Team Hunters

The Team Closed in on the Infernape. "SWAMPERRRRRRRRRRRT!" The ground began to shake as the Infernape started stumbling. "keekekekke....." The Scizor laughed as it closed in, firing off bullet punches. The Infernape's wounds grew larger and larger. "ZAAAAAAARD!" The Charizard swooped down, continuely hitting off punches at the lonely infernape. The infernape started getting ahead, was he finnaly losing the hunters? "Not so fast my little prey.." A Sceptile appeared out of nowhere, stopping the infernape in it's tracks. It kicked it back, sending it flying. As the Infernape flew in the air, he felt knives jabbing in his back, he found multiple shards of ice jabbing him. 'INNFEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR- a Small black shape, known as a Weavile appeared, from above, he twisted around, his foot beggining to glow. 'LOOW KICK!' he drove his foot into the infernape's solarplex, driving him into the ground, 4 feet under. As the torment was over, he lay their helplessly. Something appeared. It had white fur, that glowed under the moonlight. A large black paw stepped on Infernape's chest. "Im afraid you haven't escaped The Hunters my friend. You won't get another chance, sorry." The horn of the absol glowed, flipping in the air, landing with a night slash, ending the Infernape's journey.

Yes I know, it's a dramatic entrance, and the team probably isn't even that good, but I just HAD to do that.. lol. I know present you...
Team Hunters
Absol___effect_test.jpg

This is Absol, what I based my team off of. He isn't the lead, but he just deserves to be put first.
Absol/LifeOrb/adamant
Ability: Super Luck
Moves: night slash, Sucker punch, swords dance, super power
He's pretty much some sort of godlyness. with Critical hits to blow, Im surprised he's in UU He's an attacker, a damage dealer, and a bloody wolf, who doesn't like wolfs? Although the speed stat practicaly kills it, the baton pass from scizor will get it out of that sticky situation. And Landing a 33%, if my calculations are correct with night slash, can bring down enemies pretty fast before they can counter.

Swampert/Adamant/Left overs/lead

Moves: earth quake, stealth rock, waterfall, ice beam
Ev's: 252 hp, 150 attack, 102 defence
Yes i know it isnt defence wise, I just thought it would be better sort of more balanced I mean cmon, it has a 110 base attack stat, It may not be the best, but you shouldn't throw it to waste. Plus you gotta admit, this cover's alot of leads.. Taking out gliscors, hippowdons, tyranitars, and it would fare well against a azelf...

Charizard/modest/@Life orb
Ev's: 144 hp, 252 atk, 112 speed.
moves
flare blitz/ fire punch
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
roost
Yes I know, its a NU pokemon, and I realize I don't have a spinner. I AM willing to replace this pokemon. Although, i Think it's quite good after the stealth rock..... problem. It's mostly used to take out all those pesky grass types, and the occasion jolteon if he can withstand a eletric attack. It's also a good sweeper on the side. earthquake takes care of ALOT of pokemon in the OU envirement, and It can stay in the battle for a while with roost. I dread to think what would happen with stealth rock, but It will still be in for atleast a turn.

Sceptile/timid/Life orb
Moves
Energy Ball
Focus Blast
Dragon Pulse
synthesis
Ev's: 252 sp. atk, 252 speed, 4 hp.
It's a quick sweeper, And it deserves a higher rank then UU. This thing is sweet, being a pretty fast pokemon. I say it's good at taking down sandstorm teams, and pretty much alot of stuff. water... ground.. and uh. .stuff. XP Although his defence stat is a problem.. That's where the speed comes in. With a healing move i call synthesis, It will stay in the battle for a while, and blast away at enemies. I would like to call it a sweeper... but i guess that's the category it would fall into.
02-scizor.jpg

Here's meh pal from meh ol bug catching days.
Scizor/Jolly/Leftovers/uber mega awesome baton passer
EV's: 252 def, 252 hp, 4 speed
Moves
Baton pass
Agility
Focus energy
Swords Dance
This is the ultimate baton passer. If you baton pass one focus energy, one agility, one swords dance, to an absol. That brings his speed over 500, and his ATTACK OVER 700. And, it brings his critical hit ratio to 25% WITHOUT A HIGH CRIT HIT RATIO MOVE. So as you can see, Although you may think this "Scizor as a mega baton passer? WHAT BULLOCK IS THIS? Scizor cannot be something as menial as a batton passer!" Well we'll see what you say when you see a absol charging at you with 5 critical hits in a row.
ShinyWeavile.png

