Lead

Girlfriend (Ninetales) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Drought
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Speed / 92 SpD
Will-O-Wisp
Toxic
Overheat
Hidden Power

Standardish Sun Team Lead. Drought is OBVIOUS OBVIOUS OBVIOUS, get sun going FAST. Then I just WoW / Toxic the opponent. HP Ice is to take out Dragon leads. Overheat takes out the standard Abomasnow lead on a Hail team.

Offense

Ninja (Shiftry) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Att. / 252 Speed
Leaf Storm
Dark Pulse
Focus Blast
Energy Ball

My favorite Shiftry set. I love Shiftry, he's a great Poke this gen, and has always LOOKED cool, but now that Chlorophyll's mechanics have changed he's a great Poke on a sun team. The EV spread gives him good defense and SpA. Dark Pulse, Leaf Storm, and Energy Ball for the STAB. And then add in Focus Blast for coverage.

Ambipom @ Flame Orb
Trait: Technician
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Speed / 92 SpD
Fling
Return
Acrobatics
Low Kick

Love this Poke, and love Flinging Flame Orbs, so this seemed to fit into this team pretty well. I can Fling the orb onto a sweep to take some Attack off of it. Then Acrobatic's get it's boost for no hold. Return has STAB and Low Kick gives coverage.

Defense

Tangrowth (Tangrowth) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def. / 4 SpD
Sleep Powder
Power Whip
Double Team
Leech Seed

This MAY seem a strange set, but I love it. I Sleep Powder first turn, then I use Leech Seed. Then I Double Team up. After I get +6, if it happens, I Power Whip them out.

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Att. / 8 Def. / 96 SpD
Reflect
Light Screen
Gyro Ball
Earthquake

Pretty obvious set. Come in on something I can live a few hits off of, then I use the first two turns for Screens. Then, depending on the opponents type, either use Gyro Ball or EQ. Gyro Ball is GREAT on him, considering he only has 91 Speed.

Shucks (Shuckle) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 200s SpD / 56 Def.
Power split
Defense curl
Rollout
Toxic

Defense Curl up to max Def. which is insane, I mean really. Then Power Split on some sort of sweep and Rollout on them. Toxic to get the extra damage after each turn.

I love power split shuckle but he works better in sandstorm. Shuckle could sweep better if it had:
Leftovers
EVs depend on weather or type but I would go with
252hp 200sp def 56def
Power split
Defense curl
Rollout
Knock off

Share power with whatever(on a vid it was blaziken)Curl 2-3 times and start rolling once you've missed start again. Knock off is there to just fill in but is useful against lefties and can be used in between curls. Shuckle works best around sandstorms as his special defence reaches around 900 if maxed.

On Tangrowth try more of a tank.

Tangrowth (Tangrowth) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def. / 4 Attack (If power whip) 4 SpA (if Solar beam)
Sleep Powder
Power Whip / Solar beam
Hidden power Ice / Earthquake
Leech Seed

HP Ice + Power Whip
Solar Beam + Earthquake
So you get a mixed tank who can leech seed and switch out for more healing.

Double Hit on Technition ambipom does more damage then Return AND hits 2ce so it breaks Substitutes :D

Double Team breaks the evasion clause =0. Such a waste on tangrowth anyways.

bump on the evasion clause.

Bronzong is kind of a strange for a sun team imo, seems like it would open him up to a lot of trouble should anybody carry a fire attack.

Don't have time for a full rate but I'll offer this advice - you have exactly one pokemon on your team who abuses Sun - Shiftry. Tangrowth and Bronzong's weaknesses are even exacerbated by it. Since you're not running Tales primarily to deny another weather either, I'd recommend either dropping Tales and Shiftry and making this a no-weather team (since they are sub-par without the correct support), or altering much of the rest of your team a lot if you want to actually abuse the Sun effectively.

Take a look at the link in my sig to the Sun article me and Zdrup are writing if you want to effectively make this into a more Sun abusive team, and PM me if you have any questions if you do take that direction.
