Really now!?! I had no clue that I was floating higher when I would go for a dair! Thanks! That helps a lot, I'll be sure to pay more attention to from now on. I guess that's related to a bad habit I have of rushing my aerials. Peach's slow floating gets to me so I do stupid stuff; I just need to chill a bit.

Yea I noticed the rolling :P. Specifically after I came back after losing a stock; I knew you would roll past me so I just smashed in the opposite direction. Now that I think about it though I should be doing other things than panicking and mashing the c-stick down when someone rolls into me. Her d-smash sucks at high percentages..... though I guess it's good against the IC's b/c it splits them up sometimes.

I also noticed in a few matches that your returning to the stage was fairly predictable (you usually attacked), try to mix it up a little. Let's see what else did I notice..... I remember you sometimes used the same attack over and over which gave me a free hit b/c I knew what was coming. And when you hit the ground you would usually roll away from me which I could predict and punish.

Thats all I can remember. Hope it helps! ;)

Looking for brawls. I can also record for youtube if you want, but only close matches in that case and you'll need to have aim, skype or msn messaging . PM me if your interested in a youtube recorded one or even just a few practice fun ones

Hey epic did the second match freeze on you like it did on me? I turned my wii off and on because it didn't look like it was going to unfreeze... otherwise lagless first match!

oh damn

lg dude

you are by far the funnest person i've ever brawled. and very very talented with fox as well! you look like a part of one of those pro vids with all the shorthopping and reflecting and whatnot! ;)

i'm surprised that i was as good as i was haha.

I'm guessing that it d/c'd on your end but i swear we must have fought for at least an hour and a half and i was looking forward to each and every match.

obligatory "so what do you think i could improve on" question

You seemed to use dsmash at times with char when it wasn't really a sure hit (and a lot of those times I did avoid it). It leaves you open afterward, so try to use safer attacks when you have the choice. Try fairing more. Its range and speed are great, and it has pretty nice knockback at higher percentages. The disjointed hitbox makes it tough for other chars to hit you out of it, as well. You did use it a couple of times to kill me, but a lot of other times I noticed you just hung back trying other stuff, while I would survive a bit longer to do more damage to you.

I can't think of anything else I saw that you could improve on, although I don't know a whole lot about PT to begin with.

Oh, and what about me? What did you notice that I could improve on? I think I was being too obvious in some of my approaches, and wasn't mixing it up enough, but... meh.

Ah, and I just remembered something, and it not only goes to you, but to everyone. USE THE GRAB ATTACK MORE. Its greatly improved in speed from melee. When you get a grab at even mid percents, you can get a bunch off, and it helps to restore your worn out moves, too. It's something I noticed not many people do. As fox I have lasers to help restore my moves, but for most chars, this is the quickest, easiest, and most effective way to do it.

Ok CasMat, where to begin. Minus those two freezes, things were damn near lagless.

Alrighty, you play Samus very well, the best I had seen. The first game you almost beat my Zelda, you were damn close. I had to literally change my playstyle completely against her. The games afterwards were where the problems started, though.

You need to definitely mix up your game though. You became predictable afterwards and I'd stop missing opportunities to punish you, even though your Samus is great. And you seemed to fall into a set pattern depending on the situation, like you'll follow your Zair with a throw in almost every situation. That and I just got used to Samus in general.

It seems your Samus has a bit of trouble with really aggressive play, as well. Mix it up some and you'll be fine. When you played my Pit, I don't think you knew what to do, because once you approached I played him ridiculously aggressive, which you probably haven't seen happen before.

Your Pikachu was interesting as well. He was clearly good, and he'd be great if you threw some D-Smash in his mix. You didn't D-Smash me once. Also, you used QAC a bit too much going up and down. I'd only recommend doing it once or twice.

Once you do those things, I think your game will improve a lot. Your dodging skills are great and you know how to punish very well.

Thanks a ton for the brawls though, they were great and a learning experience for me.

It appears Samus has an advantage against Zelda, as well. Thanks for helping me compile that.

Edit: Oh yeah, I don't think I'll be able to do 2v2s anymore, since I have to go to a party now. Hopefully some people on Smogon will be up for some late Friday.

hmmmmmm...well you didn't shinespike kill me. you did try it a few times when i was knocked off but...iduno. maybe it's because i was hard to shinespike! i really don't know how you are supposed to work that in or anything but...yeah. just something i noticed. probably not a problem at all.

one thing i did notice is that at least during the first half of our matches, you really neglected your laser. particularly against charizard. squirtle can just duck under, and can jump over, but ivysaur can't effectively avoid most of them and charizard is just huuuuuuuuuuge. but you did start using it a lot more as we went on.

hmmmm when ivysaur was out, you didn't reflect leaves very much. but that's due in part to you playing so aggressively and not leaving me much room to rl ya anyway. :P but yeah, just something to think about. you could mix that in a bit, couldn't hurt.

i did notice a pattern in the way you'd approach me, and if i had used it and were a tad bit faster at it, i could have shieldgrabbed some of them and bullet seeded some others. which is something i really need to use more...

edit what i mean is at low percents, you'd usually drillkick and higher you'd dash attack or hyphen smash. i understand why, since drillkicking at higher percents will knock me too far away to shine me or something but you could consider some other approach that early. i am not that familiar with fox but maybe even the fair or something iduno.

you didn't throw me much, but at least it's more than i threw you! dashgrabs are cool...well on squirtle at least, ivy and zard outrange ya. and squirtle is in the air a lot...actually maybe dashgrabs aren't all that effective heh.

really you are very solid though. this is just nitpicking. you've got your shorthops down, your dair approaches, your mindgame dashdances, that blasted usmash that'd kill squirtle at 100%...:].

Reflecting is something I really need to get used to. Thanks for reminding me of that. I never think to reflect anything... like ever, unless it's a big hit, as in melee it gave really bad lag afterward. That's not the case in brawl, but the habit is still there.

As for my approach game... Yeah, I thought so. And actually the only reason I stopped dairing you was because you were avoiding my dairs. They combo into stuff at any percent, and at high percents combo cleanly into a usmash. The problem is that they just weren't connecting, so I needed to try other stuff.

Anyway, I'm done for the night. I look forward to playing more of you peeps tomorrow. =)
