Tapu Koko is the fastest Pokemon on Fairy-type teams, which allows it to easily cripple leads with Taunt, act as a pivot, and constantly apply offensive pressure by forcing switches. Tapu Koko's ability summons Electric Terrain, which boosts Tapu Koko's Thunderbolt to let it hit any non-resistant foe for tons of damage, and Electric Terrain also prevents all grounded Pokemon from falling asleep. Tapu Koko can check the annoying Steel-types that its teammates struggle against, like Skarmory and Celesteela, with its strong STAB Thunderbolt. Taunt allows Tapu Koko to both stop foes from setting up Stealth Rock and prevent walls such as Chansey and Mega Venusaur from either recovering off damage or spreading status conditions. U-turn allows Tapu Koko to pivot out against Ground-type Pokemon to bring in a teammate that threatens them such as Azumarill and Tapu Bulu. Mega Diancie and Tapu Bulu are great partners for Tapu Koko, as the former helps break Poison-type checks such as Alolan Muk, and the latter helps break Ground-type checks such as Hippowdon, which would otherwise wall Tapu Koko.

Taunt allows Tapu Koko to not only stop lead Pokemon foes from setting up Stealth Rock with Taunt but can also prevent walls such as x and x from recovering off damage or spreading status conditions with Taunt. U-turn allows Tapu Koko a chance to pivot out against Ground-type Pokemon allowing it to bring a pokemon to threaten them such as Azumarill and Tapu Bulu. Mega Diancie makes a great partner for Tapu Koko as it can check Pokemon it struggles with such as Alolan Muk with Diamond Storm and can set Stealth Rock for Tapu Koko. Tapu Bulu can break Ground-type Pokemon such as Hippowdon and Seismitoad which completely otherwise wall Tapu Koko. (Combine the last two sentences as you're over the character limit) In return Tapu Koko can take on annoying Flying-type pokemon such as Celesteela and Skarmory for Tapu Bulu.
