Just a note, but telling people who are involved in the decision making process for the competitive metagame what's going to happen in said metagame and then saying that they don't know what they're talking about seems quite foolish.

my mains are bottom tier!(mario and sonic)i have triumphed in smash tourneys and brawl clan wars for this?

Edit:yeah i was in tourneys in another site so don't search in smogon´s brawl tourneys

each character is also ordered within their own tier, up until low tier. because at that point it's a "toss-up" and who the hell knows if sonic is really shittier than Pokemon Trainer lolz

anyway i think gw should be above falco, kirby is a little too high, peach is a little too high, ike should be low, toon link and pikachu have 'upper' potential but haven't placed at many tournaments...but the list as a whole looks solid.

also metaknight deserves to be by himself. why? because snake is his only bad match up. what does that mean?

metaknight basically clears the field at tournaments of all of snake's bad matchups, aside from dk. metaknight just overall matches up better against the whole cast than snake, who can be outcamped. and when he's outcamped, OH SHIT COLONEL we have a problem. plus, you can't tell me it's easier to counterpick meta than it is to counterpick snake. :\ snake might still always win more tournaments than meta, but meta would still be overall better against everyone else.

Considering every character is ordered within their tiers, I genuinely (i main him) think Toon link is too low. He has great aerials and can camp projectiles excellently...
 
TL doesn't have tournament results to back him up, which is really quite saddening

I really don't care whether Meta Knight has its own tier or not. Either way I think most of us can agree that Meta Knight > Snake in the tiering.

Samus is a bit too high imo. Mario > Samus

Ike is too high (he should not be above Pikachu and Toon Link)

Peach is too high. I think she's mid.

While I think Marth and G&W should be above Falco, it really doesn't matter to me a whole lot. To me, DDD, ROB, Marth and Falco have interchangable postitions in the tier list. G&W should honestly be higher than them, though.

Tbh Meta Knight isn't disadvantaged vs. DK. I think it's even, but w/e.

Remember that M2K also contributed to the tier list, which is probably why DDD is a bit high.

I'm a definite Olimar Main, although my secondary is a rather large toss up, Between *clears throat* : Lucas, Ness, PT, Pikachu, R.O.B, Kirby, TL and Falco (maybe :G) *cries*. WHO DO I CHOOSE? :G

I'd try PT since Ivysaur is pretty similar to Olimar, maybe ROB on the side for versatility in matchups... Pikachu is good too since Pika's a bitch to Snake and MK
 
Yeah, I think that Pika would be a good choice, as I want to be able to have a good match-up against Oli's bad ones and ones that I never seem to get (Peach =/).
 
The H2YL list would probably factor Azen into things and he mains Ike doesn't he? Or he did anyway. That probably skews things a bit into Ike's favour due to how Ike must do in tournaments in that area.
 
I really hate how everyone's lumping Yoshi in bottom tier, he's the best he's ever been and despite some poor/downright bad matchups (Falco, Zelda) Yoshi is a competent character and has a lot of options against a huge portion of the cast. Game & Watch, in my experience, is outcamped by eggs, Dedede is too slow and Waddle Dees are again outcamped by eggs, and Sonic/Mario pose no problem to Yoshi, just as some examples. I'm honestly beginning to think most competitive players simply don't use Yoshi and thus lump him in with other perceived "bad" characters, instead of giving him a fair chance with testing in tournaments.
 
I've done a few matches vs the CPU with Yoshi and found SH BAir approaches to be really good... Eggs are cool, but besides those two things.. it don't look good for that dinosaur.
 
Yoshi has an infinite grab on multiple characters, including Wario (which is an unbreakable infinite) to further help his matchups. His range and combos also can rack up about 20% (per combo, generally A+A then forward tilt), so I really think he doesn't get enough credit.
 
yoshiking, as that may be, too many characters still beat him, or are just better.
to be honest, if you mained a top tier character, you would probably contend with the pros.
from how i remember you playing, metaknight would be a good option to try, not that you should give up yoshi, but you should try some other high tier characters because it's mainly how good you are that makes yoshi look good ._.;;
 
I just don't think kirby = high. His only reliable killing moves would be the BAir and the FSmash, and the BAir is hard to hit with and the FSmash is quite slow. Kirbycide = fail. I like him, but the's not deserving of high IMO. Mid or mid-high, maybe.

This is the point I was trying to make. I'm not trying to say that Yoshi should be anything higher than Middle tier, but him being in bottom/the lowest of low tier (not to mention below Sonic) is laughable. He's an excellent character in his own right and with the discovery of the ability to perform 2 double jumps in midair, his gimping game gets even better. Coupled with his good matchups against a majority of characters, I would say he deserves a spot in high low/middle tier.

yoshi, I disagree, I think Kirby should stay where he is/move a little bit lower. His Downsmash and Upsmash are also reliable and powerful killing moves.
 
I'd just rather take a look at the matchup charts in Smashboards than bother with coming up with personal opinions TBH...

Actually his bair is one of his more used moves, and as such it will probably be diminished. His fsmash is very fast actually, though it does have punishable cooldown. And as yk said u and dsmashes are good (iirc), and let's not forget about the hammer. Kirby kills very well I think.

WHAAAAA??? How does this work?? That's huge for yoshi!! And yeah, IMO yoshi isn't deserving of his generally considered position. Though it's hard to say as no one plays him :x.

Are you talking about IvanEva's chart? That thing is verrrry inaccurate; and coincidentally is based primarily on his opinion.
To quote him: "This is basically a chart of what I've experienced, observed or have been informed of (in that order of priority)".
