[SET COMMENTS]

Talonflame's niche comes from its Fire resistance, Steel resistance, access to Will-O-Wisp, and ability in Flame Body. Talonflame faces strict competition from Crobat and Noivern as fast Flying-type Pokemon, with Crobat having more useful defensive utility and Noivern being better offensively. However, Talonflame is able to check certain Steel-types such as Metagross, Durant, and Steelix well unlike its Flying-type competition. Talonflame is also able to stave off Fighting-types such as Mienshao and Heracross. Will-O-Wisp allows Talonflame to cripple common Flying-resistant Pokemon such as Diancie and Stakataka, Steel-types like Cobalion and Steelix, and setup sweepers like Swords Dance Doublade and Swords Dance Mimikyu. U-turn is helpful to keep momentum and bring in frailer wallbreakers and other teammates. Flare Blitz and Toxic can be run over Brave Bird and Will-O-Wisp to make Talonflame more immediately threatening to Steel-types and Electric-types; Toxic also makes it harder for Water-types to handle it. However, this leaves it without a move to hit Chandelure and is less threatening to Stakataka. Talonflame has the option to run a Swords Dance set with maximum Attack investment as well as Flare Blitz and Swords Dance over U-turn and Will-O-Wisp, which threatens common Flying-resistant Pokemon like Raikou and Steelix. Swords Dance Talonflame still struggles to break past most bulky Water- and Rock-types and loses immense utility by not having U-turn or Will-O-Wisp, however. 240 Speed EVs let Talonflame outspeed Ribombee. While an offensive EV spread is preferred, Talonflame can alternatively run a physically defensive EV spread of 16 HP / 252 Def / 240 Spe to more reliably check Mienshao, Durant, and Metagross, but it gives up the ability to guarantee a 2HKO on Chandelure.

Talonflame cannot do much to the many Rock- and Water-type Pokemon like Diancie, Milotic, and Gastrodon in the tier, so Celebi, Milotic, and Vileplume make good teammates that are able to switch in and threaten these Pokemon. Vileplume and Celebi are especially notable, as they also handle Electric-types that threaten Talonflame like Raikou and Xurkitree. Talonflame's ability to lure in Rock- and Water-types such as Stakataka, Diancie, and Milotic can give free switches to teammates like Golurk, Decidueye, and Virizion thanks to U-turn. Talonflame appreciates cleric support from Diancie, Vileplume, and Sylveon to reliably handle Toxic users such as Metagross and defensive Stakataka. Talonflame isn't a reliable Fighting-type check on its own, so Vileplume and Sylveon make good teammates for it that are able to reliably handle Mienshao. Knock Off can ruin Talonflame by removing its Heavy-Duty Boots, making it vulnerable to Stealth Rock; Knock Off absorbers like Cobalion, Vileplume, and Gastrodon can take Knock Off for Talonflame. Frailer wallbreakers like Life Orb Mienshao and Choice Band Golurk appreciate Talonflame's ability to easily bring them in with U-turn.

Talonflames Talonflame's niche as a defog user/pivot comes in its fire resistance, access to Will-O-wisp and flame body being a nice boon. comes as a Defog user and Pivot with a Fire resistance, access to Will-o-Wisp, and a useful ability in Flame Body. Talonflame is able to check many of the tiers tier's grass types Grass-types, pivot into many pokemon Pokemon lacking flying coverage in the tier drawing weaker moves to teammates or threatening a burn. appropriate coverage moves to hit it with, and threaten offensive threats such as Mienshao or Zarude with a burn. Its fighting Fighting resistance being useful in thwarting the many dangerous fighting types Fighting-types. Some rocks setters are deathly afraid of a burn and do not want to swap in. Talonflame is capable of threatening several of the tier's most prominent Stealth Rock setters with a burn, which dissuades them from switching in to Talonflame. Talonflames Talonflame's burn will first likely end up on a wall like Gastrodon, Milotic or a special attacker but even than then it can force wisp onto them chipping them down slowly likely being very helpful. Talonflames Talonflame's steel Steel resistance is also mildly useful in swaping into non head smash Steelix and non stone edge Stakataka to thwart them with a deadly will-o-wisp. as it enables Talonflame to switch in to Steelix lacking Head Smash and Stakataka lacking Stone Edge while threatening them with Will-O-Wisp. Talonflame can even live there respective rock moves given there running a defensive set and burned them. is also capable of taking one Rock-type attack from either of these two Pokemon provided they are running a defensive set, and can then retaliate with Will-O-Wisp. Talonflames fire resistance is useful in thwarting Darmanitan which this set is Evd to never be 2hkod by Darmanitan flare blitz while it will drop to rock slide. Talonflame's Fire resistance is also useful for thwarting Darmanitan lacking Rock Slide, as Flare Blitz will never 2HKO Talonflame from full and Talonflame can then either retaliate with Brave Bird or heal off all damage using Roost.

