Team Kritter (RU)

Welcome to SuperChillarmy's first RU RMT that is currently #64 and rising. Quite honestly, I read about the tier and thought "Woah, cool" and made this team. Now, I have tweaked it time and time again, but this is essentially my first RU team. I originally built it around a SD Sycther, but as youwill se in "Team Building", I altered it to be much much more effective. So without further ado, my Team Kritter!

Team Building
[Scyther]
So I decided to build my team around SD Sycther. He has decent coverage with Bug Bite, Aerial Ace, and Grick Break, and Technician LO proved to be fairly hard hitting.

[Scyther][Blastoise][Tangela]
I then decided on a defensive core of Blastoise and Tangela. Blastoise and Tangela have fairly good type synergy, and both has something invaluable to bring to the table. Blastoise can Rapid Spin away the incredibly common entry hazards and spread Toxic, while Tangela spreads sleep and subseeds. Tangela also walls Sharpedo (without Ice Beam).

[Regirock][Scyther][Blastoise][Tangela]
Regirock is a hard hittin', Stealth Rock layin', Toxic spreadin' tank of a lead. He checks every single Bug type in RU that doesn't possess HP Ground. And, as already described in my lame adjective phrases, he reliably lays down Stealth Rock, hits surprisingly hard with Stone Edge, and spreads Toxic very well.

[Regirock][Cofagrigus][Scyther][Blastoise][Tangela]
I was awfully surprised that Cofagrigus didn't make at least UU. He is an amazing Spin Blocker, has the best defensive stats of a ghost, and spreads Toxic extremely well.

[Regirock][Cofagrigus][Scyther][Blastoise][Tangela][Electivire]
Electivire is an amazing late game sweeper. He can switch in on an Electric attack and get a free boost, then sweep with the amazing coverage he possesses. He has pulled me out of a situation time and time again.

[Regirock][Cresselia][Scyther][Blastoise][Tangela][Electivire]
Cofagrigus just wasn't getting the job done. The lack of reliable recovery really, really hurt. And he didn't hit that hard either. Restalk Cresselia provided both of these, while still upholding the amazing defences I need.

[Regirock][Cresselia][Yanmega][Blastoise][Tangela][Electivire]
Scyther didn't hit as hard as I expected, and the final sweep my team earned for him was often dumped by a failed OHKO. I replaced Scyther with Yanmega, and haven't regretted it once. Its hard to stop Yanmega after +2 Speed, and anything yanmega can't take Electivire generally can.

Relic (Regirock) @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Regirock starts off my team as a complete boss who can shrug of super effective hits like a champ. With my spread, he reaches defences of 364/436/328, making him extremely hard to take down. He also has Clear Body, which is helpful against the uncommon Intimidate user. Toxic is for the residual damage, which is very helpful later on. Stealth Rock is very helpful with a bug infested metagame, and nobody sets it up better than Regirock. Stone Edge is for hitting Bugs, and hist everything hard anyways. Earthquake is for Electric types, which Regirock walls completely with this EV spread. The EV spread is to Max out Sp Defence, making Regirock as bulky as possible.

Lunah (Cresselia) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Ice Beam
- Sleep Talk

Cresselia, despite the bug ridden metagame of RU, is an amazing player. She has great bulk, and can hit hard too. I use a Restalk version, and she doesn't die easily. Calm Mind is to boost up my Sp Attack, allowing Cresselia to hit harder. No pokemon is immune to Ice beam, making it the best choice for a moveset with only one attack. Rest + Sleep Talk allow Cresselia to fully recover her HP every 3 turns, while still being able to attack. The EV spread is to maximize Cresselia's bulk and Sp Attack, amking her one tank of a pokemon.

Erica (Tangela) (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Giga Drain

Name after the grass gym leader, Tangela is extremely bulky. She doesn't get OHKO'd by anything. And any neutral hit won't 2HKO, either. She is an amazing underrated wall in RU, and should not be taken lightly. Sleep Powder is to scout for counters, and allows yanmega, Cresselia, or Regirock to set up. Tangela also runs SubSeed, and trolls pretty much everything it switches in on. Giga Drain is to make sure I'm not Taunt bait, and allows Tangela to recover even more HP.

Kritter (Yanmega) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Protect
- Substitute
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash

Here's the centerpiece of my team. Speed Boost Yanmega. What a beast! After getting to +2, he can troll entire teams with decent coverage. He is probably the best Bug type in RU, and will mostly likely be banned with the month. Protect + Substitute are guarenteed to start me off with +2, and Yanmega is amazing behind a Sub. Bug Buss hits insanely hard. Nuff said. Air Slash hits other Bugs hard, and often gets Yanmega some helpful flinch hax. The EVs are standard, but I use a Modest nature as at +2 I'm already outspeeding pretty much everything.

Turtle! (Blastoise) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 4 HP / 52 Def / 252 SAtk / 200 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
- Scald

Blastoise is my spinner, and he also spreads Toxic. In a metagame ridden with Stealth rock, and Yanmega as my centerpiece, Rapid Spin is a must. Toxic is for that key residual damage that dearly helps my two sweepers. Ice Beam+Scald are my attacking moves, and they both provide great coverage. Ice Beam is also a resort for Honchcrow. For the EVs, I got Blastoise's HP to 300, Maxxed out Sp Attack, and put the rest in defences.

ThunderTiger (Electivire) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Motor Drive
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- ThunderPunch
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- Cross Chop

Electivire is my late game sweeper, and boy he does it well. His moveset here hits everything in the metagame for neutral damage at least. ThunderPunch is my main means of attacking, and hits for huge damage. Fire punch hits Bug types, with are very common this Generation. Earthquake hits Electric types who Electivire switches into to get a free Speed boost. Cross Chop is mostly for coverage. The EV spread is for maximum hitting power and speed.

Thank you for reading this :3 Feel free to comment and criticize!

I would suggest HP Ground or maybe Fire over Substitute on Yanmega, mainly because Bug and Flying attacks are walled by Steel types. Also, Wild Charge is a stronger option over ThunderPunch on Electivire if you want more power, but it does have some recoil.

Awesome team, but i agree that hidden power ground/fire would be a better option to give Yanmega more move coverage (i have the same Yanmega, he is my favorite). Tangela is indeed a fantastic wall that is underrated, Regirock in my opinion is underrated as well, and Blastoise is an awesome utility Pokemon. All around, seems like a very balanced team with lots of power.

-Cresselia should have as much bulk as possible, I don't really like the fact it has max sp. atk

Honestly, thats the main comment I have, good team :)

Thank you for the rates! I changed Sub to HP Ground on Yanmega. I will also change Cresselia's spread to a more bulky one. Lets see some more rates people!

put the SPA evs into defence so it can take hits in that area, as enough calm minds will let it survive SPA attacks and hit hard still with no investment.

Okay, changes so far:

Yanmega= HP Ground > Sub
Cresselia= 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp Def

Still looking for more help! Should I perhaps change Regirock for Ryperior/Steelix?
