You don't got two mons you bring everytime? Go Belly Drum with maximum hit points with some Intimidate users in the back. Snorlax has synergy with the Gen 1 monsters the best so I recommend starting there. I'm also on a Bastiodon rampage, do you have any usage there? If so, what'd you find?

Uh maybe. Bastiodon I had thought of, but someone pointed out Garg does everything better.

You I like. Anyways, Frosmoth being bad is one opinion, I do not share it. GL. Watch out for physical, also you have to tera for lots, like even special. Team should not utilize another tera hog imo. Frosmoth is deadly toward Iron Bundle and Ursaluna BM, usually most of all.

EDIT: But yeah, give me a PM for more. This thread would otherwise just be dead, but that's ok cause it's just for questions not discussions.

Sometimes stall is the answer to stall. Namely I mean my Fissure +ChestoRest Dondozo, shouldn't care about toxic and such, ignores Blisseys Cm, and fishes. Gholdengo is famous for messing up stall, I think. If you're looking chiefly at those 2 and not the whole archetype, Gallade readily comes to mind.

I think blisseys go for fling most of the time now, otherwise trick scarf/specs gets stall ok

Why is Tyranitar unranked in the viability rankings when its type and ability should make it a good check for Ho-Oh and shadow Calyrex? Is it not really a good check for those 2 threats, or do most teams not need one Pokemon that checks both of them?

Not only is it reliable answers to both those restricted it's an absolute demon that shrugs off miraidon as well. Only the most cultured hold tyranitar near to their hearts

Sacred fire and Tera make Tyranitar a shaky hooh check a lot of the time, and Tera does complicate the Calyrex matchup a little bit, but the honest answer is we just overlooked it, and it will likely get added in the B ranks in the next update

So what would be a good moveset for checking both of them?

I can think of at least 1 mon that I wonder why it's no longer on vr too, and now that this thread isn't fully dead, I can ask that in a better place. Arboliva is a great answer to Caly S, Miraidon, and Kyogre. I hesitate to say just check, because typically she can switch in on these too, and proceed to win. The first two there are kinda huge, though Arb is good vs a bunch of special attackers, and can even do leech/strength sap type stuff fwiw. The advent of Alluring Voice really helped, Gleam is ok, but cutting through sub(esp subbers setting up, they get confused,) is key. Pluus there's any number of things that might think they can set up, and assume they will take a lot less if they don't hit to start terrain for the extra power on STAB. Pao and Koraidon are plainly bad for arb, but there is tera and what not...I won't push until and if I get results overall, but I'd still like to know why Arb got taken down, and moreover why she isn't back up in this meta.

What are some good ev spreads for do dozo? I'm not looking to run it, more to see if a Tera change lets me 2hko a good set or not. It still won't full def ones, but I'm hoping, even if they're impish, some skimp at least about a 100 between HP and def.

Dondozo is commonly max physical defense. If you're looking for consistency, then sadly that is what you want to compare against.

Thank you, that's kinda a shame for this specific case, but it helps to know.

Edit: as for why I'm asking, it's my wacky crawdaunt. I thought I could 2hko with cb knock off, but not quite. It 2hkos pex that way, even with obvi no item 2nd time, but dozo is a breed apart I guess. I will have a separate dozo answer since that and zacian fare quite poorly provided they're rest like normal.

Tinglu is a great switch in, pairing tinglu with something with priority works 30-40%

I have av Scizor for it, previously I used something weird that might be better for it itself, but worse besides. Yea, if you don't want av or outspeed(so probably priority) and ko, you need ting lu. And that can even be an av too, for the most insurance.
