Team ParaTar! (The most annoying team in existance!)

Alright, so I saw a team on the RMT archive one day (Yesterday), and saw that it was based off paralyzing various pokemon for the purposes of setting up a machamp sweep. I decided to alter (Cannibilize) this idea, using ParaHax (Flinch + Paralyzis) and my FAVORITE defensive set, SubSeedCelebi, to induce paralyzis on the opponent's members (Giggity). But, machamp? Surely he won't do with the ghosts and pyschics running rampant! Hmmm... Can YOU think of a powerful, boosting wall, that resists ghost and pyschic? I sure can.

And so it was born.

Team ParaTar.

Now, let's take a look at my members (Giggity).

METAGROSS

Metagross.png

Metagross @ Lum Berry
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Sp.D
Jolly
Clear Body
-Bullet Punch
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Explosion

"wut? A metagross lead? n00b, all teh pr0z0rs use machamp lolol (BAN ME PLEASE)"
Guess what? My metagross sets up SR on Machamp, takes the Dynamicpunch, cures the confusion with Lum berry, and OHKO's it with explosion. Similar results are produced with Hippowdon, Gliscor, Heatran (Modest), and Azelf. Aerodactyl doesn't even get up SR sometimes, what with Bullet Punch 2HKOing with priority.

Full match-up list will be added later.

CELEBI
celebi.jpg

Celebi @ Leftovers
252 Spe/252 Hp/4 Sp.D
Jolly
Natural Cure
-Recover
-Leech Seed
-Thunderwave
-Substitute

Oh my god, this thing is a CRUEL BITCH. What happens is, as long as your name isn't Electivire, Jolteon, or a ground type, YOU WILL DIE. See, what I do is either switch him in once my Metagross has gone boom, and proceed to tank whatever hit they give me with my 404 HP, while paralyzing them. Once they are paralyzed, I can either substitute until they eventually fail to break it with an attack, or I can recover if their most damaging attack does less then 50% to my health. Once a substitute is up, I leech seed. While they're attempting to break my sub, I'm T-waving them in order not to waste PP for other moves. And eventually, they fall. If they switch, they just get leech seeded AND receive residual damage from SR. Most, however, do switch, leading to further paralyzis of their team. This guy is a BEAST. He helps paralyze a large part of their team, stalls, recovers his own HP, and substitutes. I don't think I'll be replacing him. (Considering replacing moveset for T-wave, Perish Song, Earth Power, Grass Knot, or some alternate set. Suggestions, anyone?)

TOGEKISS
Togekiss.png

Togekiss @ Leftovers
252 Spe/252 Sp.A/4 Def
Hasty
Serene Grace
-Aura sphere
-Air Slash
-Thunderwave
-Roost

More recovery, fun! In addition to killing stuff with a high Sp.Atk, paralyzing multiple opponents, ect, it also has good coverage with it's two powerful attacks, Air Slash has a 30% flinch chance. Multiply that by two, and you have a 60% chance of them not doing anything. But what about the other 40%? Well, there's a 25% chance that you'll be completely paralyzed. So, there's only a 30% chance of the opponent moving. Even if he does move, however, Roost is there for a reason.

JIRACHI
jirachi.jpg

Jirachi @ Iron Plate
252 Spe/252 Atk/4 Sp.D
Jolly
Serene Grace
-Body Slam
-Iron Head
-Zen Headbutt
-Fire Punch

Another total asshole to fight. This 'rachi is just a simple HaxRachi. Paralyze with T-wave, then proceed to Iron Head or Zen Headbutt accordingly, depending on their weakness. Ice punch is stuck on there for the occasional Gliscor/Dragonite/Flygon who thinks they're gonna get funny and try for a revenge kill. Fire Punch, however, would remove those pesky steels (AND SCIZOR, HALLEJUA!), as well as a random Weavile who wants to try and Pursuit me. Them scizors. Always causin' some trouble.

ROTOM-W
Rotom-W.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
252 Spe/252 Sp.A/4 Def
Timid
Levatate
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Trick

To be honest, I'm considering replacing this fella. He doesn't do anything Gengar can't do better, and honestly, I'm just biased to like gengar. He my bro. Ya man. But seriously, Gengar has a lot more options available to him, and I'm really thinking I should get rid of this dead weight. I'm considering a Pain Split variety, anyone know anything about them?
Currently, this guy provides a bit of trick support that I haven't found useful even once, as well as Revenging waters, flyings, ghosts, fightings, and pyschics.

