Welcome to the SV LC Team Bazaar! This is a more casual team sharing environment than the sample team thread, which can be found here.

Make sure you adhere to these guidelines:
  • Teams must be playtested if you’re sharing them and looking for advice.
  • Provide an importable (preferably pokepaste) and a brief description of your team. This should include strategy and any special set descriptions.

Importable

This team revolves around water spam from the offensive core of SD Corphish and LO Krabby along with Cutiefly webs. Krabby is a four-attack variant to best punish common water checks like Oddish, Ferroseed, and Mareanie, most notable KOing Oddish on the switch with Knock Off into Body Slam. Cutiefly is a heavy duty boots variant with Roost as to repeatedly switch into Timburr and threat it out and prevent it from defogging, with its own defog as a last resort check to opposing webs. Onix is Weak Armor to check Vullaby and Rufflet with Body Press to pressure Ferroseed. Ferroseed and Mareanie form a defensive backbone, with Mareanie 15 speed timid to consistently pressure 14 speed mudbray and np vullaby, which the team can otherwise struggle with.

Happy posting!

To kick things off, I've got a few fun teams I built this past LPL. LPL is an LC teamtour hosted on discord, and I'd encourage new players to sign up if they want opportunities to break into bigger tours!

Gimmighoul Corphish Screens HO (W)
https://pokepast.es/f3d09b2034c64e3a
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9lc-838741
This was the cleanest game of the three. Kythr and Envy made their own screens Gimmighoul HO a while back, so I thought I'd put my own spin on it. Tera Dark Corphish did its job very well, picking up a KO against a chipped Foongus and Mudbray, then picking off Torchic with Aqua Jet in the lategame. Behind screens, SD foo and Corphish have time to get rolling and threaten KOs. I added extra spdf to Vullaby to better switch in to Foongus when knocked, so it was able to serve both as a secondary Foongus switchin (as toeds structures are vulnerable to sludge bombs) and as a Knock Off absorber. Spikes toeds was the team's Volt immune and sleep immune, and I opted for Knock Off over Rapid Spin since the team wasn't very weak to hazards and appreciated the chance to Knock Off Foongus. Honestly surprised this team picked up a win but it was a funny one to test.

Pineco HO (W)
https://pokepast.es/2a05a32e25e67d57
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2336794308-6qkv72qq4hgorjurk2trjadu7n88376pw
This team was honestly a no-Glimmet matchup fish as I couldn't figure out a clean way to make Pineco work in the existing meta. Throat Chop Vullaby alleviates this a little bit, as it can pick up the 2HKO into Glimmet and Defog off Toxic Spikes. This requires careful pathing, however, as most opponents will click Power Gem into Vullaby. Once again, the feature mon was lucked out of the game. However, it was able to set Stealth Rock for Shellder to pick up the KO.

Gible Scarf Vullaby (W)
https://pokepast.es/17468a971728d077
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9lc-2348342322-vwpnm527313f8erl94pp8ysrd2as4t2pw?p2
Gible has an interesting niche as a Torchic check in the current meta. With substitute and tera steel, it also exploits Foongus, which has extremely high usage in the current meta. Gible is held back by a poor speed stat, which I compensated for in two ways. First, Choice Scarf Vullaby is another niche pick with a good surprise factor on certain compositions, and can still serve its typical role as a knock absorber with Weak Armor. With an Adamant nature, it can pick off sloppy fast Mienfoo leads that click U-Turn. Second, I strapped the team with Thunder Wave Tinkatink, which can slow down threats and improve the matchup against Alolan Sandshrew. Despite Gible catching a max roll from Torchic in my game and Mienfoo getting burned, I was still able to pick up the win by wearing down Foongus and Mienfoo in the late game.

I hope this gives a good sense of what posts in this thread should look like. I'd encourage y'all to post cool teams you've used in the past and have fun with it!

Fun one I made for LCPL W3 to play Quinn with. Click on sprites for paste

:glimmet: :zorua-hisui: :drifloon: :mienfoo: :shellder: :grookey:
HO kinda struggles a lot in this tier post DLC, mainly because of mons like Stunky being great countermeasures that you don't really have much room to play around if maintaining consistency is the goal. With Stunky kinda just trending down in general, and with Quinn being a serial cheese user I thought I could make my own HO work and be advantaged in the matchup due to having better speed control. Now onto the team itself

:glimmet: This spread lives normal Mienfoo Knock Off into HJK, which is one of the main reasons I have always disliked Glimmet as a lead but after running calcs I thought it did function pretty fine. Another issue I normally have with Glimmet structures that to maintain both a good Mienfoo and grounds matchup is impossible, but Grookey in the back helps compliment that a lot.
:zorua-hisui:This guy always has a ton of potential. I was inspired by a match like Fc played a while back in like LCWC where this exact Zorua set got used. You don't really bring this mon out until the endgame where you get good support from Grassy Terrain and Memento. Tera Fairy is really nice to mess with Mienfoo and also resist Sucker Punch. This guy performs really well as long as you recognize winning lines.
:drifloon:Memento support is basically mandatory to make Zorua work. Beyond that, if you ever need to swap into Mienfoo this is the route as you will always live Knock Off after rocks and can even hard it in on Mudbray since you live Stone Edge from full if ur trying to setup on Mudbray itself. It soft checks a lot here. Hypnosis is cool to have a good out vs Chinchou and opposing Glimmet and having two ghosts is fun.
:mienfoo:Its Mienfoo. Sub SD Reckless Tera Steel to take advantage of Foongus and have something at 17 speed.
:shellder: Also just a normal piece on HO Structures. Main goal here is forcing Tera to limit counterplay around other sweepers, having a mon that threatens Foongus with Spear, and having a Fire resist for Torchic.
:grookey:I needed a more secure Ground answer and wanted a pivot so I put on Grookey. It compliments a lot of this team well with terrain support and forcing knocks or generating momentum. It also helps a lot with guys like Chinchou, Shellder, or Elekid which all would be nightmares for this structure.