Talonflame spreading burn, checking many of the tiers grass types most notably Zarude whilst helping checking dangerous fighting types. a few teammates able to take advantage of these attributes are Dhelmise, Zarude, Celebi, Diancie, Rhyperior, Vileplume, and Golurk,. In terms of good teammates you would want a solid swap into the rock type and water type walls of the tier. Milotic, , Vileplume, roost Flygon, Celebi, Zarude, Dhelmise, Gastrodon.

Notable calculations regarding the Evs on this set you are as follows, never 2hkod by Zarude Darkest lariat, Never 2hkod by Darmanitan flare blitz, never ohkod by burned defensive Stakataka stone edge. never ohkod by Obstagoon facade, never ohkod by burned steelix head smash.
252 Atk Zarude Darkest Lariat vs. 88 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 129-153 (40.4 - 47.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Sheer Force Darmanitan Flare Blitz vs. 88 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 132-156 (41.3 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 Atk burned Stakataka Stone Edge vs. 88 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 266-314 (83.3 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Guts Obstagoon Facade (140 BP) vs. 88 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 261-307 (81.8 - 96.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk burned Steelix Head Smash vs. 88 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 186-220 (58.3 - 68.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Talonflames access to boosting moves and potential fire stab let it be a threatening wall breaker. Talonflame with Swords dance and its stab moves is a threatening wall breaker Talonflame is also able to find set up oppurtunity on a few RU staples being our grass types ,Stealth Rock Cobalion, Heracross, Mienshao. It is also still about just as useful defensively providing a swap into the grass types Talonflame is near helpless vs the rock types of the tier with Swords dance the waters checking it to, also Incineroar.. To Utilize Swords dance Talonflame have a swap into the rocks and a way of forcing them in and wearing them down. Flying rock and fire types like Diancie, Stakataka, Rhyperior, Volcanion, Incineroar, Togekiss, Crobat, Noivern ,are capable of forcing in bulky water and or rock types to land toxic vs or threaten directly like Swords Dance Rhyperior or Nasty plot Togekiss. Talonflame being able to threaten Steelix as a common Flying resist could be useful for teammates like Xurkitree, Togekiss, Noivern.

Taunt can force pokemon to attack talonflame thus activating flame body with repeated hits, Steelix being a good example of a mon to do this vs. Taunt Gives up the ability for Talonflame to threatan Cobalion, Raikou, Toxtricity, Xurkitree, but allows Talonflame to avoid toxic which is huge and beat a few pokemon it normally could not. Taunt can make Talonflame more prone to sweep due to not being hit by toxic especially in tandem with bulk up. Taunt is able to prevent toxic from non head smash Steelix Non stone edge stakataka, metagross, registeel.,non tri attack p2, Incineroar. If the opponent does have a rock or wall on the team that talonflame could not break through it can still remain more useful by preventing recovery stealth rocks toxic for its team.

