This thread's purpose is to show creative and effective spreads outside of the typical standard ones with two maximum investment. Submissions can be from any Pokemon as long as they are ranked in the current Viability Rankings.

Rules:
1. Include a well written description when sharing spreads, if there is no description they will not be considered in being added to the compendium.
2. Reserving spreads are pointless here and should mostly be your own made spreads, however, if you made it with someone make sure to include them.
3. Only submit spreads in here or anything related to submitted spreads, anything unrelated would be deleted or ask in PMs for any questions or regards.
4. Do not submit a spread of just Max / 4 / Max which goes against this thread.
5. Please be respectful with others, feel free to add anything to submitted spreads or any questions regarding them.
6. Calcs aren't mandatory but can be nice to include in description.

When facing against Kyurem if you remove Choice Specs you have a slight chance from barely getting OHKO by Modest Ice Beam, really helpful as lead matchups at the start of games.

88 Speed hits 240 speed, outspeed Adamant Bisharp and everything below (if Black Glasses Bisharp SD's on the switch in, it's a 62% shot to be OHKO'd by +3 Sucker Punch, so some SpDef EVs can be shoved into Defense to dodge that, but if LO Bisharp becomes the standard then regular PhysDef Lando-T is superior). More speed to beat stuff like max Speed Heatran is totally valid too, but cutting from the SpDef investment kinda ruins the point of this as opposed to standard PhysDef Lando-T IMO.

Impish nature + 16 Defense (saves a few EVs compared to a +SpDef nature) is still enough to dodge the OHKO from CB Melmetal's Double Iron Bash after Intimidate, and also still check Garchomp/Zeraora quite well. 152 SpDef lets this set dodge the OHKO from Specs Dragapult's Draco Meteor, Specs Lele's Psychic, and the 2HKO from Specs Koko's Dazzling Gleam, Offensive Zapdos' Hurricane, and Mixed LO Garchomp/Dracozolt's Draco Meteor, and a bunch of other stuff.

Rocks over Protect for role compression, but Protect is REALLY nice for scouting out moves/potential choice-locked mons and grabbing that juicy Leftovers recovery which comes in handy quite a bit on the fatter builds that this kind of set would be best on IMO.

This investment is geared mostly toward alleviating pressure more directly against Kyurem, Dragapult, and Tapu Lele while having a backup option against both variants of Weavile. Defense was the primary stat that was invested into, optimized to live two back-to-back Knock Offs from Adamant Choice Band Weavile while assuring the survival of +2 Triple Axel after Stealth Rock damage. The rest goes into Special Defense to further alleviate pressure against Special wallbreakers, which is prominent against Kyurem's Freeze-Dry, Tapu Lele's Modest Specs Psychic, and Dragapult's Shadow Ball after Stealth Rock damage save for Special Defense drops. I considered Stealth Rock to be an active variable as Corviknight is a Pokemon that switches frequently into Stealth Rock given its role of hazard control in many archetypes.

The concept behind this spread was to play more into Corviknight's Special bulk, as generally, it's fairly straightforward to blanket check a lot of physical wallbreakers in the metagame outside of Urshifu-R and Weavile, but far more difficult to compress reliable answers to Special wallbreakers. Corviknight's standard 88 SpDef spread is a pretty easy go-to but has the ability to be overwhelmed fairly easily by most if not all Special wallbreakers with the added pressure of Stealth Rock and Urshifu-R/Kartana overload.

The given ev spread is to outrun timid Nidoking while maximizing spdef with the rest being dumped into hp. Toxic or rest depends on what you prefer. Surprisingly, this ev spread also lives Tornadus' hurricane after nasty plot while being able to handle offensive Volcarona quite nicely

Here's my favorite spread for SubDD Kyurem. 56 HP is for the 101HP Substitute, and in conjunction with 232 SpD, it brings uninvested Clef's Moonblast down to a 3HKO which makes Pressure stalling it much easier (56/232 is something from an old spread Jordy made). 128 Spe w/ Jolly gives you the jump on Zera after one DD, and the remainder is put into Atk to improve rolls with Icicle Spear.

