[SET COMMENTS]
With its amazing offensive stats, access to Swords Dance, and Fire typing, Rapidash is a staple of sun teams. Solar Blade is an amazing move under sun, nuking usual checks like Rhydon and Poliwrath. High Horsepower targets Fire-types like opposing Rapidash and Ninetales, as well as Qwilfish, whereas Play Rough can nail Dragon-types like Altaria and Appletun, the former being a huge threat to sun teams. Flash Fire provides a useful Fire immunity, which is a blessing for sun teams, letting Rapidash absorb sun-boosted Fire-type attacks from the likes of Ninetales and opposing Rapidash.
Sun setters like Liepard, Uxie, and Exeggutor are mandatory partners for Rapidash, allowing for a powerful sun-boosted Flare Blitz and no charge Solar Blade. Other Pokemon that can take advantage of sun like Ivysaur, Shiftry, and Leafeon also make for great partners Rapidash handles Grass-types such as Tangela, Shiinotic, and Gourgeist formes and Articuno, while they can weaken the likes of Altaria and Appletun in return.

Other Options
=============
Flame Charge allows Rapidash to boost its Speed and prevents it from being revenge killed by Choice Scarf users like Sawk, Kabutops, and Rotom. However, Rapidash can't really to forgo its other moves.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Water-types**: Although they dislike status and specific coverage moves, Water-types like Cramorant, Qwilfish, and Poliwrath are able to handle Rapidash with their Water-type STAB attacks. They can be inconsistent in sun, however.
**Rock- and Ground-types**: Rock- and Ground-types like Coalossal, Piloswine, and Rhydon threaten Rapidash and force it out. However, they must be wary of coverage moves like High Horsepower and Solar Blade. They also dislike status from Toxic and Will-O-Wisp.
**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types like Altaria and Thick Fat Appletun shrug off Rapidash's Flare Blitz and most coverage options. Although Appletun dislikes Toxic, Altaria can shrug off status thanks to Natural Cure. They must be wary of Play Rough in sun teams, however.
**Miltank**: With its excellent physical bulk and Thick Fat, Miltank is able to consistently switch into Rapidash and cripple it with Toxic. Miltank can also use Heal Bell to cure Toxic spread by Rapidash.
