Team stallraptor (plz rate first team)

So my plan with this team was to base it around one of my favorite pokemon, staraptor. With an extremely high base attack stat, great ability and a number of common resistances (most notably earthquake), I figured he would be a great late game sweeper once all of his counters had been properly weakened or removed.

Basically I am posting this in the hopes that more experienced trainers will be able to spot any huge flaws/weaknesses that I have not found.

my lead:

Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
252 spd/ 252 atk/ 4 hp
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake

Aerodactyl bests many other leads in OU with its great speed and ability to almost always lay down a stealth rock (at the very least) before it is KO'd. My goal with his is to get out a stealth rock and possibly taunt the opposing lead then use the free switch to either send in a counter to the pokemon that ko'd dactyl or send in staraptor to scout for its counters so that i can take them out.

Fortress @ shed shell
252 hp/112 atk/ 144 def
Relaxed
-Explosion
-Toxic Spikes
-Rapid spin
-Spikes

Fortress is like the glue of my team, my physical wall, spin support has two spike moves that can both rack up massive damage and he is my only real counter against a gyra sweep (explosion though vaporeon can phaze it out with roar) Possibly suggestions on how many ev's i should put into attack to ohko swampert after sr damage??

dpmfa134.png

Vaporeon @ leftovers
188 hp/ 252 spd/ 68 sp atk
Calm
-Heal bell
-Wish
-Surf
-Roar

STAB surf for hetrean and everything else to purely support my team, roar is great for racking up entry damage as well as phazing away status boasts that would otherwise be deadly too my team. Heal bell gets rid of status that could otherwise stop me from out stalling my opponent while wish is a great option to heal my walls that lack viable recovery moves.

dpmfa442.png

Spiritomb @ leftovers
252 hp/ 252 def/ 4 spd
Bold

-Rest
-Sleeptalk
-Calm mind
-Dark pulse

This spiritomb set was suggested eon master (over at serebii) me by and in almost all the games i've palyed with this team it has been the one that ended up sweeping, i never even had to switch out staraptor! the strategy is switch in on a resisted attack or a pokemon i know i can wall, calm mind as many times as possible, rest when necessary and then dark pulse which after a few calm minds can almost ohko anything after stealth rock/spike damage great for stalling pokemon out when toxic spikes is in play too!

dpmfa034.png

Nidoking @ life orb
252 atk/ 168 spatk / 88 spd
naughty nature

-Sucker Punch
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast
-Ice beam

Needed something that could rid me of my bulky steel and ground type problems. His typing works nicely with my Pokemon as he resists the electric attacks commonly sent out against vaporeon and staraptor as well as the rock attacks directed at him too.
* Sucker punch was added to help me combat my weakness against ghost pokemon like gengar and rotom

and finally

dpmfa398.png

Staraptor @ Choice band
252 atk/ 252 spd/ 4 hp
adamant

-Brave Bird
-Close Combat
-Return
-U-turn

My goal is to use this pokemon to scout and bring out common counters than take them down hopefully with nidoking or weaken them by constantly forcing them in and out racking up damage so that staraptor can pick them off late game or revenge kill them if necessary.
*Added return over double edge to reduce the amount of recoil damage and choice band over scarf because by the time i switch out raptor late game alot of the faster threats that could revenge kill him will have already been dealt with*

Please rate and tell me what you think!! I could really use all the help i can get. Im very new at this.

Spiritomb @ leftovers
252 hp/ 252 def/ 4 spd
Bold

-Rest
-Sleep
-Calm mind
-Dark pulse
What is "Sleep"?
Besies that, maybe you should have Rotom-A instead of Spiritomb as Rotom-A boasts Levitate, can Rest and Sleep Talk, has an electric STAB, and can have a signiture move that can help your team. Overhet beats Scizor, while LEafstorm keepsSwampert at bay.
Besides that, ... nothing.
Yeah, I'm not good at rating teams XD. Sorry!

