Floatzel @ Focus Sash.
Adamant, Swift Swim.
6/252/x/x/x/252
Rain Dance
Waterfall
Taunt
Brick Break/ice fang (which one?)

My verrry underated lead. No matter what, you will get a rain dance in with focus sash. you can taunt predicting hypnosis/stealthrock etc. After rain dance, sweepp! nice attack and two weapons, this thing does me well.

kingdra.png

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Naive, Swift Swim.
0/168/0/252/0/88
Rain Dance
Draco Meteor
Ice Beam
Waterfall

Prob my most reliable sweeper. Come in when preferably RD is set up, then sweeep like a broom with both Attk and Spec Attk. After draco meteor can keep going with waterfall. RD waterfall is noice. Also can take a hit, which helps greatly.

gbs135.gif

Jolteon @ Petaya Berry.
Timid, Volt absorb
6 Hp,252 SpAttk, 252 Speed
Baton Pass
Hidden Power Ice
Sub
Thunder
Standard Jolteon. Preferaby comes in on a thunderbolt made on one of my water pokes, and either forces a switch and subs up or sweeps. When HP gets low, Petaya berry activates and gives jolt a spec. attack boost.

kappalores.gif

Ludicolo! @ Lefovers.
Calm, Swift Swim
204 HP, 104 Spe, 76 SpAttk, 124 SpDef
Rain Dance
Surf
Leech Seed
Grass Knot

Ludicolo, the Rain Man himself. Hes awesome. Sponge, Wall, whatever you call it, this guy does it to the max. With rain dance up hes a beast. Surf packs a punch, as does grass Knot, thinking about ice beam.. Leech Seeds to make switches/ slowly kill its prey. My MVP thus far

141.png

Kabutops @ Focus Sash
Adamant, Swift Swim.
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Swords Dance
Stone Edge
Waterfall
X-Scissor / Aqua Jet
Nice set from DragonKnight. swords dance garanteed with the focus sash, then sweep. not sure whether to have aqua jet or xscissor.

pokemon_gengarSprite.gif

Gengar @ Life Orb
Timid, Levitate
4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Speed
hypnosis
shadow ball
Thunderbolt/ HP Fire??
Focus Blast

My late game sweeper. With all of its resistances and immunities, come in on the popular EQ or close combat and preceed to sweep/ sleep opponents. The mariano rivera of my team.

Ok guys this is my idea of a rain dance team. Rip it apart if you like. Being as honored as I am to participate in a fourum filled with such great trainers, id like to see what the smogon community thinks. Thanks,

You may want Return>Crunch, as a Rain Boosted Waterfall will be hitting ghosts and psychics harder than Crunch. Water+Normal hits everything for neutral with the exception of Empoleon and Shedinja(there may be more I forgot). On the other hand, Brick Break may be needed as it hits aforementioned Empoleon if you really need coverage for that, tho typically normal+water will benefit more.

I believe Deoxys has Pressure-not Swift Swim.

Allright, first of all.. Why would Floatzel have any HP EVs when it packs Focus Sash anyway? If you want to make it Bulky, use Leftovers. If you want the Focus Sash, go for 6/252/x/x/x/252.

Besides all that, you dont have any good coverage. Where is your switch-in against Fighting attacks? You only have ONE Ground resist? And so on.

To beat this team, pass an Agility to SD Heracross and OHKO everything. Sorry to be rude, but you have to put more thought in this.

@ above: I think Thunder Fang could work. Deals good damage to stuff like Gyarados, and Water Types including Empoleon.

EDIT: I think Damp Rock only works on Pokemon who set up Rain Dance themself..

Im having a lot of problems with your Floatzel. It has 115 base speed, maxing it out... in the rain, with swift swim... its too much.

try this

Floatzel @ Life Orb/ Leftovers
Adamant - Swift Swim
72/252/64/104/16

Crunch
Rain Dance
Ice Fang
Waterfall

Rain dance gives you a free Agility boost and powers up your waterfall plus life orb. Ice fang for coverage and cruch for ghosts and anything else.

