Team RAT6 (UU team)

So as the name says this is the 6th version of this team. Now first let me introduce myself my name in real life is Samuel Lemus but here i will go by Sukobi and even though i have played in Smogon University for a while i have never really used this rating system so i decided now what the hay. Now if only it were that simple one of the things i noticed is after raikou left UU :( i had to make up with something that would take its place, i can tell you now that nothing really does take its place but well after Raikou left i realized my team is nothing without it so i now I'm on my mission to replace it and hopefully keeping my faithful team...

ohyeah i dont know if the pictures come out or not i hope they do but if not im sorry and if someone can teach me how to i'll gladly edit it quickly

oh and another note you will notice my pokemon go with a name that isn't theres its something i do for laughs or chuckles*whichever occurs first* but if needed i will take that out too.

oyeah don't bash on me for my pokemons not being in a general order i sort of choose the pokemon's on random tabs not really paying attention to the order

On to my First poke
dugtrio

Lapras (Dugtrio) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aerial Ace
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Sucker Punch
---
I think most people are familiar with the Dugtrio Lead of the past*or present* i don't see it used commonly so its more of that sucker punch to get those other pokemons. I don't know much about stats or outspeeding anything but i gave it a scarf so i know i can outspeed just about everything except other Dugtrios with the exact build or some agility stuff*but thats not too common* As Dugtrio i expect it to die on a regular basis but it usually scores me a few kills. A obvious weakness i have noticed is that Uxie is a regularly used pokemon so from time to time sucker punch isn't enough and nightslash is a option but it seems too weak so if anyone has anything to say about that im all ears.

59.png

Venasaur (Arcanine) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 240 HP/168 Def/74 Spd/28 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Fire Blast
- Roar
---
Honestly this team just will-o-wisp's and roars and dies. First Blast is only useful on a regular basis when i find something like venasaur that likes to come in on Poliwrath and Dugtrio

Now the Reason i made this
408.png

Raikou (Luxray) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk/250 Spd/8 SDef
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Magnet Rise
- Night Slash
- Ice Fang
- Thunderbolt
---
Notice the name? It says Raikou but its obviously a Luxray, why you ask? because ever since the BL set i had to revamp my team. Originally Raikou had a similar type coverage like this a Life Orb, 252 special attack and speed and i think 6 def. Magnet rise was also a standard and that is one of the reason speed is close to max so that i can gain a ground immunity and hopefully live a longer life. Its a bulky enough pokemon so even if it gets hit it will live another day. The similarities to the old Raikou are the type coverage Magnet Rise is a common move for both but Raikou had Shadow Ball instead of Night Slash, Hidden Power ice instead of Ice Fang and both have Thunderbolt. Some will ask why thunderbolt? sure its more suited for physical tasks but i was going for a mixed type but i failled with EV spreads

128.png

Magikarp (Tauros) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Return
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Zen Headbutt
---
Nuff said it flopps around takes hits well and deals good damage. Return is there instead of Double Edge or something for the realiability and because life orb is present i wouldn't want to sacrifice any more hp per attack

122.png

Mr. Mime (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Filter
EVs: 136 HP/120 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Trick
---
Originally Sharpedo Was here in team RAT5 but it died too much so Mr.Mime took its place in this team as well as a new comer. A problem i noticed recently *which is a reason this may get locked for* is that sharpedo is a dark pokemon and i remember i sent it out to absorb some water and psychic attacks that my next pokemon would take which has fighting as a type. Sadly it has to go due to the need of trick for that freaking spiritomb.

62.png

Garchomp (Poliwrath) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Waterfall
- Bulk Up
- Substitute
---

Sub, Bulk, Focus or Waterfall depending on the Pokemon. After 6 Bulk Ups people quit or hope they have a roar or whirlwind pokemon that hits first. Thats the Purpose of this guy his bulk also allows him to take hits so i don't generally worry about him, you know dugtrio can absorb electric moves for him *if he is still alive*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now for some Author feedback of my own team or otherwise information to be known

Luxray was suppose to be a Raikou replacement but it has a sucky like Thugnificent sucky movepool and not having access to a good electric phys attack sorta sucks too. I was thinking Magneton b4 this guy but its weak to fighting which is something a pure electric doesn't have to worry about and has not weakness after a magnet rise.

Arcanine is a filler pokemon. It was better when Raikou was still around but for now i just use it with Tauros to switch in and out to lower enemy attack power if they got 1 to many boost plus it has will-o-wisp just for those occasions.