TYRANITAR
tyranitar.png

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
252 Spe/252 Atk/4 Def
Jolly
Sand Stream
-Crunch
-Brick Break
-Stone Edge
-Dragon Dance

Ah, the star of the show. Simply put, this thing is amazing. It can take at least one hit from ANYTHING bar fighting, which even then is usually only a 2-3HKO. With almost all the opponent's members dead or paralyzed (One and the same, as far as Ttar is concerned) he can get off a Dragon Dance or two. Then, he proceeds to absolutely DECIMATE their team, with his MASSIVE attack, unrivaled speed (If you're paralyzed, you're pretty slow), and INSANELY powerful STAB moves. If you're in this position, it's good game for you.

Threat list will be posted tomorrow!

Please rate, I spent at least an hour and a half typing, editing, refining, and formatting this. At 11:30 at night.

Yeah Fire Punch will be better on Jirachi. It makes you not walled by steels bar heatran. Speaking of heatran looks like a threat to this team (correct me if i am wrong). Can scare away half of yor team and Tyranitar is your only safe switch in. Your gengar idea seems to help with this issue though as he can focus blast away the bastard.

or he could change Rotom-F to Rotom-W.

Rotom-W @Choice Scarf
Timid
252 SpD / 252 Def / 252 Spe
- Hydro Pump
- Shadowball
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Its a great revenge killer than Rotom-F, simply because of Hydro Pump. If faced against walls, it can also trick its scarf to them.

hey annoying team there ;) just a few things:

1-you have 3 t-wave users, after a while a smart opponent will predict a t-wave and switch a jolteon for free, and most likely threat them (togekiss i'm looking at you), and like you said on celebi description it also have problems with jolteon, for that reason a sugest replacing the togekiss set with the following:

Togekiss @ Leftovers
252 HP/188 Def/68 S.Def
Bold
Serene Grace
-Aura sphere
-Air Slash
-Body Slam
-Roost
* with this set you still can paralyse foes switch in most notable jolteon and electivire with the 60% chance thanks to Serene Grace, while retaining the annoying idea of the team, and the EV's will grant you a more overall survavility.

2-the current jirachi set it's not annoying enough, and you are not making use of all moveslots, so i suggest this set instead:

Jirachi @ Leftovers
jolly
164 HP / 168 Atk / 176 Speed
Substitute
T-wave
Iron Head
Fire punch

*This... is the most annoying pokemon to face.
Ever.
Anyways the idea is simple bring him and force the foe to switch, sub and deal according, is best leave him to t-wave on mid to late game to work on your tyranitar sweep. And it deals with scizor which is always good.

3-Other thing is, celebi, jirachi, metagross... You have a real big fire weakness, so maybe slash a bulky water somewhere?
I think it's your call to decide that but overall the usual Wish passer vaporeon may be a great idea since free recovers from wish to others poke's on your team are nice :)

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Bold
188 HP/ 252Def/ 68 S.Def
Wish
Surf
Protect
Hp Eletric/Toxic/Ice beam

*Wish and protect are self explanatory, Surf for Stab, the last slot is up to you, HP Eletric transforms him on a great gyara counter, while toxic have overall utility, note however that is counter productive with the paralyse idea of the team, but you can always toxic that flygon that may be troubling you. It maybe fits better on the slot of your current rotom, which i don't see doing much for the team anyways.

4-Last thing changes tyranitar item to babiri berry to resist bullet punch scizor, since you have not a sure fire counter nor way to deal with him, and put Fire punch instead of Brick break, for the very same scizor, and it gives you better OU coverage at the end.

Hope to Have helped and Good Luck.

Just a slight nitpick. Heatran's Fire Blast can OHKO Metagross. You have to switch out or run Occa Berry but that means giving up on beating Machamp. Use whichever item depending on which pokemon gives you more trouble.

Threats:
- LO Infernape/ SD Infernape
- LO Mixed Dragonite
- CB/SD Scizor
- Heatran

Hi there Asploder, nice team you got there which can be greatly improved. I'll start with minor nitpicks then go the to the main bit.

