TEAM GANTZ
Hello everyone. This is a RMT based on pokemon that I find fun to use in the current metagame. You smogon experts can probably see quite a few holes in this team. Since BW is comming out soon I figured I should try and get help on this team so I can get to competitive battles as soon as possible. Like the title suggests, I am very much a n00b at com.bat. Named team Gantz after my one of my favorite mangas.
Since I will be using this team in the games I try to keep in mind...
-The item clause (I fear this like the plague)
-No legendaries (too annoying to SR for)
-No Hidden Power (Too annoying to breed for)
-No dreamworld abilities.
These are pretty much the only rules I have. Feel free to suggest to switch out members, ect.

My leading role, my Kurono, whatever you want to call him. LO Starmie is my favorite water type. Great Boltbeam coverage + rapid spin. People normally run Hydro Pump, but I have the 20% chance of missing and Franky is too frail to take multiple hits. He can be the Kurono of the team, since he is the lead role.

Grass Weakness: Venusaur, Skarmory.
Dark Weakness: Zuruzukin, Skarmory.

Venusauurrr!!! I love you Venusaur. My favorite starter. If you have seen my RMTs before, you know I almost always have a Venusaur. Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, then Gigadrain or Sludge bomb. Either one. This set is good, but it gets walled by Heatran and most bulky steels. He is the Katou of my team. Why? Because Katou is my favorite character.
Team Synergy:
Flying: Skarmory.
Psychic: Zuruzukin, Skarmory.
Fire: Starmie, Shandera.
Ice: Starmie, Shandera, MAYBE Skarm.
Phantom (Shandera) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
The Nishi of my team. Why? Because Shandera is kinda creepy. Doesn't he look like he's ready to go on a killing spree? (Lol, SPOILER.) Anyways, Shandera is pretty good with a choice scarf. Shadow Ball & Flamethrower for STAB, Psychic for those fighting types he switches in on, and Energy Ball for those water types that like to wall him. Normally I hate choice items, but Phantom has mediocre speed...

Zuruzukin, the Oka Hachirou of my team. Oka Hachirou in the manga was one of the few Gantzers from Osaka to get 100 points like 8 times or something. He was decked out in all of this badass alien hunting gear, and since Zuruzukin is a complete bad ass I figured it fit. People tend to run Dragon Dance Zuru, but I looove my bulk up Zuru. I Bulk him up to the point where physical attacks can barely lay a scratch on him, rest off the damage he took, then attack with his nearly unresisted (sp?) Dark/Fighting STAB.

Fabio (Lickilicky) (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 116 HP / 140 Atk / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Power Whip
A lot of you may see this lickilicky and say, "lol what?" And I can't really blame you. This guy was NU for a long time, and I think still is in 4th gen... But he has one of the most versatile movepools. Plus he has plenty of bulk to take hits. Most people don't really know how to react to Fabio when I send him out on the field, which gives me the surprise factor. Boltbeam coverage is always a selling point, and flamethrower and power whip are always awesome for even more coverage. I'm still kind of iffy about using this guy... I wanted to use Garchomp in his place, but I'm not sure weather Garchomp is going to be banned or not any time soon. He can be the Nurarihyon alien from the Osaka mission, because he is sooo weird. xD

Razor (Skarmory) (M) @ Shed Shell
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd

- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
Skarmory, my favorite flying type. Everyone knows this Skarmory. Set up spikes on something that he can wall, like an Outrage locked dragon. Roost off hits, whirlwind to phaze, and Brave Bird just in case I get taunters. I hate Magnezone, so I kept a shed shell on him. I figured I could just heal off the hits he takes with roost. The Izumi of the team. Skarmory comes off to me as kind of an asshole who is only in it for himself... and that's basically what Izumi is. xD Only caring about the points.
