SUMMARY
Phew. That's all I can say. Building a team is generally hard enough but the hardness was just boosted by applying the TF2 classes to the Pokemon. Still, despite being challenging it was a very fun experience. So I had better get started with reviewing each team pairing:

The Scout and The Demoman

Gengar @ Life Orb
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Protect
Timid- 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Atk

Claydol @ Lum Berry
Earth Power
Ice Beam
Shadow Ball
Explosion
Relaxed- 252 HP, 178 Def, 80 Sp.Def

Gengar and Claydol make for an astounding opening duo. They can fire off some brilliantly rounded special attacks together if needed but the usual call of duty doesn't involve this.

First turn with these two is usually a blast. Literally. Gengar Protects to save himself damage which could cripple him for the later game. Claydol will then fire off an Explosion dealing massive damage to the enemy while taking one for the team. It's time to replace our fallen comrade...

The Engineer

(This was originally a Medicham. Retards, putting in that Medicham can learn Skill Swap.)

Alakazam @ Choice Scarf
Skill Swap
Psychic
Focus Blast
Trick
Timid- 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Atk

A max-Speed Alakazam, coupled with a Choice Scarf, cannot be beaten. It's IMPOSSIBLE. All this thing must do is Skill Swap Synchronize to make the yet-to-be-mentioned Slaking an unrivaled power in the play.

Normally after Claydol goes boom Alakazam would take his place and use Skill Swap on Gengar straight off the bat. However Gengar's not staying around. He's switching out to a purely powerful Pokemon...

The Heavy

Slaking @ Life Orb
Earthquake
Fire Punch
Return
Slack Off
Adamant- 252 Atk, 252 Speed

Ah, Slaking. He's one of the most impressive beings in the game. But Truant cripples him. Double Battles save him. Receiving Synchronize from Alakazam he is enabled to DESTROY at his full potential. Alakazam is also free to Skill Swap Truant to an opponent for fun.

Pretty simple tactic here: Deal maximum damage. If using Earthquake bring back in Gengar to avoid friendly fire. If your HP gets low you Slack Off some damage. Simple. But if Gengar gets busted, Alakazam gets psyched out and Slaking gets put six feet under you need a solution. And that solution is...

The Soldier and the Sniper

Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Belly Drum
Brick Break
Ice Punch
Waterfall
Adamant- 252 Atk, 252 Speed

Kingdra @ Razor Claw
Surf
Ice Beam
Dragon Pulse
Draco Meteor
Modest- 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Atk

Poliwrath has a fair bit of dependence on Kingdra. Poliwrath can Belly Drum and thanks to Water Absorb, he can receive a refreshing health boost while Kingdra causes chaos.

Again the tactic is Slaking-like. Maximum damage. The Special and Physical pairing means most walls are countered. Steelix can be crippled by Surf and Blissey hardly appreciates a Brick Break to the face.

EPILOGUE
Overall, making Team Forretress 2 was entertaining. The team works very well in the battles I've tested it in but maybe I was just playing weak saps who couldn't double battle for their lives.

Goin' for the World Championships this year!

Seriously I am not an expert double battler at all, but if you use explosion on turn 1 as you say you normally do, why not change claydol's nature to relaxed so its attack doesn't get cut?

LOL that is coooool. I, too, am not at all familiar with Double Battles, but this seems pretty potent. I can't think of a lot of ways that Alakazam could be screwed out of Skill Swapping Slaking, barring priority, so pretty impressive.

Im not very familiar with doubles battles too, although why Protect when using Explosion? It wont affect Gengar, anyway. If your Gengar has a few Speed issues than thats alright but I think using protect while you explode isnt really that smart, Like if there's a steel type out just FB it and Explosion + FC to a commonly used steel type.. Bronzong/Magnezone will always KO it.

The Protect is mainly for the VGC. The gap between Gengar's Speed and Claydol's Speed allows many Pokemon to screw up Gengar who I'd need later on in the game. There's only 4 Pokemon allowed so I need to keep Gengar alive.

Pretty much: Protect keeps the team going.