SubDD Kyu is still very niche and you'd only want to use this set on semi-stall or some other team with a way to weaken/remove Steel-types, but on those teams it can PP stall a certain check then sweep.

The remainder gets dumped into Special Defense, but this spread is really situational and would recommend this if you want to catch Landorus-T immediately or your Ground immunity doesn't like switching into Landorus-T that much.

With defensive pokèmon in general, be aware if their speed tier is usually targeted by bulkier offensive mons, even if its very specific, because something as little as 8 evs can result in a huge difference.
28 Atk EVs ensure different things. 4 EVs -> Zeraora gets OHKOd in sand // 12 EVs -> 0/4 Excadrill gets OHKOd // 28 EVs -> Nidoking gets OHKOd (which is relevant since spdef hippo actually takes non-ice beam variant one quite nicely)
236 HP reach 416 which is a leftovers number (if the HP stat is a multiple of 16, it means that Leftovers will actually recover 1/16 of its HP - it's always slightly less than 1/16 otherwise because of approximation) and actually provides slightly better special bulk than going full HP and rest in spdef. If a defensive mon has high hp/low defense, prioritise defense EVs.

144 SpD makes it take 2 psychic from timid specs lele without rng. notably, it also takes two ice beams from modest specs kyurem after rocks if it has previously lost its boots.
116 Def Imphish accomplished all sorts of stuff: takes two unboosted eqs from leftovers chomp (85% of the time after rocks) and two plasma fists from zeraora after rocks, lives +2 knock from sd weavile and lives anything that cb rilla tries to throw at him. unfortunately, if scizor switches into a weavile that clicks sd, it has a very very very slim chance to lose the 1v1 because bullet punch doesn't ohko and +2 knock into +2 shard has a low chance to ko scizor. 128 Def Imphish prevents that, but you miss out on Lele's Psychic.

172 Special Defense lets you switch into Modest Kyurem's Ice moves even if you get knocked in case you do run boots, and also take two Hurricanes from Pivot Torandus-T. Speed lets be faster than Corviknight with no Speed investment with a neutral nature if you are running Knock Off, but drop speed and dump it into attack if you decided to go U-Turn with 30 Speed IVs for being slower than other Scizor. Attack investment is the main giveway to this set when paired with Metal Coat greatly increases the damage of Bullet Punch and favorable rolls against Calm Mind Clefable, Nidoking, SubRoost Kyurem, and Tornadus-T. This basically lets you be even more of a threat against offensive teams and an amazing win-condition.

The HP number is divisible by 16, meaning that Grassy Terrain and Leftovers recovery percentage is maximized, giving you the most bang for your buck. The Defense EVs and Impish nature make CB Urshifu's CC do 37.5% max, meaning it will never 3HKO Bulu outside of terrain. The SpDef EVs make it so that Boots Koko never 3HKOes with Dazzling Gleam outside of Grassy Terrain (another 37.5% max roll). Now, the speed EVs is where these two sets differ. 136 Spe always outspeeds Modest Magnezone, and you're doing 68.3% min with unboosted CC, so if Magnezone is chipped or you are at +2, that's a dead Magnezone. The spread on the right outspeeds 0 Speed Heatran, which is becoming increasingly common over speedy variants. That being said, I would creep at least a few points over to be safe (taking out of Attack), but I made this spread discussing Bulky Bulu for an analysis set with QC and speed creep isn't allowed on the Dex. Magma Storm does 96.4% max. Because of this, you can 1v1 Heatran without Crits, as Grassy Terrain and leftovers go before Magma Storm damage.

20- Spe to outspeed Toxapex. You don't need to outspeed CM Reuni/Hat without Clear Smog. If you want to run that, remove 4 EVs from Def and put them into Spe.
208 HP / 56 SpD is the most optimal combination of EVs to have max physical bulk while avoinding 3HKO from Koko's Gleam.
224+ Def for max physical bulk
Ice Beam would be for those Ground types.