Bulk up raising Talonflames defense is quite useful in a number of situations with bulk up your aiming more so to sweep. after 2 bulk ups you take a Obstagoon facade with ease, helps handle Reuniclus psyshock, live a Cobalion stone edge, stall out some diamond storm PP with that and roost, and more. Substitute can be used if you want to beat clear smog Gastrodon, prevent Seismitoad knock off, and potentially stall out the 8PP Stone edge/head smash of that pokemon than use sub Bulk up to beat them.

The 48 attack evs on these sets let you ohko Metagross at plus 2 With Flare blitz (if you dont have flare blitz than just go with the other EV spread) . your not 2hkod by Zarude Darkest lariat. only 2hkod by Darmanitan 2% of the time. Live an Obstagoon facade 93.7% of the time.

252 Atk Guts Obstagoon Facade (140 BP) vs. 40 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 261-307 (85 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Zarude Darkest Lariat vs. 40 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 129-153 (42 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Sheer Force Darmanitan Flare Blitz vs. 40 HP / 252 Def Talonflame: 132-156 (42.9 - 50.8%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO
Random grammar checks and some writing changes because I'm a big ol' nerd who likes to make sentences look good. This post looks pretty good! I might edit later and add more stuff depending on how much time I have.

hey Yourwelcomthank , good to see people getting involved with analysis writing!

just from a cursory glance, the format looks a bit different from other analyses in this forum; each set is longer than 2 paragraphs, and you write multiple sentences abt moves when one would often suffice. in addition, it mixes in the set details and team options, when those should be two separate paragraphs.

https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/gardevoir-done.3677271/
this is a good example of a basic mini analysis. in the first two sentences, summarize talonflame's role in the metagame, then spend the rest of the paragraph explaining how the set works. this should be very bare-bones, just say what the moves / item / evs do. don't bother explaining obvious things such as "a Jolly nature boosts speed", stick to the stuff that readers might be unsure about (such as "The 48 attack evs on these sets let you ohko Metagross at plus 2 With Flare blitz" -- that is good to explain!)

the second paragraph should list teammates that partner well with Talonflame and explanations of how they help it.

https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/analysis-format.3676061/
this is the explicit example of our analysis format, make sure to carefully follow it. syntax such as "nature: Jolly Nature" is incorrect

thanks and have a good day! please tag me or post in the RU Discord when you have updated this to the proper format. feel free to reach out with questions after you have tried to get the format right; I can help you if needed, but most of this should be explained in the two links i have provided.

[SET COMMENTS]

Talonflame's niche as a defog user or pivot comes in its fire resistance, access to Will-O-Wisp, and Flame Body being a nice boon. These advanatages (typo) as a defog user or pivot are important as to not be using a worse Crobat. (i would reword the previous sentence to more say "tflame faces heavy competition from noivern and crobat as a fast flying) Talonflame is able to check many of the tier's grass types, pivot into many Pokémon lacking appropriate coverage drawing weaker moves to teammates or threatening a Will-O-Wisp (this wording is a bit weird). It's fighting resistance being useful in thwarting the many dangerous fighting types of the tier. Talonflame's access to defog and Will-O-Wisp means one of 2 things will Likely happen. A successful Defog or Will-O-Wisp (this is also a bit weird, reword). Even Stealth rocks setters like Diancie or Seismitoad dont like Leftovers recovery nullified. This sets EVs do as follows, never 2hkod by Zarude Darkest lariat, Never 2hkod by Darmanitan Flare Blitz, never ohkod by burned defensive Stakataka Stone Edge. never ohkod by Obstagoon Facade, never ohkod by burned Steelix Head Smash, Talonflame is EVd to be faster than Raikou and Starmie. rewrite this in order to fit the new spreads

