SORRY NOT SORRY (Dragonite) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch / Earth

dragonite has been known this generation for its deadly sweeping prowess with its new powerful tera normal + espeed combination, a threat all good teams should be prepared for, and Amoonguss can wall it pretty handily with spore to prevent boosting and clear smog to wash away any boosts to allow itself to wall easier. Unfortunately for Amoonguss it did not prepare for this set. dragonite enters the field and sets up a ddance as your opponent switches to their amoon thinking it can wall, dnite will set up a sub on the incoming spore “well” thinks your opp “I’m fucked”… and fucked you are my dear opponent as my dnite will tera to avoid sludge bomb breaking sub and dance to its hearts content

again this works even if dnite has to enter on amoonguss because it will still set up sub (tera) and ddance until +6

tldr: sub -> tera -> mash ddance -> sweep

no calcs fire punch beyond kills at +6 and claw kills if they predict fire punch and tera

Quaquaval @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Jolly Nature
Tera-Type: Fighting
- Aqua Step
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- Swords Dance

Quaquaval; the Dancer Pokemon that the other guys would just love to wall. Amoonguss does a good job at this, resisting both of Quaq's STABs and hitting it hard with a super-effective Giga Drain. Amoon could also just as easily Clear Smog to delete all the boosts Quaq worked so hard to accumulate through Bulk Ups, Aqua Steps or Moxie, or even just Spore it and be done with it, if the Sleep Clause doesn't have anything to say about it. So we have the perfect lure. But how do we punish, you may ask? Well that's simple; just hit harder and faster.

Swords Dance gives Quaq a +2 boost in Attack instead of +1, in exchange for a Defense boost that was never gonna help Quaq against Amoon anyway, and Brave Bird absolutely destroys Amoon after it switches in... assuming it doesn't Tera immediately.

+2 252 Atk Quaquaval Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Amoonguss: 444-524 (102.7 - 121.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Of course, the immediate Tera play is something Amoon might do, as Swords Dance is usually paired with Ice Spinner which gets resisted. Still, more power aside, that's exactly why we use BB on Quaq instead; precisely because it doesn't get resisted, it deals just enough damage that even if it low-rolls and Amoon high-rolls with a Giga Drain for recovery, Close Combat will always be able to finish it off.

+2 252 Atk Quaquaval Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tera Water Amoonguss: 222-262 (51.3 - 60.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Tera Water Amoonguss Giga Drain vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Quaquaval: 180-212 (57.6 - 67.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (20.8 - 24.5% HP recovered)
+2 252 Atk Quaquaval Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tera Water Amoonguss: 333-393 (77 - 90.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The last ace this Quaq has up its sleeve is a Fighting Tera-type, just in case Amoon Clear Smogs instead and thinks it's safe. Remember the BB vs. Tera-Water calc above? Turns out that unboosted CC can do slightly more damage with the help of Tera-Fighting

252 Atk Tera Fighting Quaquaval Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Tera Water Amoonguss: 224-264 (51.8 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

fishy wishy (Alomomola) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Def / 216 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Protect
- Mirror Coat
- Whirlpool

soooo....

0 SpA Amoonguss Sludge Bomb vs. 40 HP / 216 SpD Tera Grass Alomomola: 222-264 (46.1 - 54.8%) -- 58.6% chance to 2HKO

Min damage amoonguss does is 222 which is more than half of amoonguss HP and you can just mirror coat it in return. If it decides to giga drain then its a :skull: moment but what amoonguss cannot resist the urge to sludge bomb the crap out of you. You just tera grass to escape the spore so why wouldn't they

Iron Valiant @ Life Orb / Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy / Psychic
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Zen Headbutt
- Spirit Break
- Close Combat

Iron valiant, one of the Mons that gets walled the hardest by amoon. But not today!

+2 252 Atk Life Orb Iron Valiant Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Amoonguss: 411-484 (95.1 - 112%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Basically a standard SD valiant. The most it can do to amoon is about 60% with knock off at +2, but then you reveal zen headbutt and kick it's... Butt? Idk...

Both lo and tera psychic works if you want to run booster energy for a faster sweeper, amoon will get cooked either way!

umbreon.gif

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize / Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD (don,t actually matter, Pdef Umbreon will work too).
Tera Type: Poison / Steel
Calm Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Foul Play
- Mean Look

Umbreon is a passive Mon, so Amoonguss can usually come on it to freely use Spore or switch out, gaining helth back with Regenerator. However, if Umbreon traps it with Mean Look and Teras, Amoonguss is dead. Its a very slow death, since Foul Play is a possible 5HKO and Amoonguss will get some health back with Giga Drain, but 24 Foul Play PPs are more than enough for this. The most damage Amoonguss will do to Umbreon is Rocky Helmet, which Umbreon can heal with Wish.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Band

Naive Nature
- Tera Blast
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
Wasn't letting me edit my previous reply.
Banded lando T is able to OHKO amoonguss with tera flying blast and 2hkosbwith eq.

