Good old walling Zamazenta who packed the wrong EVs. You'll probably get a Defense drop from Crunch in the process, but that shouldn't stop you from setting up and eventually OHKOing.

Thunderbolt is the recommended move here, but Volt Switch can be used as pivoting move against a weakened Zamazenta, Tera Flying Blast cam be used against Zamazents if they already burnt their Tera. And Wildbolt Storm is not needed here because Thunderbolt does the job and I don't want unneeded misses.
+1 88 Def Zamazenta Body Press vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Thundurus-Therian: 105-124 (35.1 - 41.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

The safest play here is to take the Crunch, click Slack Off and follow with a Will-O-Wisp

Raging Bolt is a check to Zamazenta. With impressive bulk, bolt is able to always ko zama with two thunderbolts into a thunderclap, though there is a big chance that the two thunderbolts straight up ko zama, while zama is not able to do above 50% per body press hit. Tera fairy can completely nuetralise a zama, allowing bolt to set up on it if you want to.

Quagsire is a counter to zama. The 'cooler' version of dondozo, quagsire does not care about how defense boosts zama has acquired, it won't do much damage to quag. From this entry point, quagsire can toxic zama, putting it on a timer. If zama tries to tera steel on the toxic, then its just making itself weak to quagsire's earthquake instead, which will now 3hit ko zama. Quagsire can in the meantime while stalling zama out as it wittles away from toxic damage, with recover used every so often of course, set up hazards, either stealth rocks or spikes. Tera poison allows quagsire to wall zama even further, as its now at worst, 8hit ko'd by heavy slam.

Moltres walls even a fully boosted body press and threatens to cripple with a burn Thanks to Flame Body and Will-o-Wisp:

EVs: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- Bulk Up
- Poison Jab

Bulk Up Okidogi is an excellent counter to Zamazenta that's been seeing a fair bit of success recently; it resists Body Press and Crunch, it's naturally heavy so it takes very little from Heavy Slam, it can switch directly into an Iron Defense since it takes well below 50% from even a +3 Body Press and can reliably heal with Leftovers+Drain Punch while boosting up alongside Zama, and can even turn the tables on it with Tera Ghost, making Zamazenta scared shitless of it since Crunch doesn't even reliably 3HKO after Leftovers recovery and Zama has to rely on a lot of hax to even have a chance of breaking through Okidogi. Toxic Chain is technically better to beat this Zamazenta set, but Guard Dog's why this mon is ranked in OU and in the event that you're up against a version that runs Roar>Heavy Slam you wall that set even harder. You can even go for a ton of PhysDef investment to make sure Zama feels extra useless into it.

Sinistcha is a counter. It's immune to Body Press, and barring lucky Defense drops, Crunch and Heavy Slam don't do much on their own either. From there, Sinistcha can set up, using Strength Sap to keep itself alive and lower Zamazenta's damage output even further, eventually reaching a point where either STAB move (or just Shadow Ball if Zamazenta has Tera'd) can threaten a KO. The possibility of a random Matcha Gotcha burn is also nice.

This is a check not a counter. as you need to get in safely and tera-fairy. then you salt cure. and then big stall will hijack your opponents computer and the very very very slow salt cure chip will outdamage leftovers, and with recover, protect and leftovers, you will wait until zamazenta slowly dies to salt cure.
Curse is not necessary, but with it you will use the many turns it takes to kill zamazenta to get to +6.

Congratulations, your sets will be added to our Hall of Fame! This week, our threat is a former OU titan that fell from grace in generation 9, but has still found a small place in SV with the talents it never lost; though maybe a niche choice in our current metagame, one of my personal favourite picks for a fun time in the tier right now is Choice Specs Tornadus-T!

- Focus Blast / Knock Off
- U-turn

With a Choice Specs on and an additional boost from Tera Flying, Tornadus-T can feel impossible to switch into with devastating Hurricanes that rip through even Flying-type resistances with ease. Heat Wave shreds the few Steel-types that can stand up to it, while Focus Blast deals even more damage to Steel- and Rock-types that could otherwise handle its coverage at the expense of accuracy. Alternatively, Knock Off can be used as a utility option that makes it even harder to answer in practice than on paper, softening up answers that need to switch into it repeatedly because of Regenerator enhancing Tornadus-T's natural longevity. Finally, U-Turn lets Tornadus-T pivot in and out of the field with ease, taking advantage of its great Speed stat to threaten out slower foes and gain momentum on a predicted switch. Can anything take on this force of nature?

It's double paradox time!
Sandy Shocks is quite well known in UU. It has the highest Sp. Atk of all ground types available in gen 9 (only being surpassed by Bloodmoon Ursaluna), access to entry hazards, and a pivoting move which it gets STAB on.

Speaking of STAB, Thunderbolt fries Tornadus.

252 SpA Sandy Shocks Thunderbolt vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 306-362 (100.9 - 119.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Sandy Shocks Volt Switch vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 236-282 (77.8 - 93%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Sandy Shocks Power Gem vs. 16 HP / 0 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 182-216 (60 - 71.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Sandy Shocks Earth Power vs. Tornadus-Therian: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- possibly the worst move ever
Do note that Sandy Shocks is a check, as it can easily get overwhelmed by more high-power moves.

Scarlet and Violet sure knows how to minmax their Pokemon. Iron Boulder's 120 Attack, 124 Speed and a solid Sp. Def stat of 108 is more than enough to check Tornadus.

Sometimes it's funny to instantly OHKO a victim.

With its titanic special bulk, AV Hisuian-Goodra can shrug off Spec Torn-T's Hurricanes and Heat Waves with little trouble and can retaliate with powerful Draco Meteors for severe damage that either cleanly 2HKO Torn or outright OHKO if Rocks are up. The reason why this set is a not a clean counter is that Specs Focus Blast will 2HKO H-Goodra back and Goodra will either rely on Stealth Rock damage to pick up the OKHO to prevent eating 2 Focus Blasts in a row or Tera Flying to escape getting 2HKO'd by Focus Blast. Post Tera-Flying, Goodra can take Tornadus's attacks very well as even with Tornadus-T's Tera Flying Hurricane, it will only have a 3.9% chance to 2HKO. Despite not being a bullet-proof answer, AV Goodra is a solid measure to stopping Specs Torn-T from steam-rolling a team.

Lifted from the proflic Bellibolt Rain RMT and tweaked a bit to fit on non-rain teams, this set can beat Specs Torn-T without fail as Torn-T's most powerful option (Focus Blast or Tera-Flying Hurricane) will 3HKO at best and Bellibolt can fire back with either a Electromorphosis boosted Parabolic Charge which will heal off any damage Tornadus does or Volt Switch to bring in a key teamate safely. Either way, Specs Tornadus-T can't kill a healthy AV Bellibolt while Bellibolt will kill Torn back with the greatest of ease.
