Good matches Hawk. I really feel comfortable with Wolf now. I'm still way too clunky with Snake. Metaknight is doing better, and of course, GDorf is still a mean machine. I did enjoy those Yoshi matches immensely.

Honestly I think Wolf is my best character now, if only because he's both high-tier AND I'm used to him now. Fightin' Irish Wolves, folks!
 
great games deck, I think I went through about half the cast in the course of those games.

One thing though: how the hell do you beat wolf? As you could probably tell, I have issues playing him. He has great projectiles and a reflector so I can't hang back, the best smashes in the game imo so you can't get close without being punished, and even a pretty good air game. Where's the hole? (don't say recovery, that's really a nonfactor in brawl unless you're link)

Oh, and Im back, sorry. Jestr got home from his first brawl tournament so far, and he won it all with MK. Too bad I couldn't go. Anyways, I was facing him.

So I'm going to make a room, and whoever is now available can play me ;D

Wolf doesn't have an easily exploitable weakness, which is why he makes such a great character. The Laser has a very limited range, which is why I always try to keep a someone middle-ground distance when using it. I also don't fall into the habit of camping, first because Wolf can't do it well since the projectile comes out slow.

Most of it comes down to Pressure. The reason I like Wolf is because I can often get my opponent into a pacing that is to my advantage. Throw out a few Reflectors here and there, use Reflector itself to stun, and also use a few close range lasers thanks to their great close-range properties. Laser or Reflector into a Smash is a very common favorite move of mine.

I do have a bad habit of dropping Reflector too quickly though vs. projectiles. I'm not used to holding it down because I usually end up using it for either Fake-outs or close-range stuns.

In short, it's best not to let the Wolf player get into figuring out your habits. It's the same reason I take a lot of hits with GDorf on my first stock. It gets me used to what my opponent uses as standard offensive tactics, and then I can work around them. I especially like punishing aerial chasers with GDorf, who come up for a kill only to be send high above the screen with Wizard's Foot.

Pit does fairly well against Wolf because they have a similar potential for tactics, although Pit has infinitely better recovery. Wolf's is somewhere between Falco and Fox.

I thought I would of won against Rob, but I died prematurely on Final D, but aw well. Against snake, that was sorta lame with the lag, but I cant say you arent good. If we ever get a less laggy battle, that'd be epic.

And goddamnit. NORAIR ISN'T A STUPID STAGE. It's a counterpick, so I dont see why you'd kill yourself over it. Plus, I would definetly win there ;D

I would sorta like a 2v2, but if Hawk wants, 1v1 against him would also be sweet :]

EDIT: Oh shit, sorry man. Tpup had that put on the taunt list. Its not that I'm actually calling you an "idoit" its just a poke fun of. I started spamming that because I was frustrated that you'd kill yourself over a stage. It's not like all our matches had to be final destination, intensely competitive. But yeah, it's not an actual insult. Its a joke that i'm calling the opponent and idiot, but I misspell it Idoit. I don't care for the word bubble, I just like his side taunts the most :[

Sorry, I wont taunt when we play. X___X

My brother wants to do a 2v2, but until someone else makes a team (Maku, epic xP ) I would prefer if we have a 1v1 :D

Edit: wheres that from anyway? I think smashboards has it listed under counterpick, and I really dont see why it would fall under banned. The hazards are pretty easy to dodge.
 
Ok, I'm down for some 2v2s if someone wants to partner up with me.

EDIT: I do mean against Mr.Es and his brother.

Or 1v1s, for whoever was down, Wolt, etc..
 
Great games Mr. Esc, I had no idea the bucket absorbed t-bolts. I dunno what happened at the last kill in that game, but the thunderbolt connected. Bleh, you play a much better GaW than me (didn't know you could hammer out of the d-throw, fun). How's my shiek?

Funny that we did the G&W doubles in the end. Pretty sweet. I just about forgot you had started using him.

But yeah, I'm still upset that it didn't let my bucket go off on the Thunder. I was baiting you into using it, so when you finally did, it was lame that my bucket never came out D:

But yeah, we should battle more :]

Edit: Yeah, you can catch Thunder. Its pretty much a KO at 0% even with DI o________O

The Dthrow is arguably the best throw in the game. If you're going to use it, heres what you should consider. If they have little percent, go into some jabs. If they arent prepared or are bad at DI in general, you'll get lots of damage. AVoid spamming this. Also, you can do an amazingly fast dtilt out of it. Hammer is the killing throw tech, so try saving it for high percents. Apparently, depending on how they roll, fsmash can work too. Pretty much, it sets you up for almost any move if you predict where they will roll, if they'll get up with an attack, etc etc.

Your Sheik is pretty nice. I've never had problems with them till I finally faced yours. Your approaches get sorta predictable, but keep up with the needleplay. You had me in some pretty nice tilts->aerials, so that was good. I'll need to face Sheik some more, as I'm untrained in fighting them :S

And I got the nine hammer off :DDDDDD
 
Hmm either of you feel like fighting again? There are a few things that I'd like to test out, if possible, to see if they have potential.

No offense taken, though honestly we've only fought like two times. In those cases, it just so happens that you are on and the only one available to bawl when I'm popping on.

Alrighty for sure, I actually should be heading off soon, today has been to busy I guess to get any brawls in before lol.
