Well, I thought of this team when I actually saw a youtube video with a trainer using Heracross, so I deicided that I should try and use one! (I never have...) So this team is basically an upgrade or sub to my "Team AntiVirus".
Honchkrow @ Focus Sash
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 6 Def
Naughty
Insomnia
- Thunder Wave
- Whirlwind
- Drill Peck
- Sucker Punch
Honchkrow is my starter. She basically cripples many pokemon in the match with her Thunder Wave, and then if the situation gets grim, she can use Sucker Punch and go down fighting (Drill Peck and Sucker Punch have both 1 hit ko'ed many pokemon.).
Forretress @ Leftovers
172 HP / 86 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed
Sturdy
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball
- Light Screen
- Earthquake
Forretress takes the role as my physical wall. For you people wondering: huh? Light Screen? wtf is your problem? Well, as I saw, Light Screen can actually help my team out alot by cutting special attacks in half. Overall, this is just your basic Forretress set, but with Light Screen added over Stealth Rock. Also Iron Ball gives me coverage over Weavile, and Earthquake helps alittle against Metragross, Lucario, and Infernape (Only if the latter is not a Mixape though...)
Snorlax @ Leftovers
168 HP / 120 Def / 220 Sp. Def
Careful
Thick Fat
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Crunch
- Earthquake
Snorlax takes the role of my special wall. Snorlax happens to be my favorite pokemon for many reasons. With Curse, Snorlax is an almost unstoppable force. With a good 3 or 4 curses under his belt, he takes about 55% from a Close Combat from Infernape, then retaliates with a 1 hit ko Earthquake. He even does 70% damage to Blissey with a 4 Curse, STAB Body Slam. And then he takes about 7% damage from even the best ice beam or fire blast in the game. Also, he does a great job as a Heatran counter.
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
252 Atk / 120 SpA / 136 Speed
Naughty
Levitate
- U-Turn
- Flamethrower
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
Flygon is a very underestimated dragon-type, so I included him on my team to prove a point. His speed is already really good, but when combined with a Choice Scarf, he is guarenteed to attack first, so someone who does not expect a Flygon will be for a huge surprise when he starts wreaking havoc on a team. U-Turn is for a quick switch with some damage, Flamethrower helps me against Metagross and the ever annoying Bonzong alittle, Earthquake helps me alot against Heatran, Lucario, and even dents Blissey! Draco Meteor is a suicide tactic that I use when either I am backed into a corner, or when I swtich into battle against another dragon type when I already have low HP.
Alakazam @ Life Orb
252 SpA / 6 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid
Synchronize
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Grass Knot
- Charge Beam
Alakazam is a forgotten Special Sweeper who is very powerful. Alakazam has enough sp. attack and speed to outrun AND ko many pokemon in the game. Psychic is a nice STAB attack that is very strong and has the occasional effect of lowering the foe's sp. def, which is always nice. Shadow Ball has the same effect and use, except it has no STAB bonus. Grass Knot destroys heavy pokemon who try to hinder me (Such as Rhyperior, Hippowdon, Golem?, T-Tar, and can handle Vaporeon (But, does not work very much...) Charge Beam is just for Gyrados, who may try to set up on me, also Charge Beam works better than Grass Knot on Vaporeon.
Heracross @ Wide Lens
252 Atk / 6 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly
Guts
- Swords Dance
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
Heracross, as I mentioned earlier is a pokemon that I wanted to try out after seeing it's desructive power in many matches. Swords Dance boosts his already incredible attack strength to an even more deadly stat. Megahorn simply wreaks Physhic and Dark Types, as well as any other pokemon who does not resist Bug type attacks. Stone Edge makes Heracross laugh in Gyrados' face. Close Combat is just...pure..."pwnage" so to speak, little or no pokemon can actually survive it without alittle HP left (Except Defensive Walls...). Only two words describe this pokemon: Simply Amazing. Also paired with Honchkrow's T-Waving role, Heracross actually can pummel a whole team.
Well, this is my latest team. Please tell me what you think about it. Please make sure to leave actual advice, not just, "Yeah, Flygon sucks, use Mence or Chomp or even Nite."
Thanks