I started with enough Special Attack EVs to OHKO Rillaboom with Flamethrower and 2HKO Specially Defensive Bulk Up Corviknight, which although not common, is embarrassing to lose against 1v1. It also has the benefit of 2HKOing Specially Defensive Heatran with Scorching Sands and OHKOing Volcarona with Hurricane assuming it hasn't started boosting yet. I personally run Toxic over Hurricane to put Volcarona on a timer assuming no Safeguard. The Special Defense EVs are there to ensure that Volcarona doesn't 2HKO with Psychic at +1. The Speed EVs are to outspeed Modest Aegislash and Adamant Bisharp. The rest of the EVs are thrown into HP and Defense to offer better protection against physical attackers like Kartana and Rillaboom.

It's not much, but it's a small insurance against Zeraora that doesn't cost you basically anything because Koko still outspeeds everything relevant (only losing speed ties against opposing Koko, but that's still decent for slower U-turn) and you don't lose attacking power.

A lot of people tend to run Max HP with their Bulkarona spreads, but I'd like to share this spread as it's in my opinion one of the more optimal ones out there, especially in comparison to pure Max Speed variants. You have enough speed to outspeed Zeraora at +1 after a Quiver Dance while naturally outpacing Modest Nidoking and Adamant Rillaboom. 16 Special Attack EVs guarantee the KO on Rillaboom with Flamethrower, and then the rest goes into Defense for emergency checking Rillaboom and Kartana while having the nifty ability to take on things like Buzzwole and Melmetal without really breaking too much of a sweat. It's a spread that isn't best as a solo check to these Pokemon but as an option to alleviate pressure for defensive teammates while expanding the pool of Pokemon that Volcarona can safely boost against.

For those of you wanting to try your hand at spreads, always use a boosting nature for the higher base stat. This is important to know, because with Natures, the boost is not a set amount. Instead, the stat gains are dependent on the base stat. This variant of Bulkarona is a great example of that; with this spread in particular, if you attempt to run Bold as your boosting nature, you end up with 198 vs Timid's 205 defense, with the exact same speed and a difference of 7 Defense, which can make a difference especially in matchups where you want just a bit of extra HP for assurance. spdef grounds are rising in popularity due to heatran and volcarona because they usually still retain usefulness against zeraora and enjoy having better matchup vs koko. hippo is no exception, as it's the only one with reliable recovery and decent bulk to withstand 2 specs pult's shadowballs without rng. since 252/252 is boring af and there's some cool interactions changes with small investments, here there are.
8 Speed outspeed pads melmetal, which might save you the game against one for such little investment.
With defensive pokèmon in general, be aware if their speed tier is usually targeted by bulkier offensive mons, even if its very specific, because something as little as 8 evs can result in a huge difference.
28 Atk EVs ensure different things. 4 EVs -> Zeraora gets OHKOd in sand // 12 EVs -> 0/4 Excadrill gets OHKOd // 28 EVs -> Nidoking gets OHKOd (which is relevant since spdef hippo actually takes non-ice beam variant one quite nicely)
236 HP reach 416 which is a leftovers number (if the HP stat is a multiple of 16, it means that Leftovers will actually recover 1/16 of its HP - it's always slightly less than 1/16 otherwise because of approximation) and actually provides slightly better special bulk than going full HP and rest in spdef. If a defensive mon has high hp/low defense, prioritise defense EVs. Conversely, if the defensive mon has low hp/high defense, prioritise HP EVs. This optimize your overall ability to take damage from that side of the spectrum.

144 SpD makes it take 2 psychic from timid specs lele without rng. notably, it also takes two ice beams from modest specs kyurem after rocks if it has previously lost its boots.
116 Def Imphish accomplished all sorts of stuff: takes two unboosted eqs from leftovers chomp (85% of the time after rocks) and two plasma fists from zeraora after rocks, lives +2 knock from sd weavile and lives anything that cb rilla tries to throw at him. unfortunately, if scizor switches into a weavile that clicks sd, it has a very very very slim chance to lose the 1v1 because bullet punch doesn't ohko and +2 knock into +2 shard has a low chance to ko scizor. 128 Def Imphish prevents that, but you miss out on Lele's Psychic. Pick your poison.