In terms of necessary teammates you would want a solid swap into the rock types and water type walls of the tier. Milotic, (commas),Vileplume, Celebi are a few. Electric types do threaten it badly so you'd want a check/Counter to those, mostly Ground and Grass types a few being, Seismitoad, Roserade, Steelix. Teammates able to take advantage of Talonflame's ability to check grass types mainly Zarude are appreciated by Pokémon Such as Dhelmise, Rhyperior, Raikou. Talonflames ablity to force in rock types/water like Stakataka ,Milotic, is abused by teammates such as Grass types Rhyperior, and Golurk. Talonflame also has good Synergy with the Electrics Raikou, Toxtricity and Heavy Duty Boots Xurkitree. Both of these Pokémon can U-turn from their grass type checks into Talonflame. Xurkitree is able to immediately threaten its usual rock / water check except Steelix. Raikou Threatens Talonflame's usual checks except Seismitoad and Gastrodon. Toxtricity can come preferable with U-turn in on a bulky water and launch a Choice specs attack.
this paragraph is worded a bit weird, try to streamline the examples, for example,
In terms of necessary teammates you would want a solid swap into the rock types and water type walls of the tier. Milotic,Vileplume, Celebi are a few.
Milotic, Celebi, and Vileplume make good teammates as they're able to switch into Rock- and Water-types that switch into Talonflame.

I consulted with qc and we decided that set up talon didnt deserve its own full set and explanation, so instead we'd like you to make a mention of sd at the end of the first paragraph, make the changes (dm me on disc if you have any questions) and lmk and ill look over it and give qc.

Talonflame's niche comes in its Fire resistance, Steel resistance, access to Will-O-Wisp, and Flame Body. Talonflame faces strict competition from Crobat and Noivern as fast Flying Pokemon (this is too vague, add on to it "fast flying pokemon" isn't gonna cut it, maybe add like how their typing is better?). Talonflame is able to check certain Steel-types well unlike its Flying competition such as Metagross, Stealth Rock Cobalion, and Steelix. Talonflame is also able to check Zarude, and helps in staving off Fighting-types Mienshao and Heracross. ( what is the point of these two sentences? just explain the moves after u talk about its downsides, also noivern can check steel-types so that point isn't rlly true.)Talonflame's access to Will-O-Wisp allows it to threaten cripple ("threaten" means like with attacking moves, "cripple" means with hazards, status, etc etc. Atleast that how I think of it.) common Stealth Rock setters in Stakataka, and Cobalion, threatening these Stealth Rock setters helps it's ability to get a successful Defog (I would rather want to see how it can stop physical set up sweepers such a mimikyu, doublade, slurpuff, etc etc. with wisp). U-turn is helpful in keeping momentum and bringing in frailer wallbreakers like Choice Band Golurk and Life Orb Mienshao (specify, scarf shao aint a breaker, but LO is). Talonflame runs a Physically defensive spread which allows it to check Zarude and Metagross reliably. Talonflame is EVd to outspeed Noivern. (when u talk about evs it usually goes at the end of the paragraph so move to the end pls) Talonflame has the option to run a Swords Dance set with max Attack, Flare Blitz and Swords Dance over Defog and Will-O-Wisp, which threatens common flying resists such as in Raikou and Heavy-Duty Boots Xurkitree Metagross. (no metagross is ever staying / switching in on a talonflame)

Talonflame cannot do much to the many of the Rock and Water-type Pokemon on the tier like Rhyperior, Suicune, and Diancie so Celebi, Milotic, and Vileplume make good teammates able to switch in and threaten the these Pokemon. Vileplume and Celebi are especially notable as they also handle Electric-types that threaten Talonflame like Raikou and Xurkitree. Talonflames ability to force in Rock and Water such as Stakataka ,Rhyperior and Milotic, can give opportunity (typo) to teammates like Golurk, Zarude, and Virizion especially when running U-turn. Talonflame apprecaites (typo) cleric support from Diancie, Vileplume, and Sylveon to relaibly handle Toxic users such as Metagross and Defensive Stakataka. Talonflame isn't a reliable fighting check on its own so Vileplume and Sylveon make good teammates for it able to reliably handle Mienshao.

For teammates paragraph mention the following:
Mention knock off absorber or an extra defogger just in case if talon gets knocked off
Mention how it needs special walls as teammates since it has poor spdef.

