I thought we were avoiding Tera slashes on the victim of the week?
Yeah, this. The counters are slightly dependant on the tera. And also, only one of those tera options are good on the mon so its fine lol. Just try to send something that beats both (as most counters do).I thought we were avoiding Tera slashes on the victim of the week?
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that sinistcha doesn't beat ceruledge like you think it does...you're giving it two free turns to set up/kill your terrain setter all for them to either switch out and beat you next time or just power through you at +4. Sure, it works if everything is perfect but in most of, if not all cases this set would just lose anyways.Grassy Seed Sinistcha is my submission.
Bo's Special Tea (Sinistcha-Masterpiece) @Grassy Seed
Ability: Heatproof
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Matcha Gotcha
- Shadow Ball
- Strength Sap
I'm putting it in as a counter. Boil your Grassy Seed, stir some tea, since it does practically nothing to you. You don't even need to Tera if you catch it early, you burn your Seed (if you don't have anything on you, that works too) making you immune to Polt, and you literally heal from it. Crits are a thing, don't get cocky.
You can literally use Ceruledge as set up. The only "issue" is that you may have wanted to do some team softening to your opponent before revealing your bitter Tea all over, but that's life.
Getting the seed up is simple with how often Rillaboom is used, without an item you can out heal its offense, Sinistcha is a prime candidate for Tera to begin with, removing the ghost weakness, resisting Bitter Blade, and even without the boost (but losing the seed) you'll survive quite comfortably at +3 after you tera. You have Strength Sap, and can 2 shot it. ldeal circumstances would have you at +1 Def, Sp.Atk & Sp.Def.I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that sinistcha doesn't beat ceruledge like you think it does...you're giving it two free turns to set up/kill your terrain setter all for them to either switch out and beat you next time or just power through you at +4. try my modest LD set lolTried to figure out a Greninja set in time to replace Gliscor; the closest I got was Mystic Water/Choice Specs Battle Bond Greninja.
Anyway, my votes!