88 Speed hits 240 speed, outspeed Adamant Bisharp and everything below (if Black Glasses Bisharp SD's on the switch in, it's a 62% shot to be OHKO'd by +3 Sucker Punch, so some SpDef EVs can be shoved into Defense to dodge that, but if LO Bisharp becomes the standard then regular PhysDef Lando-T is superior). More speed to beat stuff like max Speed Heatran is totally valid too, but cutting from the SpDef investment kinda ruins the point of this as opposed to standard PhysDef Lando-T IMO.

Impish nature + 16 Defense (saves a few EVs compared to a +SpDef nature) is still enough to dodge the OHKO from CB Melmetal's Double Iron Bash after Intimidate, and also still check Garchomp/Zeraora quite well. 152 SpDef lets this set dodge the OHKO from Specs Dragapult's Draco Meteor, Specs Lele's Psychic, and the 2HKO from Specs Koko's Dazzling Gleam, Offensive Zapdos' Hurricane, and Mixed LO Garchomp/Dracozolt's Draco Meteor, and a bunch of other stuff.

Rocks over Protect for role compression, but Protect is REALLY nice for scouting out moves/potential choice-locked mons and grabbing that juicy Leftovers recovery which comes in handy quite a bit on the fatter builds that this kind of set would be best on IMO.

AV Bisharp I first saw posted by SLDR, I changed the EVs a bit since Heatran is pretty well covered on my teams, so this spread hits 210 speed (just above Adamant Crawdaunt). This is a pretty good check to many special attackers like Dragapult/Tapu Lele/G-Slowking, and discourages Defog from Corviknight/Mandibuzz/Zapdos (dodges the 2HKO from Defensive Zapdos' Heat Wave most of the time while +2 Knock Off KO's after rocks [which isn't super uncommon if Zapdos comes in after having HDB removed earlier]). You also live one Specs Kyurem Earth Power (even Modest you live more than 90% of the time) from full too, which is nice.

This is a spread Finchinator made iirc and people keep asking what this all does when it comes to using my sample, but basically 172 Special Defense lets you switch into Modest Kyurem's Ice moves even if you get knocked in case you do run boots, and also take two Hurricanes from Pivot Torandus-T. Speed lets be faster than Corviknight with no Speed investment with a neutral nature if you are running Knock Off, but drop speed and dump it into attack if you decided to go U-Turn with 30 Speed IVs for being slower than other Scizor. Attack investment is the main giveway to this set when paired with Metal Coat greatly increases the damage of Bullet Punch and favorable rolls against Calm Mind Clefable, Nidoking, SubRoost Kyurem, and Tornadus-T. This basically lets you be even more of a threat against offensive teams and an amazing win-condition.

Curriosity made this spread, so there's a lot of investment into Defense letting you avoid getting OHKO from defensive Landorus-T with no hazards up in the field, and with the Special Attack is enough investment to OHKO no Special Defense investment Landorus-T with Ice Beam. The remainder gets dumped into Special Defense, but this spread is really situational and would recommend this if you want to catch Landorus-T immediately or your Ground immunity doesn't like switching into Landorus-T that much.

For the Scizor spread, yeah this looks solid I don't think I need to look for an alternative, although I want to give my own imput about it: I would run this more offensive spread with Metal Coat ONLY, to be a better check to Weavile since only with Metal Coat Scizor has that extra power to always OHKO Weavile with Bullet Punch from full. Also, as you said, Metal Coat gives it the ability to 2HKO Unaware Clef. If I were to run HDB, I would just use my bulkier Scizor spread (or another if someone's got a better one than mine).

