So I'm Insomniac and while I am new to posting, I am not new to the forums or shoddy. My team is focused on using entry hazards and quick but heavy damage to enable a specs raikou sweep. I am looking for some tips to make it about this 1100 barrier I am having. So heres my team:
Team at a glance:
Frosslass@Expert Belt
Timid (4HP/252 Spc.Attack/252 Speed)
~Ice Beam
~Spikes
~Taunt
~Thunder Wave
Ah Frosslas. A very dependable lead if played correctly. Most Ambipom and other anti leads always try to taunt me off the bat in which I go to Ice Beam for the 2KO. Spikes in obvious and greatly aides in helping Raikou sweep. Taunt is to beat slower weather leads like Jumpluff and Ambipom. Thunder Wave is mainly filler and is only used if Frosslas stays later in the game which is not often.
Feraligatr@ Leichi Berry
Adamant (4HP/252 Attack/252 Speed)
~Aqua Jet
~Dragon Dance
~Earthquake
~Ice Punch
Feraligtr. What can I say about him? He often comes in after Frosslas dies, as he resists many of Frosslas' counters. This is mainly the standard DDgatr with a few changes. I chose Leichi berry over Life orb because I found many moves left Feraligtr with a few HP while I was Dragon Dancing and +2 Attack and +1 speed usually allows me to sweep the rest of the opponent's team. Although I am starting to miss the power difference. I used Aqua Jet over Waterfall because many frail priority users think they can end my sweep with and it helps Feraligtr become my Dugtrio counter as well, who stops Raikou cold.
Sceptile@Life Orb
Hasty (88 Attack/216 Speed/206 Spc. Attack)
~Earthquake
~Hidden Power Ice
~Rockslide
~Leaf Storm
Sceptile. This is an interesting thread I found in the np thread in the UU forum. It performs very well, taking out many of its would be counters with the QuakeSlide combo and its fellow grass types with Hidden Power Ice. Leaf Storm is way too good to pass up, providing a very powerfull stab. He is my only ground resist which is bad since 4 of my pokemon are weak to Earthquake.
Magmotar@Life Orb
Naive(8 Attack/248 Speed/ 252 Spc. Attack)
~Cross Chop
~Fire Blast
~Hidden Power Grass
~Thunderbolt
A very hard hitter with a good peice of surprise factor. You would be suprised at how many people underestimate Magmotar's base 125 special attack Which is the second highest in the tier under only Alakazam and tied with moltres. While it lacks the speed of Moltres it has a few advatanges of why I use it. First, it can use thunderbolt to take down Bulky waters like Milotic. I use cross chop mainly for chansey and rock types. Fire blast is my main STAB and HP Grass of for ground pokemon with high defense, like donphan and Rhyperior.
Rhyperior@Leftovers
Adamant (136 HP/244 Attack/128 Sp.Defense)
~Earthquake
~Megahorn
~Stealth Rock
~Stone Edge
Rhyperior. This is by far the most expendable member of my team. Once it sets up stealth rock it usualy becomes dead weight because of its low speed and easily exploitable special defense. I was looking for a reliable stealth rock set upper and people were recommending Rhyperior but I found it to be consistently underwhelming. Are there and suggestions as a replacement?
Raikou@Choice Specs
Modest (4 HP/252 Speed/252 Spc. Attack)\
~Extrasensory
~Hidden Power Grass
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
The star of the show. The rest of the moves beside Thunderbolt may as well be filler as most of Raikou's checks would be taken out by the time this late-game sweeper comes in. Just to take a look at its power, this raikou soundly 1KOs Regice and 2KOs Registeel and Regirock with stealth rocks up. This thing is pretty unstopable and can end up winning me the match by itself against the opponents remaining 3 or 4 Pokemon.
So that is my team. Any comments or critiques? An UU threat list will be posted later.