Week 24
:Sv/dragonite:

Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
Dragonite, in simple terms, is too complicated to be defined in simple terms. Introduced in Generation 1, it has been an eminent part on the party of many skilled trainers across distant regions. We are already convinced of Dragonite's versatility over the course of many generations, in terms of being a decent but uncommon special attacker, a defensive tank, and the most common and dominant dragon dance sweeper. It does not need an introduction as to how efficient it is as a dragon dance marauder. As evident, the current set has no stab moves, yet it is no far from being as dominant as it is supposed to be. The combination of Earthquake + Fire Punch is deadly, dealing with the resistors of one another without a sweat. Extreme speed along with the attack boost provided with dragon dance, can be boosted further as a stab thanks to the terastalization mechanism. The speed boost gained from dragon dance helps it get into a speed tier higher than its base, granting more ferocity and agility, which is key to this deadly weapon. As far as we are concerned, we immediately need to find a way to lure it in with a bait and get it outside the ocean of the vicious.
Submissions are due at july 9th!

Oricorio-Sensu @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 104 Def / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Icy Wind
- Charm
- Roost
- Revelation Dance

Oriocorio sensu is naturally immune to two out of three attacks dragonite carries. That itself gives it a quite good start but its not just that. Access to a move that is 4x effectice to dragonite that two hit KO’s makes oricorio a solid answer to a big threat. Yes, fire punch still hits oricorio but once we give the bird 152 speed EVs to outspeed adamant dragonite without minding the DD speed boosts since we can just copy them, we can invest the remaining 104 EVs into defense to save it from being two hit KO’d with the help of roost. What if the dragonite Teras into normal? We would lose our quad hitting attack. Thats why we have revelation dance and tera fighting! Once we break dragonites multiscale, revelation dance can pick up the KO without being afraid. Thanks for reading. Now here are some calcs.

252+ SpA Tera Fighting Oricorio-Sensu Icy Wind vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 110-130 (34 - 40.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO|| Thats icy wind through multiscale

252+ SpA Tera Fighting Oricorio-Sensu Icy Wind vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragonite: 220-260 (68.1 - 80.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO|| And that’s without multiscale! You can see that even without the lowest rolls it kills easily.

252+ SpA Oricorio-Sensu Revelation Dance vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Tera Normal Dragonite: 133-157 (41.1 - 48.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO|| Revalation Dance through multiscale

252+ SpA Oricorio-Sensu Revelation Dance vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tera Normal Dragonite: 266-314 (82.3 - 97.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO|| And thats it!

Iron Moth @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 192 Def / 180 SpA / 132 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Agility
- Fiery Dance
- Dazzling Gleam
This set is able to effectively 2hko site with Tera fairy gleam, and even if it ddances on the first turn you are able to live a Tera normal extreme speed.
252 SpA Quark Drive Tera Fairy Iron Moth Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 180-213 (55.7 - 65.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
1 252+ Atk Tera Normal Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 192 Def Tera Fairy Iron Moth: 255-300 (84.7 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Imprison mew

:Sv/mew:

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Imprison
- Earthquake
- Ice Spinner

The set is simple: you click imprison, and all of a sudden they can't EQ or d-dance. While they're regretting they're life choices, you can DD into oblivion. EQ + ice spinner is just perfect coverage, and just so happens to be quad effective against d-nite. Also tera ghost blocks e-speed so....

heracross.gif

Heracross (F) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Trailblaze
- Rock Slide
- Megahorn
- Close Combat

Heracross is known for its powerful STAB moves, both of which are 120 BP, and its Guts ability to power them up even further. Being a bulky Flying type with Multiscale, Dragonite swaps into these moves quite easily. It would then proceed to do massive damage with Fire Punch and, if the burn hasn't killed Heracross by then, Extreme Speed can finish it off.

252+ Atk Dragonite Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heracross: 234-276 (77.7 - 91.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage
252+ Atk Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heracross: 124-147 (41.1 - 48.8%) -- 14.1% chance to 2HKO after burn damage

A rock move isn't particularly uncommon on Heracross but, thanks to Multiscale, Dragonite will always tank one hit and always KO in response. There is no incentive to Terastalise against Heracross, because that simply trades the possible rock move weakness for the guaranteed CC weakness. Not worth it. If Dragonite swaps into Heracross as it uses Trailblaze, this only reaffirms the idea that this Heracross doesn't have a rock move (Because almost all Guts Heracross run Swords Dance). However, Tera Rock suddenly turns the fire weakness into a resistance, and after breaking Multiscale with Trailblaze, Heracross can KO with a Rock Slide.

252+ Atk Dragonite Fire Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Rock Heracross: 58-69 (19.2 - 22.9%) -- 85.8% chance to 4HKO after burn damage
252+ Atk Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Rock Heracross: 62-73 (20.5 - 24.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after burn damage
252 Atk Guts Tera Rock Heracross Trailblaze vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Multiscale Dragonite: 10-12 (3 - 3.7%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Guts Tera Rock Heracross Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Dragonite: 372-440 (115.1 - 136.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Trailblaze is an important move because, if Heracross were to simply attack twice with Rock Slide, it could lose if Dragonite chose to Dragon Dance on turn 1, setting it up to KO with Earthquake. Dragon Dance and Fire Punch are the only realistic moves that Dragonite can make.