Weavile laughs at you/adamant/choice scarf
Ev's: 252 speed, 252 atk, 4 hp.
Moves:
Return
Ice punch
Brick breack
Pursuit
he's a pokemon that gets in, and slams away. I ussualy will either baton pass to absol, or weavile, depending on the situation. He's a good poke, And the adamant nature increases attack, and the choice scarf makes up for it, with the already godly speed stat. Even though most people consider him weak, I believe his speed stat and fairly good move pool make up for it. He is used as a dragon sweeper kill. (SUPER COMMON, be the dragon sweepers).

Looked at it and I was shocked to see charizard! Get rid of him! He used to be the coolest poke eva but after stealth rock a nearly all the fire types are down the drain. Sorry but i think you should replace him with infernape he's way better. I used to have a sceptile that was really good and i didn't want rid of it so I'm not going to nag but you may or may not wat to replace it. But if you don't change him then change his item to choice specs and his synthesis to leaf storm. Make swampert relaxed since you have ice beam. To be honest there are alot more thing's you have to work on to be honest but i think i have covered some of them. Other people will point out more of your flaws probabley. So to sum this up i will rate this team a 2/10 since you have good pokemon but you have no idea how to use them. Sorry but this team is very unexperienced to me.

Hope i helped.

Thanks, I was really wanting to get rid of charizard, but i couldnt think of a poke, maybe instead of a fire type, possibly lucario? And did your sceptile work out for you in OU battles?

Hello Lolitar,

Immediately what I see thats a problem with your team is your fire, rock and fighting weakness, more specificly, infernape. He can sweep through a good portion of your team with Fire Blast/Flamethrower, Mach Punch/Vacuum Wave, Grassknot, Stone Edge etc. For this I suggest replacing Charizard with a Choice Scarf Heatran. An example set would be:

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EV's: 4 Atk / 252 Spa / 252 Spe
Nature: Naive ( +Spe, -SpD)
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Explosion
-Dragon Pulse

He can switch into fire attacks (from infernape or otherwise) with impunity thanks to its ability and OHKO with Earth Power. He also makes a potent revenge killer and counter for Scizor.

Speaking of Scizor I would take off Focus Energy and replace it with bullet punch, it defeats the purpose of using absol in the first place, and you need an attacking move on scizor.

And finally I would take that Choice Scarf off of Weavile and replace it with a Life Orb, or Expert Belt, he has plenty of speed already and you have Ice Shard for priority. I would also replace Return with Ice Shard, Pursuit with Night Slash, and Brick Break With Low Kick.

Thats all I can think of right now, I hope it helps.

-Digital

PS: Absol is missing his EV spread.

Seems to me that your team is all physical damage. Swampert and Skarmory are definitely a worry, in that they can Roar/Whirlwind away your build up with no threat from scizor (it definitely needs an attack move). Granted, Sceptile can handle the swampert threat, but if the mere threat of a Swampert is enough to make you switch to Sceptile, then it's already hosed your team. And if they do opt to use Roar, you won't end up with sceptile out.

Instead of Charizard, you could consider running a Heatran with HP grass. It KOs swampert, and makes your team less physical based, making walls less of a worry.

Also, focus energy is a bit much on scizor. Three turns to set up is just asking someone to switch in a heatran, a skarmory, a suicune, swampert etc etc. Give him an attack that can do some significant damage to these threats after an SD. Superpower maybe. Bullet punch is nice, but only if scizor itself is going to sweep.

Given that half your team baits fire moves right now, switching in the Heatran won't be too hard. Just don't switch him in on a fighting move aimed at Weavile.

Hello. Yah uh.. You may call it a pride thing Digital. But uh. is there anything else that could replace charizard? Call it stupid, but i really prefer not to use legendaries. Is there anything other than Heatran that can be used?

Yes there is,

You could try Salamence, he can take fire attacks pretty well, being resistant to them, and can hit hard from both ends of the attacking spectrum. An example would be:

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EV's: 16 Atk / 240 Spa / 252 Spe
Nature: Naive ( +Spe, -SpD)
-Fire Blast
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Draco Meteor

Alternatively you could try the bulkier Dragonite, or a different pokemon, its all up to you.