Yeah i meant sleep talk lol and i actually just changed him to jolly this morning i was even thinking of running a choice scarf set maybe as i've been running to problems late game of him getting out speeded any opinions??

Couldnt i always roar ddmence away with vaporeon?

If you were to build "Around" staraptor, you need you understand, that in the fast paced OU, you may not have a chance to get fully set up. Aerodactly is a fast, reliable stealth rocker, however rarely has one of my opponents set up more than one layer of spikes or toxic spikes, and never have I been able to do so either. To rely on forretress to be able to get a reliable residual damage is foolhardy, as Forretress's Gaping 4X fire weakness and low Sp. defense in general leave him to be switched in upon and. I'm not saying its a horrible idea to put forretress there, all I'm saying is that Residual damage is by no means a way to go in order to weaken or remove staraptors Counters. So to put it short, in this kind of metagame, it may be more worthwhile and important to seek out speedy pokemon with a movepool that compliments staraptors, instead of a few bulky pokemon capable of doing small amounts of damage, when you think about it, getting 3 layers of spikes up almost never happens, as people will immediatly switch in and kill your spiker. And toxic spikes are even less important as metagross, jirachi and heatran all Exist in great abundance, not to mention Salamence and Zapdos completely avoid spikes, and more often than not carry roost. So your team has an AMAZING steel/psychic typed weakness, and to count on nidoking alone to get rid of it is foolhardy, adding heatran or donphan to the roster greatly increases the viability of this team, and also adding gengar allows for a better ability to clear weaknesses.

Heatran
252 Hp/252 special attack/4 speed modest, Leftovers
Substitute, Fire blast, Earth power, Dragon pulse
Lets be honest, you switch in Heatran, what do most people do? switch into the next rational pokemon to take a fire blast, well with this set, this allows you to sub up on the first turn, and kill whatever the opponent sends out. Generally you would switch this into a metagross to scare it away and attract a salamence or whatever attacker thinks they can absorb fire blast

Might I suggest adding scarfed gengar In Lou of either forretress or Vaporeon (preferably Vaporeon, as Forretress picks up must of your teams weaknesses and all Vaporeon is, is a third pokemon for thunderbolt to impale) It can take out Tyranitar, doing 120% average, and can kill opposing gengars. However, gengar should be used as a revenge killer, and not a switch in as that is generally Forretress's job. This gengar should be modest 252 sp. attack and 252 Speed, the modest is for the ensured kill on tyranitar, but more importantly the chance to OHKO Latias, however if you feel your team lacks speed, you can use timid.

You also may want an offensive donphan In Spiritomb's place, with Earthquake, ice shard, Stone edge and seed bomb holding an expert belt
This is adamant with 172-252-0-0-84
The seed bomb is to catch the drop on a cheeky lead-pert who is shifting about your team with roar, Stone edge is for zapdos, to whom it will do up to 68% of damage (the physically defensive set) and more or less likely cause Zapdos to have to switch, because it will risk dying to the Earthquake after a roost or stone edge without a healing option.
Earthquake is a stab option, but also an astounding move and Ice shard will unfortunatly NOT Ohko Salamence after an intimidate, but it will do a hefty 60% average, which, to an inexperienced player who does not know Donphan could learn such a move, may win you the match.

I hope I helped, don't take what I said like a bible, and If you don't "want" to take it its fine.

I don't think that it's worth your time to put sucker punch on Nidoking, or even have him on your team, seeing as he really doesn't contribute much overall. (or maybe he does but I couldn't tell based on your description of him). Seeing as you have a major Mence problem, I would replace him with Life orb Mamoswine, giving you similar coverage and that crucial ice priority to get Mence off your back. If I could, I would recommend the donphan set recommended by Rextapion, but it is unable to OHKO Mence 100% of the time, even with SR damage, without a Choice Band which makes it an overall liability to the rest of your team.

Here's the set.
Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Shard
~ Stone Edge
~ Ice Fang / Superpower

I would recommend Superpower over Ice fang, unless flyers are giving you a lot of trouble.

Hope that I helped!