Nitpick#1: Jirachi doesn't need Iron plate, while it gives Iron head a bit more leverage it doesn't benefit the set as a whole. Instead give it this:

jirachi@expert belt
-Substitute
-Thunderwave
- Fire Punch
-Iron Head
same evs

I personally would always combine T-wave with substitute since it allows you to scout plus inflict status safely. Zen headbutt won't be missed as after you paralyse those pesky fire types they can be killed by your other pokemon who will outspeed.
Nitpick#2: While I admire your set for Celebi, it can be replaced with more efficient ones, which deem necessary for your team as they suffer from a great number of Pokemon.

Celebi@Leftovers
-Recover
-Grass knot
-Thunder Wave/Hidden Power Ice(To beat Dragonite's as well as flygon and hit other grass types for super effective)
- Earth power/Leech seed
252Sp.Att/252Speed/4Hp Jolly

Thunder wave isn't necessary since Jirachi will lure out fire types and paralyse them behind the substitute. The idea of making a good team is not to think narrow, yes 4/6 of your team carry T-wave but you have no synergy and the amount of threats is too much.

Don't switch Rotom for Gengar, Rotom should be your revenge killer and can cripple walls with trick. It also deals with Gyarados, a major annoyance to your team. Take out Thunderwave on Rotom and give it Will-o-wisp.

I agree with black cotton to add Vaporeon somewhere, Togekiss doesn't help your team fight it's weaknesses, instead it piles up more. Change it out for Vaporeon with the set Black cotton mentioned.

Finally your team is quite weak to physical based sweepers so keep in mind that Explosion on Metagross isn't probably the best option, he could be great for revenge killing and take hits from Scarf ttar. If you feel up to it replace Explosion with maybe Meteor mash, this way you deal with Machamp leads as well as taunt leads such as Azelf, M.MASH+bullet punch=OHKO.

Anyways this is all I got in mind now, Good luck solider.

wow, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm seriously considering stealing that Celebi set for a little while. :p

Yeah, it does get totally walled by some stuff like Torterra, but no body uses it that much. This team looks really amazing. The only problems I can see are a lack of synergy and too many t-wave users as many people have said. You can try Body Slam on your Jirachi or even use something bizarre like Babiri/expert belt Mixtar so Scizor doesn't completely screw you over and you can dismantle teams.

@ Metagross66: Don't setjack me boy! That's MAI set. I luvs it.

@Somalia: Thanks for the input, I'm thinking I'll replace the jirachi, and see how it goes. The celebi DOES, however, own in it's current state, but I'll give it a shot.

@Blackcotton: Thanks for the input. :D

@Zeffy: Thanks for the help, again! :D That looks like a nice set there. I'll give it a shot.

NEEEED.... MORE.... RATERS....!

You have a big problem with :
485.png

---
Nature : Modest
Item : Leftovers
EVs : 248 HP / 56 SpA / 204 SpD
- Lava Plume
- Roar
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Jirachi and Celebi can't hurt him and Tyranitar can be burned / phazed. Togekiss has Aura Sphere but Heatran can Roar and you'll take a lot of damages with Stealth Rock. You have Rotom for Trick him but it will be hard.

The big problem is you can't switch against a Fire Type. So, replace Togekiss to :

130.png

---
Nature : Adamant
Item : Leftovers
EVs : 156 HP / 72 Atk / 96 Def / 184 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Thunder Wave

@Boudouche: Thanks, I think I'll consider that. Togekiss isn't a "Key member" of my team.

@FalknerLevel7Pidgey: Gee, thanks.

You might want to replace Togekiss with Starmie. Starmie with LO and Hydro Pump/Ice Beam/Tbolt/Twave and Timid with 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe EV spread can handle Nape,Dnite, and Tran. In addition, you get to TWave and set up Tar for success. This handles 3 of those 4 threats to your team.

Have you considered a Lanturn somewhere? It teams amazingly with Togekiss, and while it doesn't wall Tran or Infernape, if they're paralysed it can still outspeed and KO. More to the point, alongside Togekiss it is possibly the most annoying pokemon in existence. It can paralyse, confuse, and add to that hax and great type synergy and you can basically just switch between them all day laughing.