Kingdra is alright with me, Kabutops is also fine.

You can get rid of Magnezone because I dont think anyone is foolish enough to switch in a Skarmory on a rain dance team, full of powered up water attacks and speedy killers. If you want some coverage, go with Jolteon instead. It is really fast, poweful, can baton pass speed/subs, good thuderbolter/thunder and absorbs electric moves. Empoleon will think twice about switching in

Instead of deoxys, get a Gengar. Using an Uber on your team makes you look bad, you know? Gengar is very useful if played right and can take down many counters (which is why you had deoxys in the first place right?) It can Levitate, hit very hard on both sides on the spectrum (Physical and Special) and itself counter heracross (since someone already pointed out)

Other than that, I think you should be fine. If you are afraid of Empoleon coming in and ruining the fun, you have jolteon there...

Ludicolo is alright aswell.

Try testing it out and let me know how it goes.

sexy alejandro-

1. what is the spread you suggested on floatzel? you have one spot missing 72/252/64/104/16
does that go hp/attk/def/spattk/spDef/Speed? i think you mean to put 104 in spDef. is that right?
2. If i use Life orb on Floatzel, It wont be able to take a hit due to its crappy defenses. also, is that a spread for it to lead?
3. Deoxies-E is not an uber. Its OU. and yeah, ill try gengar and jolteon. thanks for your help so far guys.

Try this:

141.png

Kabutops @ Focus Sash
Adamant, Swift Swim.
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
Swords Dance
Stone Edge
Waterfall
X-Scissor / Aqua Jet

The focus sash will allow you a free SD. In the rain this makes tops deadly. I put Aqua Jet on there in case you would rather have a priority attack ( and works great as a revenge kill ). If the match is almost over this makes a powerful late game sweeper.

If you are feeling bad about 2 Sash users switch Floatzel to a Damp rock to take advantage of rain for an additional three turns.

Hey man, I looked up the floatzel I gave you and here is the spread.

72 HP / 252 Atk / 64 Def / 104 SpD / 16 Spe

I've used it as a lead before, and it does great. If you want it to lead better, invest more in HP and Def but still keep some attack EV's and with Life Orb you will be able to still hit hard (a powered up STAB, Life Orbed Waterfall is nothing to laugh at)

You can replace Crunch with Brick Break or Return if you want to diversify, but only battling will tell what your team could use the most.

I know Deoxys is OU, but it is still an Uber (atleast in my book) :D
I like the Gengar you have, I would leave thunderbolt for better type coverage... but in the unusual case where Kingdra is dead and Scarf Garchomp is in play, get Scarf Gar to deal with a speedy HP Ice, lol but Im sure that wont be the issue considering that Floazel, Kingdra and Kabutops will sweep most teams.

Here is my Jolteon

Jolteon @ Petaya Berry
Timid - Volt Absorb
EVs: HP 6/ Spec Attack 252/ Speed 252

- Thunderbolt/Thunder
- Thunderwave/ Substitute
- HP Ice
- Baton Pass

I like it to have Petaya Berry so that when it hits 1/4 of its HP... I can either sub up and pass a free special attack boost, or simply set itself up, and sweep with jolteon. Rain Dance is up, so Jolteon's hp wont chip away. Thunderwave is to cripple enemies and that sexy paralysis... even thought half your team will be incredibly fast after Rain Dance, its always good to keep your opponent on his/her toes.

Keep me updated on how your team goes

ok i wil alejandro thanks for the help

one thing: if i bulk Floatzel up instead of giving him a sash, will he be able to take hits? with the sash i get an automatic rain dance at the least.

If you bulk him up, im sure he could take a lot of neutral hits... but if you are still a bit concerned, then give him focus sash.

Either way, the best thing to do is... to go out there and battle. See if Floatzel works better for you the way you had it, if not then try out my Floatzel... tweak him as you like and if not, then we can think of a better lead to fit your team's needs

good luck
