Pet Mod Teammates for OU

Original Pokemon: Roaring Moon
Fakemon Name: Tumball
Typing: Grass / Flying
Abilities: Infiltrator / --- | Reckless
Weight: whatever gloom weighs
Stats: 100/110/80/80/100/60 (530)
Movepool: Wood Hammer, Brave Bird, Wild Charge, Grassy Glide, Earthquake, Knock Off, Leaf Blade, Acrobatics, Swords Dance, will fill out more / maybe change a lot of stuff later
Explanation: Slow breaker that's difficult to handle defensively but basically explodes whenever you use one of its STAB moves. Roaring Moon can be used as a breaker or a cleaner and a sub like this would lead into making it a cleaner. Ting-Lu and Dondozo are cited as two of the biggest Roaring Moon answers and uses its weird defensive typing to switch into both of those fairly easily. Also is weak to Stealth Rock and obvious recoil, especially since its main targets in this case have high HP, so it's going to end up playing like Blaziken from last gen except slow. Swords Dance likely won't be good but I want to allow for Grassy Glide shenanigans if people want to have fun with that.

Original Pokemon: Iron Moth
Fakemon Name: Moosicle
Typing: Ice
Abilities: Ice Body / Snow Cloak | Snow Warning
Weight: whatever avalugg weighs
Stats: 70/70/90/120/80/100 (530)
Movepool: Blizzard, Ice Beam, Freeze-Dry, Earth Power, U-Turn, Energy Ball, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, WILL NOT learn Aurora Veil, will fill out more / maybe change a lot of stuff later
Explanation: Booster with Nasty Plot. Shares a lot of primary checks with Iron Moth which will allow this to pave the way for that. Will lack a lot of defensive use without Snow up but Snow is still very helpful for it.

Original Pokemon: Iron Valiant
Fakemon Name: Mestal
Typing: Poison/Rock
Abilities: Inner Focus / Justified | Supreme Overlord
Weight: whatever golem weighs
Stats: 76/72/101/101/66/112 (528)
Movepool: Power Gem, Sludge Bomb, Calm Mind, Fire Blast, will fill out more / maybe change a lot of stuff later
Explanation: Iron Valiant is broken honestly there's a number of ways you can go about this with all the sets lmao. Here I have something that appreciates it being able to break Slowking-G and Gholdengo with SD sets. Naturally struggles with Grounds if you're scared of Supreme Overlord.

Fakemon Name: Beetdown (Counterpart: :iron-moth:)
Type:
Grass.png
Ground.png

Abilities: Leaf Guard, Guts
Stats: 105 | 112 | 87 | 60 | 86 | 55 [BST= 505]
Movepool: Body Press, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Grassy Glide, High Horsepower, Ice Punch, Leech Seed, Seed Bomb, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Rapid Spin, Superpower, Wood Hammer
Weight: 192.0 kg
Explanation: Bulky gutsmon that can take care of fellow Grounds and specials walls that Iron Moth struggles with. Can then spin away hazards that would otherwise chip Moth hard, and/or set up rocks to help Moth secure the late-game KOs it wants.

Fakemon Name: Bineureel (Counterpart: :iron-valiant:)
Type:
Psychic.png

Abilities: Soundproof, Neuroforce, Marvel Scale
Stats: 75 | 85 | 85 | 100 | 110 | 85 [BST= 540]
Movepool: Calm Mind, Crunch, Dark Pulse, Flip Turn, Knock Off, Light Screen, Psychic, Psyshock, Rain Dance, Recover, Reflect, Surf, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Thunder Fang, Trick
Weight: 19.8 kg
Explanation: Covers for Iron Valiant's below average defenses with solid special bulk and access to screens. Neuroforce gives it extra firepower and helps it threaten Poisons that Valiant has some trouble with, while Marvel Scale lets it absorb a burn for Physical Valiant sets and then more safely set up screens.

Original Pokemon:
iron-moth.png

Fakemon Name:
Idolphin (I need a better name)
Typing: Water/Fairy
Abilities: Water Absorb/Pixilate
Weight: 27 kg
Stats: 90/120/65/75/90/127 (BST 567)
Movepool: Attract, Moonblast, Terrain Pulse, Explosion, Surf, Sparkling Aria, Scald, Strength Sap, Wave Crash, Flip Turn, Dazzling Gleam, Pound, Aqua Jet, Liquidation, Rising Voltage, Hyper Voice, Electric Surge, Taunt, Encore, Throat Chop, Psycho Cut, Toxic Spikes, Laser Focus
Explanation: Can weaken Iron Moth’s checks (notably Dragon types which are checks given the lack of a physical Fairy move) with a Laser Focus boosted Explosion. Also has good synergy with it (Water resist, could be immune to flip turn, beats Ground types; Iron Moth beats Ammonguss). There is an opportunity cost if you want to run Explosion given the Scald, Flip Turn and Wave Crash immunity is useful in offensive teams.

