theres not much i can say about it, except i chose sassy to be able to take some special hits.

#3
Venusaur @Life Orb
Chlorofyll
4 HP - 252 SpA - 252 Sp
Modest (+SpA, -Att)
-Growth
-Solarbeam
-Sludge Bomb
-Energy Ball

The primary sweeper. Sludge Bomb is surprisingly good, as it takes out the Virizions/Brelooms, as well as do some damage on Volcaronas. Energy Ball is there for when there is no sun, so that venusaur can stand a chance even with rain/sand. Growth and Solarbeam are the staple moves.

#4
Heatran @Air Balloon
Flash Fire
4 HP - 252 SpA - 252 Sp
Timid (+Sp, -Att)
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-HP Ice
-Taunt

The secondary sweeper. Timid and with maxed EVs on Speed means it outspeeds several stuff, more than it normally would, and thats why i decided on Timid over Modest. Taunt fills the last moveset, and gives me an edge against those Blisseys. The others are the obvious moves.

#5
Arcanine @Choice Band
Intimidate
4 HP - 252 Att - 252 Sp
Jolly (+Sp, -SpA)
-Flare Blitz
-Wild Charge
-Close Combat
-Extremespeed

The wallbreaker. It deals with hard to beat pokemon, such as Tyranitar, Tentacruel, Gyarados, Blissey, Jellicent etc. At first i tried Life Orb but, with so mush recoil damage, it just died too easily. Now its not meant to survive for a lot of time, but it survives long enough to beat the problematic opposing pokemon.

#6
Cresselia @Leftovers
Levitate
252 HP - 232 Def - 24 SpD
Bold (-Att, +Def)
-Lunar Dance
-Moonlight
-Psychic
-Thunder Wave

The mixed support wall. Its been surprisingly good so far, despite having no chance against dark types due to being mono attacking. I chose Thunder Wave over Toxic cause it shuts down opposing sweepers, and it also has perfect accuracy. Lunar Dance is used mostly to heal Arcanine or Heatran to deal with a pesky threat. Its been my star so far, though ive been thinking about Psycho Shift as an optin, as i have trouble with poisoning.

So, what do you think? Rate and fix my team! :D

threat list:

Latios
Latias
Jellicent (with Arcanine dead)
Tyranitar (same)
Blissey (same)
Conkeldurr
Heatran
Drizzle teams (with Arcanine dead)
Rotom-H
Rotom-W
Volcarona

Hey JSteele,

Okay, a couple of set comments, and a couple of overall ones. On Ninetales, I think nasty plot + overheat is a little counterproductive--even though overheat has a ton of power, it negates your boosts and won't let you get more than like one KO per nasty plot. I'd suggest maybe fire blast or flamethrower as a STAB instead. Will-o-wisp is a great move on ninetales, keep it IMO.

Forretress looks good, might suggest changing item to shed shell possibly to counter the omnipresent chandelures.

Venusaur is a great sun poke, growth is obviously mandatory. I'd suggest against dual grass STABs, as you can get much better coverage if you use a third attacking move--I'd suggest HP [fire]. For grass STAB, I'd go with giga drain--it gets use outside of sun, has only 5 less BP than energy ball, and provides healing, which is great given LO.

Heatran is great on sun teams--due to his typing provides a bunch of resistances etc. Given this, I might try a more defensive spread with a set of Lava plume, earth power, protect, roar with lefties (or HP ice if you want).

I like arcanine personally, but I have to admit I don't know how effective he is in DW. I might go with a speed boost blaziken instead, as it is both an amazing sweeper and wallbreaker. A set of Swords dance, Flare blitz, Hi jump kick, thunderpunch seems like it would fit your goals.

Cresselia set seems good, the rationale for thunderwave over toxic is good. While lunar dance is a very potent move, having it on a wall like cresselia might not be such a great idea as you need her defensive capabilities. You could do a double status set, with thunderwave for sweepers and toxic for walls, or add ice beam.

Okay, a couple of bigger notes. Although the nasty plot ninetales set is very powerful, I might consider a bulkier spread--ninetales should last for a while in order to have a chance of winning the weather war against opposing weather teams. Additionally, while cresselia is a decent defensive choice, Your team could do with a bit more of a devensive core--I can see it falling ground attacks very quickly if cresselia is removed, and cresselia can be trapped by either chandelure or tyranitar, neither of which it can really hurt. Some possible replacements could be gliscor, celebi, or lati@as, all of which have good defensive synergy with heatran.

Hope this helped!

First of all, thanks for the comments.

I think Blaziken is a really good choice so i think ill add it. Im a little iffy on high jump kick, as it can easily be beaten by ghost switches.

When i tried giga drain venusaur the online simulator says to not use it as it cant have egg moves with the DW ability :/

About ninetales, can you please post an example bulky set you consider good?

chandelure and tyranitar are indeed big threats for cresselia and its her biggest problem is certainly this. But, having tried gliscor, i can say cress was a bit better for the job i need. I havent tried celebi, but i think it is a bit killed by the sun boost making the fire weakness too important. I may actually try calm mind latias though, sounds good.

also, i found out blaziken cant have thunderpunch as well as speed boost in the same set as it is tought TPunch in gen4 + its uber.