The point is threatening common flying resists as an offensive flying-type with Flare blitz whether or not they would stay in changed it to Steelix cause i mention metagross a ton.
"( what is the point of these two sentences? just explain the moves after u talk about its downsides, also noivern can check steel-types so that point isn't rlly true.)"
I am explaining why Talonflame's advantage's are useful and its role also i just worded it as defensive check to steels.
asides these took most if not all of your other suggestions thank you Aquarius Ghost ❤

Talonflame's niche comes in its Fire resistance, Steel resistance, access to Will-O-Wisp, and Flame Body. Talonflame faces strict competition from Crobat and Noivern as fast Flying-type Pokemon, Crobat having more useful defensive utility and Noivern being better offensively. Talonflame is able to Defensively check certain Steel-types well unlike its Flying-type competition such as Metagross, Durant Lucario (Durant is one of main reasons you use it over Noivern/Crobat.), and Steelix. Talonflame is also able to check Zarude, and helps in staving off Fighting-types such as Mienshao and Heracross. Talonflame's access to Will-O-Wisp allows it to cripple common Stealth Rock setters in Stakataka, and Cobalion, threatening these Stealth Rock setters helps it's ability to get a successful Defog. (Because Defog will be unslashed mention instead how WoW cripples many Flying-types resistant Pokemon like Rhyperior and Diancie and helps with Steel-types. Will-O-Wisp is also useful to cripple set up sweepers like Dragon Dance Necrozma and Swords Dance Mimkyu. U-turn is helpful in keeping momentum and bringing in frailer wallbreakers like Choice Band Golurk and Life Orb Mienshao and other teammates (leave mentions of teammates to the team section.). (Here I would mention how Flare Blitz + Toxic can be used instead to be a more immediate threat to Steel-types, hits Electric-types, and make it harder for Water-types to deal with it, but leaves it without a move to hit Chandelure.) Talonflame has the option to run a Swords Dance set with max Attack, Flare Blitz and Swords Dance over Defog and Will-O-Wisp, which threatens common flying resists in Raikou and Steelix. (Mention some downsides to why SD Talonflame is generally not worth it.) Talonflame runs a Physically defensive spread which allows it to check Zarude and Metagross reliably. Talonflame is EVd to outspeed Noivern. (Mention here how an offensive spread is preferred but a defensive one can be used to better handle Zarude, Durant, and Metagross, but leaves it more vulnerable to threats like Chandelure, as you can no longer always 2HKO it with BB.)

Talonflame cannot do much to the many of the Rock- (AH) and Water-type Pokemon on in the tier like Rhyperior, Gastrodon Suicune (a burned Suicune is basically dead if it isn't RestTalk.), and Diancie so Celebi, Milotic, and Vileplume make good teammates able to switch in and threaten these Pokemon. Vileplume and Celebi are especially notable as they also handle Electric-types that threaten Talonflame like Raikou and Xurkitree. Talonflame's ability to force in Rock- (AH) and Water-types such as Stakataka, Rhyperior, (AC) and Milotic, can give free switches opportunity to teammates like Golurk, Zarude, and Virizion especially when running with U-turn. Talonflame appreciates cleric support from Diancie, Vileplume, and Sylveon to reliably handle Toxic users such as Metagross and defensive Defensive Stakataka. Talonflame isn't a reliable fighting Fighting-type check on its own so Vileplume and Sylveon make good teammates for it able to reliably handle Mienshao. Knock Off can ruin Talonflame by removing its Heavy-Duty Boots making it Stealth Rock vulnerable, Knock Off absorbers like Sylveon Cobalion, Vileplume, and Gastrodon can take Knock Off for Talonflame. Registeel, Diancie, and Snorlax can serve as Special walls that can make up for Talonflame's poor Special Defense.
(you mentioned how frailer wallbreakers appreciate Talonflame pivoting in the set section, so add it here instead.)

Some other changes I made. I changed mention of Necrozma as its usually lum or has misty support. changed it to Doubalde. Flare Blitz + Toxic isn't really less threatening to water-types as most water-types are much more afraid of Toxic then burn, if I am going to mention a downside it should probably be the lack of Will-O-Wisp.
