Resource SV UU Creative and Underrated Sets

Muk-Alola @ Assault Vest
Ability: Poison Touch
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Gunk Shot
- Knock Off
- Drain Punch
- Fire Blast

Was bored... and i believe MUK-a can find itself a niche in the C tiers, it can wall latios who likely got better after the going of hoopa, checks greninja, sd zarude, thundy-t,dirge, enam, poltea, gard, etc and can slam gunk shot + knock which can be irritating for a lot of teams to deal with. Smth like idk rotom-w would not like taking a poison touch, and even if dirge tries to wisp its not going to go so well.

Fire blast hits coba, sciz, and skarm which allows it to lure in for smth in the back like SD zarude, exca, weavile, ogerpon-c, etc. I believe this set has potential as smth that can be used and while it kinda is clapped by exca and getting good reads, unfortunately being worn down by hazards, and kinda rng reliant on poison touch, i feel it has smth of worth in this tier

Empoleon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Competitive
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Flip Turn
- Roost

Another thing i tested a bit... claps latios, can make gren lock itself into a dark move otherwise it cannot hurt it, can chip down stuff like dirge and flip turn out vs it, and wall pecharunt and just take advantage of it. These are nice traits to have, dogi and hoopa going allows for mons like latios, gren, gard, dirge to be better and flip turn -> smth can also be fun esp since smth like rotom-w, slowking, and quaq like coming in on this

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 64 SpD / 192 Spe
Tera Type: Steel
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast / Heat Wave / Taunt
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Hurricane torn-t takes advantage of all the paralysis and hax that is thrown around the tier, hurricane allows it to capitalize off of the hax and go for maximum pain inflicted on the opponent. Is your opponent using dirge to setup? well para + fishing for confusion is going to be infuriating as hell, imagine just losing precious recovery turns as a result of that. Or stuff like on slowking making it so you are losing turns of slack off or opposing tornadus getting haxed by confusion. Sure the miss chance is brutal but fishing for the biscuit is always fun and getting the 30% confusion alongside paralysis has got to be super tilting

:sm/heatran:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect

Protect heatran is quite an interesting pokemon, with a lot of pokemon that can abuse slowking getting it chipped down isnt always so hard but even then, heatran dueling slowking is often it losing a lot of its health while you can use protect to safeguard yourself against stuff like banded meow, scout the low kick, and get extra hp. Getting the extra hp is quite huge as often times you are switching in on rocks and you may just eat chip, with this you can just heal up instead. In addition you get more chip on a lot of pokemon such as assault vest tornadus, rotom-wash, keldeo, etc. Its quite a good move and i feel its overlooked often times for taunt which i feel isnt that good, taunt into stuff like tornadus, gastrodon, slowking, and into teams that may not even have it is just... not interesting.

Flash fire is also something, with dirge becoming more popular and low kick meow kicking its jaw its sometimes just better off to rely on other methods than go for the dice roll (also its a nice way to bluff flame body). Skeledirge torch song into it and a powered up magma storm is gonna be hell for the opponent

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9uu-2362721643 - Protect heatran absolutely stopped the latios where i would have had to 50/50 draco / surf and scouting just shut down anything it wanted to do

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9uu-840548 - protect allowed me to scout low kick several times

Compared to taunt I feel protect is just something you value a lot more, slowking is scalding your ass regardless and often times its not worth the taunt to just lose 40-50% of your heatran and often times you can PP stall their recovery anyways or invite monsters like meow, zarude, lokix, ogerpon, etc

:sm/manaphy:

Manaphy @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Tera Type: Fairy / Steel / Flying
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tail Glow
- Scald
- Alluring Voice / Ice Beam
- Take Heart

This change is made to just be a fat killer, clodsire, pex, thunder wave slowking, cobalion, etc. WIth this you can take status and heal it off which can be a huge momentum loss for your opponent, the extra sp. def also saves your ass vs latios, tornadus-t, thundy-t, etc and can allow you to take an extra hit or two especially late game or to blow a whole in the opponent. A lot of the customization can be made for what u want to beat, as in ice beam helps vs clodsire while tera flying + take heart stone walls water absorb clodsire while saving ur butt into flower trick meow, power whip cornerstone, etc. Something like scald + alluring voice hits a lot of the metagame for neutral damage and against most meow fat teams this has good enough coverage

Donphan @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Rest
- Rapid Spin

Just kind of a funny Donphan set I've been using on Fat/Stall teams. Provides them with a form of removal that keeps their hazards intact, as Excadrill just does not feel good on these teams due to how hard it is to keep alive when used defensively. Problem with using drill for this role is that its lack of Knock Off and its FIghting weakness, meaning it is completely useless against the Skarmory that is quite popular rn. Now, that's not to say Donphan can reallly do much to Skarm, buuuuttt it can limit it to 1 hazard pretty effectively and Rest on it instead of just needing to run away. EV spread could be a lil optimized probably, I just did a jump point in Defense with Max HP and the rest dumped in Sp. Def. to help vs Thundurus. Good at keeping rocks off vs Coba long term, Rest means it can sit on Clodsire, and hazard setters other than Skarmory don't enjoy switching into the combination of Earthquake and Knock Off. Overall its a little specific but letting Fat not do Bootspam while also maintaining hazards is quite nice from experience.
