Team "Don't Mess Up"

Basically, I've had this team sitting around for a while and thought really nothing of playing pokemon for quite some time. I played a while back and got interested again when Platinum came back. I'm some what of a noob to this whole posting thing as well as playing the game itself. Everything has to go like clockwork with this team otherwise it's total failure. Thanks for the rates!

Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide/Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Aerodactyl is a fast taunter, gets damage on and gets stealth rock up. There isn't a massive amount to be said about this. It beats many common leads, especially Azelf and the rare, oddball Smeargle leads. I don't know how essential getting stealth rock up is for this team and I don't know how many more kills this will net. I never really use Rock Slide except for the rare Yanmega lead or something of that nature.

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Baton Pass
- Taunt
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance

With this baton-passing spread I worry that Gliscor lacks the bulk it really needs to last the entire game. Basically, when Gliscor goes down, the team goes down. I really need this guy to survive the entire match. Any alternate spreads that can be suggested to improve his longevity would be awesome.

Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/226 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Superpower/Brick Break
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch

Scizor reaches almost 600 attack with this spread. I have 226 speed to beat out adamant TTar and basically it serves as a beater and if all else fails, something to revenge and bail my ass out. I’m not too comfortable with the idea of an SD Scizor because I really don’t want to give the extra turn for setup away.

Uxie @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/96 Def/160 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Knock Off

Knock off is a filler for this moveset and any other proposed move would be more than welcome, I really don’t know what to put. The U-turn and dual screening is basically locked in. Advice regarding nature or EV’s would be appreciated but the spread basically makes him very balanced both specially and physically.

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/96 SDef
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Reflect
- Explosion
- Light Screen
- Earthquake

I really don’t like Bronzong for this team, on the other hand, he’s an extremely sturdy dual screener that offers a free switch and gives some very useful resistances. I need some advice as to a good spread for him. The current spread is straight out of the analysis.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 152 HP/252 Atk/104 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang

Gyarados takes it home in this case. He doesn’t particularly mind taking SR on the way in as he should have +2 speed and attack, allowing him to sweep while he gets leftover recovery. I kinda bastardized a bulkdos EV spread but I don’t know if this is the best in order to optimize both defenses. I need him to be strong enough to take Scizor and Lucario priority moves that have become so common in this metagame.

Threats:

This team really doesn’t deal particularly well with status getting thrown around, thus the three taunt users. As talked about before, Scizor is particularly cruel to this team in either swords dance of choice band variants. Vaporeon has been a problem because of how it deals with Gyarados. Zapdos is also a bit of a difficulty.

Just noticed something, all your team is physical. You said you had Scizor problems so replace Uxie w/ Zapdos w/ Heat Wave as you already have a U Turner and Dual Screener.

use Yache Berry on Gliscor so you don't lose to some bullshit ice shard in case you don't get the screens up.

dual screen --> baton pass is certainly a viable strategy, but as you said, once gliscor goes down you're up a creek without a paddle.

now, gyarados can somewhat make use of the screens, but with zapdos being not-so-nice to the team, I really think that a subddtar would benefit you more. with screens up, he usually gets multiple dds in and manages to be behind a sub, which is cool. but what makes him extra appealing on this team is that basically with screens, you can set up on vaporeon and zapdos (and basically anything else with special moves) who otherwise give you trouble, as with light screen they are struggling to even break your subs. additionally, he allows gliscor random free turns to sand veil.

now, with uxie already setting up long-lasting screens, I really think that maybe leftovers are a better option on bronzong, since mamo does a number to you, and you want zong to be able to beat him all the time.

at this point, you've got a fairly reliable team, able to function fairly well with or without screens. but if something sets up on you or some obscure threat falls through the cracks, you basically lose. if you switched scizor, who doesn't do you too much, with a scarftran, you're now able to tie up the loose ends, killing things like skymin and scizor, and can also come in lots of times with his resistances and bulk, which is only augmented by the screens.

at this point, no big threats really crap all over you, and if gliscor dies you still have plenty of ways to win. I think that my suggestions, for those reasons, are worth testing at least. good luck.
