Weavile @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Triple Axel
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
In the light of Roaring Moon's departure, Weavile rises through the ranks in OU as a knockoff replacement! Combined with Swords Dance, Triple Axel and Knock Off help Weavile pressure the opposing team, with Triple Axel threatening Pokemon like Gliscor, Dragonite, and Great Tusk, while Knock Off scares threats like Gholdengo and Moltres, either directly or through item removal. Tera Ghost allows Weavile to phase through otherwise pesky Fighting-types and attacks from the likes of Zamazenta and Corviknight, as well as Extreme Speed from Dragonite. Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to sneak in and out with ease, especially useful on spikes stacking teams lacking hazard removal. Weavile pickpockets many of Roaring Moon's former teammates, especially working well with Ting-Lu and Pecharunt. Ting-Lu spreads the entry hazards for Weavile to both use for chip damage and enable with Knock Off, while Pecharunt scares threats that Weavile struggles against, such as Zamazenta and Clefable.
