Tyranitar can restart the sand if it stops for some reason, and he also manages to 1-2hko a lot of pokemon with his massive attack stat + CB.
Sedge is for STAB, EQ is good coverage with Sedge, and pursuit traps pokemon.Aqua tail is to deal with hippowdons and gliscor who try to stall and EQ me.

Standard Scarftran, flamethrower is prefferable as i use himmostly for late game, and revenge kills where it's lower Bp is ok.