24 hours! I will mention that there’s currently only one teammate for Iron Valiant. We need at least 3 in order to vote. I encourage people to finish their posts with teammates for all 3 Pokémon if possible, but especially Iron Valiant. I will give extra time if needed.

Subs are closed! I apologize for the wait. It took a while before we could get enough subs for voting. Vetoes will be here shortly if necessary.

Original Pokemon: :roaring-moon:
Fakemon Name: Armorgeist
Typing: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Battle Armor | Clear Body
Weight: 120 kg
Stats: 100/120/110/60/95/70
Movepool: Iron Head, Swords Dance, Shadow Sneak, Poltergeist, Parting Shot, Night Slash, Agility
Explanation: Switches into Fairy, Dragon, and Fighting moves for Roaring Moon. It hits hard with a Swords Dance up but is relatively slow unless you do double setup with Agility.

Yeah this is too strong. You have to be careful with Poltergeist. Can easily make an otherwise fine mon broken. I recommended you replace Poltergeist with Spirit Shackle or Shadow Bone if you still want a good Ghost STAB. Alternatively you could cut the Attack by 15 if you want to keep the move.

That’s it. Only one veto! Not surprising when hardly anyone subbed this slate. You have 24 hours to fix it. Otherwise, we’ll begin voting.

Moon: Armorgeist, Myrmiron (SV), Pixilard

Valiant: Bineureel, Jellorant, Mestal

Next slate will likely start tomorrow, but I'm thinking about coding in the mod for dragonheaven now that we have enough Pokemon to make a full team, so look forward for that. I'm also thinking about ways to get more people interested in this mod since we're struggling with getting enough people to sub and vote. I would appreciate it if people encourage others to participate, but it is not mandatory.

Slate 3: Hazard Setters

:sv/Meowscarada: :sv/Glimmora: :sv/Ting-Lu:

We are now dealing with three big hazard setters in OU! While they may seem similar, their roles are quite different, even in the way they set hazards. Meowscarda pulls off offensive hazard sets, using Spikes to inflict chip damage on opponents that switch in, while also providing team support. Its high speed allows it to use Spikes without consequence despite its fragility. Glimmora serves as a suicide lead whose main objective is to set as many hazards as possible before sacrificing itself to let another teammate in safely. This set is most often seen in hyper offensive teams. Lastly, Ting-Lu is a defensive hazard setter who takes advantage of its bulk to set both Stealth Rock and Spikes, often multiple times during a given game. Both Ting-Lu and Meowscarda fit in both balance, offensive teams in the former, and stall in the latter. However, hazards work best when there's teammates to best take advantage of them, either through offense that takes advantage of chip or Pokemon that can help keep said hazards up to cripple opposing teams. Let's give these hazard setters an extra hand!

Also, the metagame should be getting coded while this slate is going underway, so get ready!

Original Pokemon: Meowscarada
Fakemon Name: Lagodrona
Typing: Ghost/Flying
Abilities: Quick Draw/Steadfast/Strong Jaw
Weight: As much as a Croboat
Stats: 55/95/70/40/75/165
Movepool: Poison Jab, Shadow Claw, Taunt, Acrobatics, Spite, Toxic, Scary Face, Torment, Venoshock, Corrosive Gas
Explanation: Every masquerade needs it's sidekick, and this Spanish Bat thief will prove to be purrfect for the little cat. His excellent speed and ability to protect Hazards from being removed by Taunting away Defog and being immune to Rapid Spin makes him a brilliant backup attacker should Meowscarada fall.

Original Pokemon: Glimmora
Fakemon Name: Rubíroca
Typing: Fire/Dark
Abilities: Anger Point/Emergency Exit/Flame Body
Weight: As much as an Avalugg
Stats: 100/115/80/55/75/75
Movepool: Flare Blitz, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Endure, Power Gem, Brick Break, Protect, Fire Spin, Will-O-Wisp, Explosion, Fire Punch, Flame Charge, Bulldoze, Mach Punch, Shadow Sneak
Explanation: With your opponents crippled from Entry Hazards, this Infernal Ruby Golem steps in to clean up the remains! He hits and runs hard, and will leave your opponents wishing they'd deal with Glimmora sooner.

Original Pokemon: Ting-Lu
Fakemon Name: Ojokapi
Typing: Psychic
Abilities: Super Luck/Sniper/Psychic Surge
Weight: As much as a Farigiraf
Stats: 74/71/80/114/58/80
Movepool: Psychic Terrain, Psychic, Psychic Noise, Expanding Force, Glare, Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, Mimic, Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, Protect, Amnesia, Substitute, Confuse Ray, Stored Power, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Mean Look, Roar
Explanation: A cycloptic Okapi will make your opponents think twice about bringing a Fighting-type to Ting Lu. When he goes down, this Pokémon will be free to bombard the enemy team with a barrage of deadly Psychic attacks. In addition, his Psychic Surge can make sure your fast Pokémon can set up safely.