Heres two replays of the team in action

Here’s a cool hazard stack idea I made for LCLT a while back.

The idea was stacking hazards with chespin and tinkatink. Then you phase things around with resttalk mudbray.

https://pokepast.es/76b829c39fbcb266

HZorua is on the team to spin block. The combination of vullaby, tink, and hzorua makes clicking moves with mienfoo extremely difficult. Fake out and HJK are punished by zorua. Knock is punished by tink. U-turn is punished by vullaby.

The mienfoo on this team could be removed for snow shrew to help vs opposing hstack and tspikes. It’s worth noting this team does not have a grounded poison. Rest bray makes that less of an issue but it’s still something to think about.

Usually the way I pilot this team is to get rocks up as soon as possible. Then I’ll use chespin to get at least one, but hopefully three spikes. I’ll sack zorua to keep the hazards up vs spinners and then use Tera ghost bray to cheese through the rest of the opponents team with defense boots and rest recovery.

I don’t think this team is super serious but if you ever want a break from standard and want to try something new, this hazard stack balance is a nice change of pace.

Going to post 2 of my favorite shitmon teams that I used primarily to ladder for LCLT and other tours around the same time:

https://pokepast.es/c20e7980a867bde9
I think Slowpoke being able to reliably answer ground types while not allowing most other mons (not named Chinchou LOL) free entry with T-Wave. Glimm here is mainly a holdover from not wanting to hard lose to NP Vull because ppl were spamming jank HO, can really be replaced w any vull switch in.

https://pokepast.es/1fb349dc57f2ee4b
Idea here is that if you're building such a passive core you don't really need Foo defensively, so you can afford to run scarf. As a sidenote, when youre using Chespin, you need to play very proactively. Roar is a good choice to get chip on Vull, but for this team I opted with Drain Punch to sting A-Shrew as otherwise it can be very scary for the team to deal with. If anyone remembers, this is the team I used vs freezai in open where I missed hjk last turn lol

hey lc

it feels like this thread was made for me. Finally I have a place to dump all my meh but interesting teams.

:shellder::cottonee::tinkatink::koffing::trapinch::zorua-hisui:

The idea is to use the back 5 pokemon to check the opponent's Shellder answers. then, use Cottonee to bait in Foongus. sack Cottonee to get Tera Poison Overcoat Shellder in. You can Shell Smash twice, because opp. will not expect that you can wall their Foongus with Shellder. Because there is no Skill Link, I opted to run special Shellder.

This team is hard to use because it is unorthodox, so it may take practice to understand. Good luck trying it out!

:Vullaby::Tinkatink::Zorua-Hisui::Oddish::Diglett-alola::torchic:

Sun is not dead. Its just bad. Oddish instead of Bulbasaur. I'm coining the top 3 as the vullgaze core, named after my highest rated ladder alt.

:vullaby::poliwag::elekid::mudbray::snover::mienfoo:

This one is a rain team loosely inspired by RggV's iconic Mudsdale Politoed Helioptile team known as horse rain. featuring Loaded Dice Snover, Rain Dance Mienfoo and Counter Bray

:vullaby::shellder::elekid::mudbray::bulbasaur::mienfoo:

The concept is simple. Def. Bulbasaur over Foongus on a Mudbray balanced. This could probably be a sample team but I know yall hate trying new foods.

:mienfoo::nosepass::stunky::snubbull::toedscool::vullaby:

NOSEPASS is the most bulkiest pokemon ever. Here it is used as a Pivot with rocks. This is a perfect example of how to use Snubbull and Hone Claws Mienfoo

:axew::vullaby::gothita::ekans::chespin::tinkatink:

This one is really intricate and cool. The engine of offense is Rivalry Axew to threaten Vull and Tink, paired with ATTRACT VULLABY :D. Given proper positioning, with this core you can have favorable interactions against both sexes of pokemon.

:mienfoo::vullaby::mudbray::glimmet::bulbasaur::poliwag:
:mienfoo::vullaby::mudbray::glimmet::bulbasaur::poliwag:
coming soon

Someone should pin this thread.

Thanks for playing LC!

Well i just wanted to share this team i made arround slow sweepers. Honestly i thought it wasnt that good but i made it to 1400 without almost losing so i guess its not that bad.

https://pokepast.es/cf3ff14a9f2f0bc0

I started the team with Bulk up timburr and rest talk mudbray, two really underrated mons that can win games on their own if the team is weakened. Nothing new with their sets, but timburr is really specially bulky since he doesnt really need much attack investment having bulk up and iron fist and it feels really good when he lives a special attack that would ko standard timburr.

Chinchou helps with volt switch and random scald burns to help timburr and bray. Tinkatink spreads para and hazzards and can remove eviolites. Grookey can do massive damage with max attack adamant nature wood hammer and sets grassy terrain to support all the team (Mudbray runs high horsepower instead of eq). Finally i added choice scarf overcoat vullaby to destroy mienfoo leads and fully counter foongus wich can be a problem for this team. Firstly i went with roost but i changed it for defog because i was cooked by a hazzard stack team.

This team is not perfect but can be really good if you know how to use it. If you try it and you know any way of improving it let me know. Thx for reading and i hope you have a beautiful day!