Dugtrio is a stable pokemon on my teams i have a number of them but this guy is in all of them, and with the exception of one team it is a scarf lead *the other team has it as a revenge killer which in my opinion makes it suck more because of its poor defenses*

Thats about it hopefully i did this RMT post right so i dont have to edit this stuff

Nitpick#1 if your going to use lead dugtrio I strongly suggest to change the item to focus sash and come on without any entry hazards in your team your welcoming early sweeps in addition to that common leads such as omastar and cloyster can ko you easily and proceed to setting up hazards.
Therefore use stealth rock instead of aeril ace and change the item.
Nitpick#2 Your team CANNOT win any form of stall no matter what. Like I said you need entry hazards and the key to making your team efficient is to keep pressuring your opponent while causing them damage from their switching.
Change Mr.mime to spiritomb to give anti-spinning facilities to your team as well as acting as your physic/ghost counters which you seem to have major issues with.
Spiritomb@leftovers careful 200hp/80att/100def/130sp.def
-Shadow sneak
-Pursuit
-Rest
-Sleep talk/Toxic
Nitpick#3 Is to change poliwrath into a blastoise seeing as you now dont have to worry about ghosts blocking you to spin of hazards thanks to tomb.
This also allows you to deal with swellow, feraligatr and Moltres much better.
Blastoise@leftovers bold
-Surf
-Rapid spin
-Hp grass
-Rest
I know this would change the overall purpose of this team from your original 'offensive' one to semi-stall but its much better seeing as you originally could not deal with any type of team whatsoever other than another team lacking the basic elements of a decent UU team.

I'll carry my rate on later but take the things I pointed out in mind and If you want I'll help you make it into stall if thats what you want.

Wise choice making the RMT, alot of players will hopefully help you about.

Alakazam should ALWAYS be used over mr. mime. It outclasses it in almost every sense, except maybe ability.

His team is weak enough to ghosts as it is letting them set up as they please, spiritomb is a anti-spinner as well as ghost trapper and strips opposing team of their anti-spinner and physic types.

yeah i know in the overall stats it beats Mr.Mime but i forgot to mention that the reason i use Mr.Mime is for the Trick and Thunderbolt. Sure Alakazam has trick as well but i think Mr.Mime does a better job at it because now with it i can usually switch with something better then the Choice Scarf *though i don't think anything really is better for this guy* but to the comment about Spiritomb, the reason i had this guy in the first place was so that spiritomb could be tricked and make it slightly weaker but as you noted i don't have stealth rock or rapid spin so i do regularly take damage from that.

Another thing about Alakazam vs Mr.Mime is that Mr.Mime has Filter which makes it 1/4 "stronger" against super effective attacks. Since the super effective types in question are Dark and Ghost well i regularly encounter shadow ball which i assume is set for a generally neutral attack on other pokemons or do fight the likes of Uxie so this makes Mr.Mime rather Bulky

Yeah haha i noticed that i can't stall well (though my poliwrath u suggested to switch actually does a good job at stalling if it gets to set up against another physical user pokemon) and i have noticed pokemons do set up fairly nice on me

Well the one thing that i was thinking is maybe Spiritomb for Arcanine? but then i lose that roar against those darned Baton Passers. Ahh the agony but I'll do some modifications and see which of these changes would really help this team.

Hi,

Dugtrio's set and item are odd. Change the item to Focus Sash, and the moveset to Earthquake/ Stone Edge/ Sucker Punch/ Stealth Rock. SR gives your team valuable support while Sucker Punch defeats Psychics and Ghosts.

That Arcanine set isn't doing much. So, I'd recommend using the Standard Morning Glory set, which is both a threatening sweeper and a bulky attacker:
Arcanine@Leftovers/ Life Orb
120 HP, 152 Atk, 236 Spe
Adamant
- Flare Blitz
- Extremespeed
- Will-O-Wisp/ Toxic(for Bulky Waters)
- Morning Sun

Your Luxray can be modified to the Standard Wall-Breaker set, which allows you to more effectively deal with Stall as well as hitting hard on both sides of the spectrum. This set breaks through tough walls like Milotic, Rhyperior, Registeel and Uxie:

Luxray@Life Orb
120 Atk, 152 Sp Atk, 236 Spe
Rash
- Thunderbolt
- Superpower
- Crunch
- HP Grass

Mr. Mime is outclassed by Alakazam. There are a number of sets you could run on Zam, but I'd just suggest going with an Encore + 3 attacks set, which gives your team support by stopping set up sweepers in their tracks. The moveset is Encore/ Psychic/ Signal Beam/ Focus Blast.

I'd suggest changing your Poliwrath to a defensive Milotic, which checks many physical threats in the metagame like Arcanine, Rhyperior and Feraligatr. Poliwrath's lack of recovery makes it easier to break, while Milotic has access to Recover. The set is Surf/ HP Grass/ Ice Beam/ Recover with max HP and Def.

Gl with the team.

If you want a scarfer with Trick and Thunderbolt then Rotom is worth a look since it actually gets STAB on thunderbolt and gives you a fighting and ground immunity