Especially for the former two Clefable runs a specially defensive spread and after a Calm Mind Flash Cannon-Heatran has no chance to bypass Clefable at all. Therefore Heavy Slam is the superior option. :)

That was my initial thought as well, but I didn't say anything about it since the dex spread "just" lists 56spd+ on the utility set (most common one afaik), which still has a very high chance of being 2hkod by Flash Cannon. It's good to know that lately people invest more into SpD though, so thank you to you as well :D

This more Specially-oriented Corviknight spread is one I recently concocted (inspired by Baloor's reinvention of a Corviknight spread I made a little while ago) that is fairly good as an option for Buzzwole or Toxapex balances and Tapu Fini offenses. This investment is geared mostly toward alleviating pressure more directly against Kyurem, Dragapult, and Tapu Lele while having a backup option against both variants of Weavile. Defense was the primary stat that was invested into, optimized to live two back-to-back Knock Offs from Adamant Choice Band Weavile while assuring the survival of +2 Triple Axel after Stealth Rock damage. The rest goes into Special Defense to further alleviate pressure against Special wallbreakers, which is prominent against Kyurem's Freeze-Dry, Tapu Lele's Modest Specs Psychic, and Dragapult's Shadow Ball after Stealth Rock damage save for Special Defense drops. I considered Stealth Rock to be an active variable as Corviknight is a Pokemon that switches frequently into Stealth Rock given its role of hazard control in many archetypes.

The concept behind this spread was to play more into Corviknight's Special bulk, as generally, it's fairly straightforward to blanket check a lot of physical wallbreakers in the metagame outside of Urshifu-R and Weavile, but far more difficult to compress reliable answers to Special wallbreakers. Corviknight's standard 88 SpDef spread is a pretty easy go-to but has the ability to be overwhelmed fairly easily by most if not all Special wallbreakers with the added pressure of Stealth Rock and Urshifu-R/Kartana overload.

Use this spread on teams that have options against Weavile and Urshifu, but need the added insurance against special wallbreakers that can't afford Slowking-Galar or standard Slowking. It alone is far less reliable against Urshifu and Weavile, especially given that it needs Leftovers to insure itself against many Special wallbreakers (as you can see from the calcs below), so having options to more readily cover those matchups saves Corviknight from overload in the long term against Special wallbreakers.

Like last time, I'd also like to give another tip for interested spread designers. Not only should you shoot for the optimal nature, but you should also consider practicality. You can have a feasible goal with your spreads, but if it does not consider game-flow or does not have a deliberate design, then it is almost always a waste of investment and waters down the Pokemon's role in a vacuum. Also, be sure to consider if the spread is reliable in the first place: always ask yourself how your spreads apply to games and not only what it can do, but how it interacts with ally Pokemon!

Ight I went a bit wild with this one, but the reasoning is that I wanted a bulkier spread for this specific Melmetal set. A simpler 252+ Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe spread is better if you want more immediate power. Anyway:
128+ Atk 2HKOs Abhi's 252 HP / 124 Def Toxapex from full HP (assuming no Black Sludge/item already Knocked Off). This is huge because it removes one of the main switchins for DIB+Toxic combination.

Basically for this guy I created a physically defensive spread and a specially defensive spread. Spdef handles fire types, grindy setup sweepers, pult to an extent and electrics. phys def softchecks ground types and handles zeraora a lot better.

Ight so SpD Gastro is really good rn because it is completely immune from hazards thanks to Boots+Sticky Hold and can handle big guns like Volcarona and Heatran, while softchecking the dangerous Specs Dragapult and the main electrics, Zeraora and Tapu Koko. Clear Smog is mandatory to achieve control over Volcarona and other threats like CM Fini or Clef. It has an incredible niche in being able to absolutely ruin typical Volcarona teammates like Trick Tapu Fini or AV Magnezone, completely blanking the entire core unless Volcarona is running Giga Drain.
24- Spe outspeeds Toxapex and CM Reuni/Hat to hit them with Earthquake and check them with Clear Smog, respectively. This is very key for teams that struggle with these more obscure but potentially dangerous threat. This small investment doesn't change anything on the special side but provide ensurance with the bonus of hitting Toxapex in case you need it.
232 HP / 252+ SpD maximise special bulk with the remaining EVs. Pretty simple honestly.

208 HP / 56 SpD is the most optimal combination of EVs to have max physical bulk while avoinding 3HKO from Koko's Gleam.
224+ Def for max physical bulk
