As the title says this is the team I used in the smogon tour not that long ago, I also used in the WC but this team didn't perform as well as I wanted too, so I decided I am just going to retire the team and hopefully make another one that kicked ass like this one.
As you will see below this team has a theme, and the theme to the team is all choice users with 3 of the members having trick to disable the opponent.
Anyways on to the team itself and preview of the team.
Now onto the team and their descriptions.
Smeargle (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Trick
Ahh yes, probably my favorite lead I have ever used, but saying I came up with the idea of the lead on my own would be false. LoveDestiny was actually the reason why I decided to go with smeargle lead, after I saw how it really gets you off the right start, this is not the exact smeargle lead he uses I just wanted to use the idea. Anyways the point of this Smeargle is to prevent SR and help me put the opponent at a quick disadvantage with a pokemon being asleep. The only downside to this smeargle lead is that it loses to Jirachi lead, which I dont mind at all.
Oh and Smeargle is amazing to quickly disable stall teams right away, since my team doenst care to much about SR, il trick and then spore. Disabling 2 pokemon right away.
Salamence (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Outrage
Onto salamence, the last person on my team who I decided on to be the final roster after testing various things that could be in this place to help me break stall. Since there is usually no SR on the field because of smeargle, this thing pretty much comes in whenever it wants and just hits like a truck, this is also my stall breaker after I have gotten rid of either Forry or Skarm, the most likely only steel user on a stall team, it comes in and just wreaks havak. The reason for jolly is to have a chance to speed tie base 100's and to out speed Gliscor, I have tried adamant but I just didnt like it, the speed made a huge difference in games.
Rotom-h @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Trick
- Rest
- Thunderbolt
Onto rotom-H, probably one of the best support pokemon in OU right now and is very hard to counter unless you know its set. The purpose of this rotom is to revenge Gyras if they manage to get a dragon dance off. It is also my swtich into to random EQs and fighting attacks. The reason for rest over Overheat is to help out agianst stall teams or bulky offensive teams who have a hard time takin down rotom. Trick is obviously there to help cripple whatever thinks counters rotom. I think this is the most important member on my team, it really holds everything together and losing it early game means im in trouble.
Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Trick
- Fire Punch
- U-turn
Yes, another scarfer on my team, but this Jirachi serves a whole different purpose then what my scarf rotom does, Jirachi provides as a great latias switch in, it lets me scout its counters with U-Turn and its my TTar counter and revenger for DD variants, also helps disable cursetar with trick/iron head flinches. Jirachi also helps me revenge mences and flygons, the reason for jolly nature and maxing out speed is because I am paranoid, I really hate losing speed ties our having random stuff outspeed me, its also to have a chance to speed tie Jolly flygons, and if they are jolly chances arent EQ isnt going to OHKO me.
Scizor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- U-turn
Skizzur, a pokemon I cant make a team without, the most used pokemon in OU and will remain holding that spot. The reason I have scizor on my team is because of its typing and ability to scout greatly, as U-turning with no SR down is pretty amazing, and having the opponent eat SR and eat a uturn regardless of being a counter adds up in damage. I tend to try my best to keep scizor alive, this is the pokemon I count on late game to clean up with BP when everything is weakned. I dont really use scizor as a celebi latias counter because I dont like risking HP fire, thats why I have jirachi with U-turn for, to keep scizor safe from random hp fires which I ate. Also the easiest pokemon to choose for an all choice team.
Vaporeon (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 192 Def/64 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Ice Beam
- Signal Beam
- Surf
Yep specs vappy, the reason for having is the huge suprise factor it pumps, I originally had latias in this spot but it was just letting scizor come in and rampage on my team. Helps weaken rotoms early game since they love swtiching into vappy, I can also use vappy to counter other bulky waters as they cant hit it very hard, except for cune if it has gotten a few CMs off. I decided to go with vappy since every team needs a bulky water anyways, vaporeon is the pokemon I like to send out after smeargle has spore something, because it is gaurenteed to hit something hard that is not named blissey. Vappy also is my DDgyra counter and helps to take hits from scizor, the EVs are from the anylysis page, but adjusted slightly, (4 more def).
Anyways thats the team, thanks for reading and if you can help out and help me fix a few things it would be great.