1. If Dragonite uses Dragon Dance as Heracross Tera Rocks and uses Trailblaze, Heracross is able to match the speed boost Dragonite gains. It will then outspeed and KO. Dragonite will not bother trying to Tera Normal E-Speed, because it's now a resisted move. Therefore, Dragonite goes down.

2. If Dragonite uses Fire Punch as Heracross Tera Rocks and uses Trailblaze, Heracross barely takes any damage and it simply KOs turn 2, risk free.

Whilst it's true that this strategy assumes the Dragonite will not Terastalise, this is a very reasonable condition considering Heracross has a Close Combat that can OHKO Tera Normal Dragonite, even through Multiscale.
252 Atk Guts Heracross Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Multiscale Tera Normal Dragonite: 297-351 (91.9 - 108.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

Furthermore, powering up your normal type move against a Rock type is not a worthy move. Dragonite is very unlikely to defensively Tera into a normal type, especially when Heracross is yet to reveal the rock move.

TLDR: Heracross is able to match Dragonite's speed boost as it breaks Multiscale, setting it up for an OHKO on turn 2. Tera Rock also turns Heracross' fire and flying weaknesses into resistances, and most rock resistances get smacked by CC

Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 16 HP/252 SpA/240 Spe
Timid Nature
Tera-Type: Ghost
- Magma Storm
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock

Originally, I was going to submit a Tera-Ice Hisuian Zoroark, that would use its Illusion ability to disguise itself as a mon that Dragonite would never want to Terastallize against, so that after Multiscale was broken it could claim the KO with Tera Blast or even Icy Wind. The problem I was having was finding suitable targets to disguise H-Roark as. I thought I finally found one in Heatran; it usually only runs its Fire STAB and Earth Power, offensive variants of it do exist, and it might opt to run Flamethrower for the accuracy over Magma Storm, which was good because H-Roark only knew the former. But then I ran the damage calcs. Turns out you need to slap some Specs on your H-Roark to even get close to similar damage output to Tran's Flamethrower, which defeats the purpose since the whole idea was to Flame to break Multiscale and immediately switch to the killing move.

252 SpA Life Orb Zoroark-Hisui Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 31-36 (9.5 - 11.1%) -- possible 9HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Zoroark-Hisui Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 35-42 (10.8 - 13%) -- possible 8HKO
252 SpA Heatran Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Multiscale Dragonite: 37-43 (11.4 - 13.3%) -- possible 8HKO

So yeah, that's why Tran's the star of this show instead all of a sudden. Magma Storm traps DNite in, Flash Fire grants Tran an immunity to Fire Punch, Tera-Ghost provides an immunity to ESpeed and an intact Air Balloon stops EQ from doing anything. The only real thing that stops this from being foolproof is Magma Storm itself; partly because it hits against a resistance, which doesn't help since it can only keep DNite trapped for 4-5 turns, but mostly because of its abysmal 75% accuracy. Although Magma still has to hit for the first time so that DNite can actually be trapped, Flash Cannon alleviates the reliance on any further accuracy hits at the very least, as well as inflicting more damage outright.

252 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragonite: 81-96 (25 - 29.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after trapping damage
252 SpA Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragonite: 132-156 (40.8 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

240 Speed EVs let a Timid Tran outspeed Adamant Baxcalibur and Great Tusk, and you don't need to run max Speed since nothing relevant sneaks in between the three of them; hence the 16 HP EVs for a small amount of extra survivability. And Tera-Ghost has some amount of merit to it outside of the DNite match-up, since it allows Tran to protect its own Rocks through spin-blocking.

leafeon.gif

Leafeon @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Wish
- Leaf Blade
- Protect
- Body Slam

Leafeon heals teammates with Wish + Protect. It looks like an easy target to set-up on. However, if Dragonite tries to set-up on Leafeon, a nasty surprise waits him. After Multiscale is broken, Leafeon can Tera and use Body Slam:

0 Atk Tera Normal Leafeon Body Slam vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tera Normal Dragonite: 103-123 (31.8 - 38%) -- 94.1% chance to 3HKO

Meanwhile, Dragonite does this with Tera Normal Espeed:

252+ Atk Tera Normal Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Tera Normal Leafeon: 88-105 (26.4 - 31.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
+1 252+ Atk Tera Normal Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Tera Normal Leafeon: 133-157 (39.9 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ Atk Tera Normal Dragonite Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Tera Normal Leafeon: 177-208 (53.1 - 62.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This means, that if Dragonite doesn,t boost, it can,t 3HKO, meaning Leafeon will be healing with Wish. If Dragonite does boost, Leafeon 3HKOs it before Dragonite 3HKOs Leafeon. The dragon is beaten by a PU Mon, Eeveelutions once again prevail.
